How do I correctly install and use the HYGGER HG133?

To set up the HYGGER HG133, follow these steps:

1. Connect the air tubing to the dual outlet of the air pump.

2. Cut the air tubing between the device and the air pump and connect the check valve in between. The end of the check valve with the flapper (which looks like a colored or horizontal bar) should be facing the air pump.

3. Connect the air tubing to the air stone.

4. Plug the device in to begin operation.

There are two specific installation methods to consider regarding the water level:

Method 1: If the air pump is placed below the level of the water surface in the tank, you MUST install the air pump with check valves. If you do not use a check valve, the water will drain back to the pump, resulting in damage to it.

Method 2: Place the air pump approximately 10 inches (25 cm) higher than the water surface in the tank to avoid water back flow.

How is the air volume adjusted on the HYGGER HG133?

If you want to adjust the air volume for the HYGGER HG133, simply turn the dial located on the top of the air pump. The output can be adjusted from 10% to 100%.

What general operational precautions should be taken with the HYGGER HG133?

Follow these safety and operational guidelines for the HYGGER HG133:

Locate the unit above water level to prevent water flowing backwards, or fit it with a non-return valve.

Place the air pump level on a flat surface and put a towel or rubber mat under the pump to further reduce sound.

Keep the air pump away from water as it is not waterproof.

Keep the air pump away from open flames to avoid accidents.

Unplug the power if the air pump is making abnormal sounds, overheating, or has no air output.

Soak the air stones for 1 to 2 hours before the first use to get perfect bubbles.

Note that reduced airflow is usually caused by a clogged air stone resulting from algae, floating debris, and mineral deposits; try to clean or replace the stone if this occurs.

Unplug the power before performing maintenance.

Ensure the operating temperature range is between 33.8 degrees Fahrenheit and 95 degrees Fahrenheit (1 degree Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius).

The maximum water depth for the attached air stone is 6.5 feet (2 meters).

How do I troubleshoot common problems with the HYGGER HG133?

Use the following table to identify and resolve common issues with the HYGGER HG133:

Fault Explanation Solutions
Noticeable Noise Placed on an uneven surface Ensure the air pump is placed on an even surface with a towel at the bottom
Reduced Airflow Water is too deep Shorten the distance between the air pump connected device and the water surface
Reduced Airflow The air stone was not soaked in the water before use Soak the air stone in the water for half an hour before first use
Not working Failed to connect the power supply Plug the cord into an outlet
Not working Damage Contact the seller

What is a drip loop and how should it be used with the HYGGER HG133?

To avoid the possibility of the pump plug getting wet, position the aquarium and its stand to one side of a wall-mounted outlet to prevent water from dripping onto the outlet or plug. A drip loop should be arranged by the user for each cord that connects the pump to the outlet. The drip loop is the part of the cord below the level of the outlet or the connector that prevents water from traveling along the cord and coming in contact with the outlet.

If the plug or outlet does get wet, DO NOT unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse to the circuit breaker that supplies power to the pump, then unplug and examine for the presence of water in the outlet. If you are not sure, consult a certified electrician.

What are the safety warnings regarding water and electricity for the HYGGER HG133?

To avoid possible electric shock, the following safety precautions must be observed for the HYGGER HG133:

Do not immerse the pump in water. If the pump falls into the water or becomes wet, do not touch it until you have unplugged it.

Carefully examine the pump after installation. It should not be plugged in if there is water on parts that are not intended to be wet.

Do not operate the pump if it has a damaged cord or plug, is malfunctioning, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. The power cord of this pump cannot be replaced; if the cord is damaged, the pump should be discarded.

Always unplug the pump from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before maintenance or placing hands in the water. Never yank the cord to pull the plug from the outlet; grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
