Step 1. Unpack the washer-dryer.

Step 2. Check whether the INDESIT IWDD 7123 S has been damaged during transport. If this is the case, do not install it and contact your retailer.

Step 3. Remove the 4 protective screws and the rubber bush with the respective spacer, situated on the rear of the appliance.

Step 4. Seal the gaps using the plastic plugs provided.

Step 5. Keep all the parts: you will need them again if the washer-dryer needs to be moved to another location.

Packaging materials are not children’s toys.

Your machine may make a considerable amount of noise if the two front feet have not been adjusted correctly.

Step 1. Install the INDESIT IWDD 7123 S on a flat sturdy floor, without resting it up against walls, furniture cabinets or other objects.

Step 2. If the floor is not perfectly level, compensate for any unevenness by tightening or loosening the adjustable front feet. The angle of inclination, measured according to the worktop, must not exceed 2 degrees.

Levelling your appliance correctly provides stability and avoids vibrations, noise, and shifting during operation. If placed on a fitted or loose carpet, adjust the feet to allow enough room for ventilation beneath the washer-dryer.

Step 1. Connect the supply pipe by screwing it to a cold water tap using a 3/4 gas threaded connection. Before performing the connection, allow the water to run freely until it is perfectly clear.

Step 2. Connect the other end of the water inlet hose to the INDESIT IWDD 7123 S, screwing it onto the appliance’s cold water inlet, situated on the top right-hand side on the rear of the appliance.

Step 3. Make sure there are no kinks or bends in the hose.

The water pressure at the tap must be within the values indicated in the Technical details table. If the water inlet hose is not long enough, contact a specialist store or an authorised serviceman.

Connect the drain hose, without bending it, to a draining duct or a wall drain situated between 65 and 100 cm from the floor.

The drain hose may be connected to an under-sink trap. Before connecting the drain hose from the machine, ensure that any blanks or removable ends have been taken off the spigot.

If it is placed over the edge of a basin or sink, ensure the free end of the hose is not underwater.

The use of hose extensions is advised against; if absolutely necessary, the extension must have the same diameter as the original hose and must not exceed 150 cm in length. Ensure the end of the drain hose does not go down more than 15 cm (6 inches) into a standpipe to prevent self-syphoning.

Before plugging the appliance into the mains socket, make sure that:

– The socket is earthed and in compliance with the applicable law.

– The socket is able to sustain the appliance’s maximum power load indicated on the Technical Data Plate fixed on the machine.

– The supply voltage is included within the values indicated on the Technical Data Plate.

– The socket is compatible with the washer-dryer’s plug. If this is not the case, replace the socket or the plug.

The washer-dryer should not be installed in an outdoor environment, even where the area is sheltered, because it may be very dangerous to leave it exposed to damp, rain and thunderstorms.

Once installed, the mains socket must be within easy reach. Do not use extensions or multiple sockets. The power supply cable must never be bent or dangerously compressed.

Once the INDESIT IWDD 7123 S has been installed, and before you use it for the first time, run a wash cycle with detergent and no laundry, using wash cycle 1.

The washer-dryer is fitted with a self-cleaning pump. Sometimes small items like coins or buttons may fall into the pre-chamber. To access it:

Step 1. Make sure the wash cycle has finished and unplug the appliance.

Step 2. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover panel on the lower front part of the INDESIT IWDD 7123 S.

Step 3. Unscrew the lid by rotating it anti-clockwise. A little water may trickle out; this is normal.

Step 4. Clean the inside thoroughly.

Step 5. Screw the lid back on.

Step 6. Reposition the panel, making sure the hooks are securely in place before you push it onto the appliance.

Detergent dispenser drawer: Used to dispense detergents and washing additives.

ON/OFF button: Switches the washer-dryer on and off.

WASH CYCLE knob: Programmes the wash cycles. During the wash cycle, the knob does not move.

FUNCTION buttons with indicator light: Used to select the available functions. The indicator light remains lit for selected functions.

