GENERAL SAFETY

– This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

– Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

– If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

– For models that can be connected to the mains water, only new hose-sets should be used. Old hose-sets should not be reused.

– The appliance must be earthed by law.

– Do not operate the IGNIS ATER SS if it has been damaged in transit.

– Do not store flammable fluids near the appliance.

PERMITTED USE

– CAUTION: The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external switching device, such as a timer, or separate remote controlled system.

– The IGNIS ATER SS is intended for household and similar applications such as staff kitchen areas, farm houses, and use by clients in hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, and other residential environments.

– Do not load the machine above its maximum capacity (kg of dry cloth) indicated in the program chart.

– This appliance is not for professional use. Do not use the appliance outdoors.

– Do not use any solvents (e.g. turpentine, benzene), detergents containing solvents, scouring powder, glass or general purpose cleaners, or flammable fluids; do not machine wash fabrics that have been treated with solvents or flammable liquids.

Installation should be handled carefully and according to these instructions to ensure safety and proper operation.

UNPACKING AND LEVELING

1. Remove the IGNIS ATER SS from its packaging.

2. Make sure the appliance has not been damaged during transport. If it has, do not operate it.

3. Remove the 4 transport bolts (used only during transport) and the rubber washer with the corresponding spacer, located on the rear of the appliance.

4. Close off the holes using the plastic caps provided.

5. Place the IGNIS ATER SS on a flat sturdy floor, without resting it against walls, furniture or anything else. If the floor is not perfectly level, compensate for any unevenness by tightening or loosening the adjustable front feet. The angle of inclination, measured in relation to the worktop, must not exceed 2 degrees. Levelling the appliance correctly will provide it with stability, help to avoid vibrations and excessive noise and prevent it from shifting while it is operating.

CONNECTING THE WATER AND ELECTRICITY SUPPLIES

1. Connect the water inlet hose in accordance with the regulations of your local water company. The water inlet hose is located on the back of the machine. Connect the hose to a cold water tap with a 3/4 gas threaded connection. The IGNIS ATER SS can also be connected to a hot water tap, but not exceeding 60°C.

2. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or bent. It should be positioned 65 to 100 cm from the floor and connected to a drain line or placed over the edge of a sink or bath, fastening the guide supplied to the tap to prevent it from falling.

3. Before plugging the appliance into the electricity socket, make sure that: the socket is earthed and complies with all applicable laws; the socket is able to withstand the maximum power load of the appliance as indicated in the Technical data table; the power supply voltage falls within the values indicated in the Technical data table; the socket is compatible with the plug of the IGNIS ATER SS. If this is not the case, replace the socket or the plug.

The IGNIS ATER SS should not be installed outdoors, even in covered areas. It is extremely dangerous to leave the appliance exposed to rain, storms and other weather conditions. Do not use extension leads or multiple sockets.

Once the IGNIS ATER SS has been installed, and before you use it for the first time, run a wash cycle with detergent and no laundry, using the wash cycle at 90°C without a pre-wash cycle.

A. ON/OFF button: Turns the IGNIS ATER SS on and off.

B. PROGRAMS knob: Selects the desired wash program. The knob stays stationary during the cycle.

C. SPIN SPEED button: Sets the spin speed or excludes the spin cycle completely.

D. TEMPERATURE button: Sets the temperature or selects a cold wash.

E. START DELAY button: Sets a delayed start for the selected program (up to 24 hours).

F. INTENSIVE button: Selects the intensive wash option.

G. START/PAUSE button with indicator light: Starts or temporarily interrupts a wash cycle. To pause, press this button; the indicator light will flash orange. To resume, press the button again. If the door is opened during a cycle, the cycle is interrupted.

H. KEY LOCK indicator light: Indicates whether the control panel lock is active.

I. DOOR LOCKED indicator light: Indicates when the door is locked. To open the door, pause the cycle.

J. WASH CYCLE PHASE/START DELAY indicator lights: These lights indicate the progress of the wash cycle (Wash, Rinse, Spin, End). If the Start Delay function has been set, the display will show the time remaining until the program starts.

The detergent dispenser is crucial for good wash results. Open the drawer and pour detergent and fabric softener into the respective compartments:

– Compartment 1: Pre-wash detergent (powder)

– Compartment 2: Main wash detergent (powder or liquid). If using liquid detergent, it is recommended to use the removable plastic partition A (supplied) for proper dosage. If using powder detergent, place the partition into slot B.

– Compartment 3: Additives (fabric softeners, etc.). The fabric softener must not exceed the “max” level indicated on the central pin.

Use powder detergent for white cotton garments, for pre-washing, and for washing at temperatures over 60°C. Follow the instructions given on the detergent packaging. Do not use hand washing detergents as they create too much foam.

Follow these steps for everyday use of your IGNIS ATER SS:

1. LOAD LAUNDRY: Open the door and load the laundry, making sure not to exceed the maximum load quantity indicated in the program chart.

