What is the required base unit for the Split Pin-hole Camera Lens?

The lens must be used with Honeywell Split Pin-hole Base HC35WP5B.


What are the general physical installation steps?

The physical installation involves:

1. Mounting a component, which offers two alternative orientations or mounting methods.

2. Mounting another component, likely the lens base (HC35WP5B), which also presents two alternative orientations or methods.

3. Connecting one of the specific lens models (HA35P2L28, HA35P5L37, or HA35P5F12) to the main camera body.


How do I obtain and start using the camera management software?

1. Obtain the Unified Tool. Select Download Center and download the Unified Tool.

2. After installation, the software can scan the network to find cameras.


What are some notes regarding software and IP addressing?

Chrome 91 (or later) is supported.

The camera comes with the IP address set as DHCP/APIPA by default. It is not required to switch to a static IP address. Users may choose to keep the default DHCP/APIPA assigned IP address.


How do I connect the camera to a Legacy NVR that doesn’t support HTTPS?

Please change the camera to HTTP & HTTPS mode if you connect it to legacy NVR which doesn’t support HTTPS mode.


How do I initialize a camera in factory default mode (Scenario A)?

Please follow the 1a-5a steps below:

1a. In the Camera Manager, select the device(s) in factory default mode.

2a. Proceed to initialize the selected device(s).

3a, 4a. On the Initialize screen:

– Enter an Administrator name.

– Create a New Password. Your password must have: 8 or more characters, Upper & lower case letters, At least one number, One of the symbols: -!@%#$=+*&, and No space.

– Confirm Password.

– Choose your HTTP & HTTPS setting (HTTPS only is strongly recommended).

5a. Click APPLY.


How do I configure HTTP/HTTPS settings for an already initialized camera (Scenario B)?

Note: Please make sure the selected devices are authenticated.

Please follow the 1b-5b steps below:

1b. In the Camera Manager, select the already initialized device(s).

2b. Access the HTTP & HTTPS settings for the selected device(s).

3b, 4b. On the HTTP & HTTPS configuration screen:

– Configure the HTTPs Port (default is 443).

– Select the ONVIF & Streaming Protocols (options are HTTP & HTTPS, or HTTPS only. HTTPS only is strongly recommended).

5b. Click APPLY.


What are the power requirements for this camera?

To ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, Local Certified / CSA Certified / UL Listed LPS or Class 2 power adapters are required.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) shall be provided by listed Information Technology Equipment meeting the IEEE 802.3af PoE standard.

The PoE is not intended to be connected to exposed (outside plant) networks.

Consult Honeywell for the recommended adapter.


Is there a caution regarding LED radiation?

CAUTION: Invisible LED radiation (850 nm). Avoid exposure to beam.


What are some important safeguards for using this camera?

Read and keep these instructions.

Please ensure that your installation area can safely support the weight of the camera.

Do not aim the camera toward a bright light source for extended periods to prevent damage to the imager. Avoid operating the unit under or close to unstable light sources (may cause flickering), or close to fluorescent lamps or objects reflecting light.

Do not touch the camera lens.

Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.

Do not use a strong or abrasive detergent when cleaning the camera.

Avoid operating or storing the unit in extremely humid, dusty, hot/cold environments, where the operating temperature is outside the recommended range of -22°F to 131°F (-30°C to 55°C).

Avoid operating the unit close to sources of powerful electromagnetic radiation, such as radio or TV transmitters.

The product is only to be connected to PoE network without routing to outside plant.

If powered by a power adapter, the adapter should be properly grounded. (Consult Honeywell for the recommended adapter).

Installation and dismantling should be performed only by qualified and experienced technicians.

Make sure the power is cut off before the product is being repaired or installed.

The product can be ceiling or wall mounted. When wall mounted, the Cable Gland will face down and make sure the height of the product is above 3 meters.

Please contact the authorized distributor of Honeywell for related accessories (Cable Gland, Cable, etc.) for purchase and installation.

The camera should be installed at least 10 centimeters away from the eave of a building.

If a Class I adapter or switch is used to provided power, be sure that the power cord is firmly plugged into the socket and confirm the main earth connection.


What should I do if I experience radio or television interference?

If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.


How should this product be disposed of?

Correct Disposal of this Product (applicable in the European Union and other European countries with separate collection systems).

This product should be disposed of, at the end of its useful life, as per applicable local laws, regulations, and procedures.

Components of this product require separate waste collection. Check local waste guidelines for sorting rules.
