The GRAND MEYER HW500I thermostat has two main operating modes:

Manual Mode: In this mode, you can set and maintain a constant temperature manually.

Programmable Mode: In this mode, you can use an adjustable program to maintain different temperatures automatically throughout the day and week.

The thermostat also features the following functions, represented by symbols:

• Wake-up

• Return (am)

• Return (pm)

• Heating On

• Frost protection

• Leave (am)

• Leave (pm)

• Sleep

• Key Lock

To set the clock on your GRAND MEYER HW500I, press the Menu (M) and Up (▲) buttons and hold for 5 seconds until the digit flashes. Use the Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons to set the clock. Then, set the day of the week (1 for Monday, 2 for Tuesday, etc.). Press the Menu (M) key to confirm the entry.

To switch between modes on the GRAND MEYER HW500I, press the Menu (M) key. The display will show a hand symbol for manual mode or a clock symbol for programming mode.

When the manual mode symbol (hand) is shown on the display, you can set the desired temperature using the Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons. The desired temperature and time will be shown on the left side of the display, and the actual temperature will be shown on the right side of the display.

To set up the programmable mode on your GRAND MEYER HW500I, hold down the Menu (M) key for 5 seconds. The display will show events according to the schedule. The first five days of the week have 6 events, while the weekends have two events (Wake-Up and Sleep). For each event, you can set up the operating time and desired temperature. Use the Up (▲) or Down (▼) keys to set the time and/or temperature. Use the Menu (M) key to move to the next event. The desired temperature and time are shown on the left, and the actual temperature is on the right.

The recommended temperature for underfloor heating is 25-27°C.

1) Programmable mode periods: Shows the current event number in programmable mode.

2) Clock and desired temperature: Shows the current time and the set temperature.

3) Day of the week: Numbers 1-7 representing Monday to Sunday.

4) Increase/Decrease key: Buttons to adjust settings.

5) Menu: Button to switch modes and confirm settings.

6) Manual mode: Symbol (hand) indicates manual mode is active.

7) Programmable mode: Symbol (clock) indicates programmable mode is active.

8) Frost protection: Symbol (snowflake) indicates frost protection is active.

9) Sleep: Symbol (moon) indicates a sleep period is active.

10) Actual temperature: Shows the current room temperature.

11) Key lock: Symbol (lock) indicates the keys are locked.

12) Heating on: Symbol (radiator) indicates the heating is currently active.

13) ON/OFF key: The power button.

14) Internal temperature sensor: Indicates the internal sensor is in use.

To access the advanced setting menu on your GRAND MEYER HW500I, press the Power and Menu (M) buttons at the same time. You can then use the Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons to change the values for each setting. The table below details the available settings.

To activate or deactivate the key lock function on the GRAND MEYER HW500I, press both the Up (▲) and Down (▼) buttons for 5 seconds. The lock symbol will appear on the display when the function is switched on.

Please follow these steps to install the GRAND MEYER HW500I thermostat. WARNING: Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any installation work.

1. Remove the outer frame of the thermostat using a screwdriver.

2. Use a screwdriver to free the metal plate from the back of the thermostat.

3. Use a screwdriver to fix the metal plate into the mounting box.

4. Connect the wiring. The terminals are for Load, Neutral, the Heating Element, and the NTC sensor.

5. Attach the thermostat to the metal plate by securing it with the metal clip and then re-attach the outer frame.

The GRAND MEYER HW500I thermostat must be installed on a wall with free air circulation. It should be positioned so that there is no other influence of a heat source (e.g., the sun), doors, or windows that could influence the ambient temperature reading. The recommended installation height is 1.2 meters from the floor.
