When you unbox your HONEYWELL CT32X0, ensure the shipping box contains the following items:

• CT32 mobile computer

• Rechargeable li-ion battery

• USB charging cable

• Hand strap (optional)

If you ordered accessories, verify that they are also included. It is recommended to keep the original packaging in case the device needs to be returned for service.

For maximum performance and durability with the HONEYWELL CT32X0 mobile computer, Honeywell recommends the use of Single Level Cell (SLC) industrial grade microSD™ or microSDHC™ memory cards.

A nano-SIM card or an embedded SIM (eSIM) can be used to activate phone features and connect to a mobile network on WWAN models of the HONEYWELL CT32X0. To install a nano-SIM card:

1. Ensure the device is powered off.

2. Locate the SIM card slot in the battery compartment.

3. Insert the nano-SIM card into the appropriate slot as indicated by the diagram inside the compartment.

Before installing or removing a microSD card, always power off the HONEYWELL CT32X0. It is recommended to format the microSD card before its initial use.

1. Open the battery compartment of the device.

2. Locate the microSD card slot, which is combined with the Nano SIM slot.

3. Insert the microSD card into the slot until it is fully seated.

4. Close the slot holder to secure the card.

Follow these steps to install the battery in your HONEYWELL CT32X0:

1. Slide the battery cover latch to the unlocked position.

2. Remove the battery cover.

3. Align the contacts on the battery with the contacts inside the battery compartment.

4. Press the battery down into place.

5. Replace the battery cover and slide the latch to the locked position to secure it.

To attach the optional hand strap to your HONEYWELL CT32X0:

1. Locate the two strap attachment points on the back of the device.

2. Thread the tether at one end of the strap through one of the attachment points.

3. Loop the strap back through its own buckle to secure it.

4. Repeat the process for the other end of the strap at the second attachment point.

The HONEYWELL CT32X0 ships with a partially charged battery. You should charge the battery with a CT32 charging device for a minimum of 3.5 hours before first use.

Note: Using the computer while it is charging will increase the time needed to reach a full charge. If the computer is drawing more power than the charging source provides, charging will not occur.

It is recommended to use only Honeywell accessories and power adapters. Using non-Honeywell accessories may cause damage that is not covered by the warranty. Ensure all components are dry before connecting the computer to peripheral devices.

You can use a USB cable to charge the HONEYWELL CT32X0 from a host device like a laptop or desktop computer. The host device must supply a minimum power output of 5V, 0.5A, or the battery will not charge. To achieve the maximum charging speed, the power delivered by the charger must be between a minimum of 1.6 Watts and a maximum of 14.6 Watts.

To turn the computer on:

• Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds and then release it.

To turn the computer off:

1. Press and hold the Power button until the options menu appears on the screen.

2. Touch Power Off.

The screen timeout, or sleep mode, turns the display off to save battery power. To adjust the amount of time before the display sleeps after a period of inactivity:

1. Swipe up on the touch screen.

2. Select Settings > Display > Screen Timeout.

3. Select the desired amount of time before the display goes to sleep.

To wake the computer, press and release the Power button.

The Home Screen on the HONEYWELL CT32X0 is the main starting point for using the device. Its key areas are:

• Notification / Status Bar: At the very top of the screen, displays time, battery status, connectivity icons, and notifications.

• Search Bar: Allows for quick searches.

• Home Screen Panel: The main area of the screen where app icons and widgets are located.

• Favorites Tray: A customizable dock at the bottom of the screen for your most frequently used apps.

• Navigation Buttons: Located at the very bottom, these buttons (Back, Home, Recent Apps) help you navigate the Android interface.

To scan a barcode with the Scan Demo app:

1. Swipe up on the screen to access all apps.

2. Select Demos > Scan Demo.

3. Point the computer’s imager window at the barcode. For best results, scan at a slight angle to avoid reflections.

4. Touch the Scan button on the screen or press and hold any physical Scan button.

5. Center the aiming beam over the barcode. The decode results will appear on the screen.

Note: Not all barcode symbologies are enabled by default in the Scan Demo app. If a barcode does not scan, you may need to enable its symbology in the settings.

To move files between your HONEYWELL CT32X0 and a computer, follow these steps:

1. Connect the CT32 to your computer using a USB charge/communication accessory.

2. On the CT32, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notifications panel.

3. Touch the “Android System” notification twice to open the USB options menu.

4. Select either File Transfer or PTP.

5. Open the file browser (e.g., File Explorer on Windows) on your computer.

6. Browse to the CT32 device. You can now copy, delete, and move files between your computer and the CT32, similar to any other storage drive.

Note: When Provisioning mode is turned off, some folders on the device may be hidden from view in the file browser.

If an application stops responding or the HONEYWELL CT32X0 seems to be locked up, you may need to restart it.

Standard Restart:

1. Press and hold the Power button until the options menu appears.

2. Select Restart.

Force Restart (if the touch screen is unresponsive):

• Press and hold the Power button for approximately 8 seconds until the computer restarts.
