Before you begin, please follow these preliminary steps:

• Read the installation instructions carefully and save the manual for future use.

• Be aware that the external appearance and other parts shown in the manual may differ from the actual product, but this will not interfere with normal use.

• Read the installation guide of the camera that the I-PRO WV-QCA504PK will be used with.

• Note that this product is professional equipment. Please read all instructions carefully before attempting to connect or operate it.

Please observe the following safety precautions during installation:

• Do not attempt to disassemble or modify this product. Failure to observe this may cause fire or electric shock. Consult the dealer for repair or inspections.

• Refer installation work to the dealer. Installation work requires technique and experience. Failure to observe this may cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the product.

• Turn the power off when doing wiring of this product. Failure to observe this may cause electric shock. Additionally, a short circuit or wrong wiring may cause a fire.

• Correctly perform all wiring. Short circuits in the wiring or incorrect wiring may cause fire or electrical shock.

• When using this product, also read the “Precautions” described in the operating instructions for the camera to be attached.

The I-PRO WV-QCA504PK is an audio cable that comes with a waterproofing cable bush. It is used to provide audio input and audio output for a camera.

The package contains one (1) waterproof tape as a standard accessory.

Make sure to remove the I-PRO WV-QCA504PK if it is no longer being used.

The following steps provide an example of installation on a WV-U25550-F3L camera model. The process may vary for other camera models.

Step 1: Open the Camera

Use the bit (camera accessory) to loosen the screws on the dome cover and remove the cover from the camera body.

Step 2: Remove the Existing Cable Bush (if applicable)

If the camera has a pre-installed cable bush in the port where the audio cable will go, remove it and discard it. If the camera does not have a cable bush, this step is not necessary.

Step 3: Install the Audio Cable

Take the I-PRO WV-QCA504PK audio cable. Align the triangle (“△”) mark on the camera body with the square (“■”) mark on the cable’s connector. Push the cable’s connector into the port until it is securely in place.

Step 4: Connect Cables and Apply Waterproofing

1. Connect the RJ45 Network cable to the camera.

2. Connect your audio devices to the Audio in (white) and Audio out (black) connectors of the I-PRO WV-QCA504PK. Ensure your external audio cables meet the following length requirements:

• Audio in (white): Less than 1 m (3.28 feet) for Mic, or less than 10 m (32.8 feet) for Line.

• Audio out (black): Less than 10 m (32.8 feet).

3. Use the included waterproof tape to seal the connection between your external audio cables and the connectors of the I-PRO WV-QCA504PK. Please refer to the specific instructions for applying the waterproof tape.

To ensure a watertight seal on the audio connections, follow these steps:

• Stretch the waterproof tape by about twice its original length before and during application. This activates the adhesive and ensures a tight seal.

• Begin wrapping the tape approximately 30 mm {1-3/16 inches} from the end of the connector, covering the connection point between the audio cable and the I-PRO WV-QCA504PK connector.

• Continue wrapping the tape for a length of approximately 20 mm {25/32 inches}, ensuring that each layer overlaps the previous one.

• To shorten the tape winding portion, you can wind the tape while keeping the audio cable slack.
