What are the important safety instructions regarding the power cord and plug for the HONEYWELL HY-105?
To reduce the risk of shock, the HONEYWELL HY-105 has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug is intended to fit only one way in a polarized outlet. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.
Additionally, observe the following:
1. Do not operate the fan with a damaged cord or plug or if the product malfunctions, is dropped, or damaged in any manner.
2. A loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and plug may cause overheating and a distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn outlets.
3. Do not run the fan cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas and where it will not be tripped over.
4. To disconnect the fan, first turn the unit OFF, grip the plug and pull it from the wall outlet. Never pull the plug by the cord.
How do I replace the fuse in the safety plug of the HONEYWELL HY-105?
The HONEYWELL HY-105 features a fused safety plug designed to cut off electric current if an electrical fault occurs. If your fan loses power and you suspect the fuse has blown, follow these User Servicing Instructions:
1. Grasp the plug and remove it from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
2. Locate the spare fuse holder attached to the cord plug. Remove the spare fuse from the plastic spare fuse holder and set it aside.
3. Gain access to the blown fuse by sliding open the door found on the side of the plug. Slide the door outward until the blown fuse is fully visible.
4. Carefully remove the blown fuse and snap the replacement fuse into place.
5. Risk of fire: Replace the fuse only with a 2.5 Amp, 125 volt fuse (provided with the product).
6. Fully close the fuse door by sliding it back into place. Discard the blown fuse. The plug should now be ready for normal use.
Note: Do not replace the attachment plug. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the attachment plug is damaged.

4. Once the desired temperature is selected, the fan will revert back to the room temperature display.
Note: The fan speed will adjust automatically to achieve the desired temperature. The fan will stop if the room temperature drops below the setpoint and will turn on again if the room temperature climbs above the setpoint.

Yes, in the following ways:

However, if the Timer button is selected, the temperature will not be affected; the chosen temperature will remain in effect and the room temperature will continue to be displayed. The Timer will function with or without Temperature Mode. Additionally, if the oscillation button is selected, the Temperature Mode will not be affected.