2. ADD DETERGENT: Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer and pour the detergent into the relevant compartments as described in the “DETERGENTS AND LAUNDRY” section.

3. CLOSE THE DOOR.

4. SELECT THE PROGRAM: Press the ON/OFF button. Turn the PROGRAMS knob to the left or right to select the desired program. The temperature and spin speed are pre-set for each program. These values can be adjusted.

5. CUSTOMISE THE WASH CYCLE: Use the relevant buttons to adjust the temperature, spin speed, or set options like Intensive wash or a Start Delay.

6. START THE PROGRAM: Press the START/PAUSE button. To cancel a set program, press and hold the ON/OFF button. The cycle is cancelled and the machine switches off.

7. END OF THE WASH CYCLE: This is indicated by the “END” light. Wait for the DOOR LOCKED indicator light to turn off, then you can open the door. Turn off the IGNIS ATER SS by pressing the ON/OFF button. Unload the laundry and leave the door ajar to allow the drum to dry.

Note: For programs 1 and 2, a temperature of 60°C is recommended. For program 4, it is advisable to turn garments inside out before washing.

Changing the temperature:

Press the TEMPERATURE button to set the wash temperature. The temperature can be lowered, or set to a cold wash, but it is not possible to select a temperature higher than the maximum value set for each wash cycle.

Changing the spin speed:

Press the SPIN SPEED button to set the spin speed for the selected wash cycle. The spin speed can be lowered, or the spin cycle can be excluded altogether. It is not possible to select a spin speed higher than the maximum speed set for each wash cycle.

To set a delayed start for the selected program, press the START DELAY button repeatedly until the desired delay period has been reached. The options are 3h, 6h, 9h, and 12h. When this option is enabled, the corresponding indicator light will illuminate. To remove the start delay option, press the button until the light turns off. Once the START/PAUSE button has been pressed, the delay time can only be decreased. To cancel it, press and hold the START/PAUSE button.

The ‘Intensive’ option offers a high-performance wash using a greater quantity of water in the initial phase of the cycle. This option has been designed for removing the toughest stains. Please note that this option is not compatible with programs 3 (Wool), 4 (Delicates), and 9 (Drain).

To activate the control panel lock, press and hold the INTENSIVE button for approximately 3 seconds. The KEY LOCK indicator light will illuminate to show that the control panel is locked (with the exception of the ON/OFF button). To deactivate the control panel lock, press and hold the INTENSIVE button for approximately 3 seconds.

Proper preparation ensures better washing results and protects your machine.

Divide the laundry according to:

– Type of fabric / symbol on the label (cottons, mixed fibres, synthetics, wool, hand-wash items).

– Colour (separate coloured garments from whites).

– Size (wash items of different sizes in the same load to improve washing efficiency and distribution in the drum).

– Delicates (place small items like nylon stockings and items with hooks like bras in a laundry bag).

Empty all pockets:

Objects such as coins or lighters can damage the IGNIS ATER SS and the drum.

Fasten all zips, buttons and hooks. Tie any ribbons or belts.

Understanding these symbols will help you choose the correct wash cycle for your garments.

For any cleaning and maintenance, switch off and unplug the IGNIS ATER SS. Do not use flammable fluids to clean the appliance.

Cleaning the outside of the washing machine:

Use a soft damp cloth to clean the outer parts of the IGNIS ATER SS. Do not use glass or general-purpose cleaners, scouring powder or similar to clean the control panel – these substances might damage the printing.

Checking the water supply hose:

Check the inlet hose at least once a year. If it is cracked or broken, it must be replaced. The length of time depends on the type of hose.

Cleaning the detergent dispenser drawer:

Remove the dispenser by pressing the release lever and pulling it out. Wash it under running water; this should be done regularly.

Cleaning the water filter:

The IGNIS ATER SS is fitted with a self-cleaning pump that does not require any maintenance. Small items (such as coins or buttons) may sometimes fall into the pre-chamber. Make sure the wash cycle has finished and unplug the appliance.

To access the pre-chamber:

1. Remove the covering panel on the front side of the machine by inserting a screwdriver in the centre and sides of the panel and using it as a lever.

2. Place a container to collect the water that flows out (about 1.5 L).

3. Unscrew the filter cover by turning it anti-clockwise.

4. Clean the filter and the filter chamber.

5. Screw the filter cover back on clockwise.

6. Reinstall the panel.

Your IGNIS ATER SS may sometimes fail to work. Before seeking assistance, check if the problem can be easily resolved by consulting the following list.

The following actions must be carried out in quick succession, without a pause.

1. Switch the machine ON.

2. Press and hold the “START/PAUSE” button.

3. When you hear the buzzer, release the button immediately.

4. Press the “START/PAUSE” button again briefly (for less than 1 second).

5. The display will show “d OFF” for a few seconds and the demo mode will be deactivated.