TEMPERATURE knob: Sets the temperature or the cold wash cycle.

DRYING knob: Used to set the desired drying programme.

DISPLAY: Used to view the duration of available cycles, remaining time of a cycle in progress, or a delayed start countdown.

DELAY TIMER button: Press to set a delayed start time for the selected wash cycle.

WASH CYCLE PROGRESS indicator lights: Monitor the progress of the wash cycle.

DOOR LOCKED indicator light: Indicates whether the door may be opened.

START/PAUSE button with indicator light: Starts or temporarily interrupts the wash cycles.

Step 1. Switch the washer-dryer on by pressing the ON/OFF button. All indicator lights will switch on for a few seconds, then they will switch off and the START/PAUSE indicator light will pulse.

Step 2. Load the laundry and close the door.

Step 3. Set the WASH CYCLE knob to the desired programme.

Step 4. Set the washing temperature.

Step 5. Set the drying cycle if necessary.

Step 6. Measure out the detergent and washing additives into the dispenser drawer.

Step 7. Select the desired functions.

Step 8. Start the wash cycle by pressing the START/PAUSE button. The corresponding indicator light will remain lit in green.

Step 9. At the end of the cycle, the END indicator light will switch on. Once the DOOR LOCKED light turns off, you can open the door. Switch the appliance off by pressing the ON/OFF button.

Turn the DRYING knob to select the desired option. There are two options:

Option A: Based on time, from 40 minutes to 180 minutes.

Option B: Based on dryness level:

– Iron dry: Suitable for clothes needing ironing; remaining dampness softens creases.

– Hanger dry: Ideal for clothes that do not need to be dried fully.

– Cupboard dry: Suitable for laundry to be put back in a cupboard without ironing.

If your laundry load is greater than the maximum stated load for drying, perform the wash cycle first, then divide the garments into groups and run separate “Drying only” cycles using cycles 11 or 12.

EcoTime: Enables you to adjust drum rotation, temperature, and water for a reduced load of lightly soiled cotton and synthetic fabrics. It allows you to wash in less time, saving water and electricity.

Delay Timer: To set a delayed start, press the corresponding button repeatedly until the required delay period is reached. To remove it, press the button until “OFF” appears on the display.

1200-600: Press this button to reduce the spin speed.

Open the detergent dispenser drawer and pour in the detergent or washing additive as follows:

– Compartment 1: Do not pour detergent into this compartment.

– Compartment 2: Detergent for the wash cycle (powder or liquid). Liquid detergent should only be poured in immediately prior to the start of the wash cycle.

– Compartment 3: Additives such as fabric softeners. The fabric softener should not overflow the grid.

Do not use hand washing detergents because they create too much foam.

If the machine does not switch on, check if the appliance is plugged in fully and if there is power to the socket or a blown fuse.

If the wash cycle does not start, ensure:

– The door is closed properly.

– The ON/OFF button has been pressed.

– The START/PAUSE button has been pressed.

– The water tap has been turned on.

– A delayed start has not been set.

Check the following possibilities:

– The water inlet hose is kinked.

– The water inlet hose is not connected to the water supply.

– The water pressure is too low.

– The water tap has not been turned on.

– There is no water supply to the house.

– The inlet valve filter is blocked.

– The START/PAUSE button has not been pressed.

– Check if the feet have been adjusted correctly, allowing the machine to rock.

– For new installations, ensure the transit bolts, plastic spacers, and polystyrene packaging have been removed.

– Ensure the machine is not trapped between cabinets and/or walls.

– The load might be in a slight out-of-balance condition, causing the machine to spin at a lower speed.

If leaking from the dispenser: Check if the drawer is blocked with detergent and requires cleaning. Ensure the machine is level and not tilting forwards.

If leaking from elsewhere:

– Check if the fill hose is loose at both the cabinet and tap ends.

– Check if the fill hose rubber washers need replacement.

– Ensure the drain hose is fixed in properly.
