The FOREO ISSA 4 baby is designed to help babies develop healthy oral hygiene habits with the following features:

DOUBLE-SIDED BRUSH HEAD: Bristles on both sides make brushing teeth and gums easy and effective from any angle.

HAPPY FACE TIMER: Encourages your baby to brush for a full 2 minutes by rewarding them with a happy face light.

SAD FACE TIMER: Reminds you to brush your baby’s teeth twice a day by switching to a sad face light if it’s been over 12 hours since the last brush.

ANTI-SLIP GRIP: Provides ultra-comfortable handling for a smoother brushing experience.

UNIVERSAL POWER BUTTON: Powers the toothbrush on/off with one press and also puts it into Bluetooth pairing mode.

INDICATOR LIGHT: Indicates when to switch to a new quadrant of the mouth, indicates low battery, and shows when the toothbrush is in Bluetooth pairing mode.

USB CHARGING PORT: A sealed port makes the device 100% waterproof. A single charge lasts up to 265 days.

REPLACEABLE BRUSH HEAD: Easy to change by pulling off the old one and pushing on the new one.

The FOREO ISSA 4 has two modes designed for different stages of your baby’s development:

MASSAGE MODE – BEFORE 1ST TOOTH

• Gentle sonic pulsations massage the gums without applying too much pressure.

• Reduces bacteria in the mouth by clearing away food fragments and residue.

BRUSH MODE – AFTER 1ST TOOTH

• Silicone bristles cover each tooth separately from all angles for a true-tooth clean.

• Ultra-soft silicone remains gentle on gums and soft on baby tooth enamel.

• Forms good oral-care habits and familiarizes your baby with brushing.

You can choose your preferred mode in the app, and it will automatically sync to the toothbrush for all future uses.

Before using your FOREO ISSA 4 for the first time, you must unlock it by registering it via the FOREO app. Follow these steps:

1. Download the FOREO For You app on your mobile phone.

2. Log in to your existing account, or sign up for a new one.

3. Add device (on the top of your screen).

4. Choose the device series.

5. Follow the instructions on the app and fill in the purchase information.

Your toothbrush is then ready to use.

1. APPLY TOOTHPASTE

Apply a dentist-recommended amount of infant-formulated soothing gel or toothpaste to the FOREO ISSA 4 brush head. Then press the universal button to turn it on.

2. BRUSH

Encourage your child to use the toothbrush in the same way as a manual toothbrush, brushing teeth and massaging gums with circular motions for 2 minutes. Once the 2 minutes are up, the Happy Face will light up to reward your child.

3. RINSE

Press and hold the universal power button for 3 seconds to turn off the toothbrush. Then rinse the toothbrush with water, and leave it to air-dry.

After 12 hours, the Sad Face will light up to let you know it’s time to brush again.

Clean your FOREO ISSA 4 toothbrush after each use by washing the brush with warm water while running your fingers through the bristles. Allow your toothbrush to air dry. If you find any blood on the brush surface, please clean the device with soap and water.

NOTE: Placing the FOREO ISSA 4 in a UV sanitation case is possible, but may affect the color of the silicone. You can also clean it in your dishwasher by using a maximum temperature setting of 80°C with a 1-hour wash / rinse cycle and 30-minute drying cycle, or using a baby bottle sterilizer with a maximum temperature of 100°C for no more than 20 minutes. Never use cleaning products containing alcohol, petrol, or acetone.

The 100% medical-grade silicone brush heads for the FOREO ISSA 4 last for up to 1 whole year. To replace the brush head, follow these steps:

1. Make sure your FOREO ISSA 4 is turned off.

2. Lift the brush head straight up to detach it.

3. Take the new replacement head and, with the bristles facing forward, align its center hole with the metal dowel on the handle.

4. Push down to attach the new head securely.

If the indicator light on the base of your FOREO ISSA 4 toothbrush turns red, the battery is running low and needs to be recharged. Connect the USB charging cable to any outlet for 1.5 hours. When the indicator light stops blinking, your toothbrush is fully charged.

CAUTION: Before charging, make sure the charging port and USB charging cable are free of water and toothpaste residue. Do NOT use the FOREO ISSA 4 while charging, and do NOT charge for more than 24 hours. Only use the USB charging cable provided by FOREO.

For optimum safety, please adhere to the following guidelines:

• Close supervision by a responsible adult is necessary when this device is used by, on, or near children, as well as those with reduced physical and mental abilities.

• Vigorous chewing may cause damage to the silicone cover. If you notice the silicone is damaged or pierced, discontinue use. The FOREO ISSA 4 is designed for brushing, NOT as a chewing toy.

• Replacing the brush head should only be done by an adult. Extra care should be taken when this is done near children.

• Ensure the brush head is not accidentally pulled off by a child. If it is, remove the toothbrush from the child immediately and replace the head securely before allowing them to use it again.

• Children should not be allowed to play with the toothbrush.

• If your child has medical concerns or is undergoing treatment for any oral condition, consult your physician or dental professional prior to use.

• If your child experiences discomfort, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician.

• For hygiene reasons, do not share the toothbrush with anyone else.

• Discontinue use if the product appears damaged in any way (brush head, handle, charging cable).

• Do not use the device if it is overheating or malfunctioning.

• Avoid leaving the device in direct sunlight and never expose it to extreme heat or boiling water.

• This device should only be used with a SELV power adapter and IEC60950 standard power suppliers.

• Before charging, ensure the plug and socket are completely dry to avoid electric shock, short circuit, or fire.

• Do not use the device while it is charging.

• The battery must be removed by following the proper procedure before the device is disposed of.

• NO MODIFICATION OF THIS EQUIPMENT IS ALLOWED.

If your FOREO ISSA 4 is not activated when pressing the universal button, the battery is likely empty. Recharge your toothbrush using the USB charging cable for up to 1.5 hours until it is fully charged. Then, restart your toothbrush by holding down the universal power button.

If your FOREO ISSA 4 cannot be switched off or the interface buttons do not respond, the microprocessor may be temporarily malfunctioning. To resolve this, connect the USB charging cable and/or press and hold the universal power button to restart the device.

The indicator light on your FOREO ISSA 4 provides different signals:

• Flashing red: The battery is almost empty. Recharge your toothbrush for up to 1.5 hours until fully charged.

• Breathing white: The battery is still charging.

• Flashing white: The toothbrush is connecting or has connected to the app.

If the indicator light on your FOREO ISSA 4 does not blink when the USB charging cable is connected, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

• The battery is fully charged and ready for up to 265 days of brushing.

• The battery is completely drained and will require several minutes to acknowledge the USB charging cable.

• The USB charging cable is not properly connected. Check the electrical outlet, USB socket, and the charging port on the device.

You can dry off the device and continue to use it. Your FOREO ISSA 4 toothbrush is completely waterproof, and the charging port is fully sealed.

This action must only be undertaken when the device is ready to be disposed of, as the process is not reversible and will void the warranty. Because the device contains a lithium-ion battery, it must be removed before disposal.

To remove the battery, pull off the brush head, peel off the silicone outer layer from the toothbrush body, open the inner plastic shell, remove the battery, and dispose of it in accordance with your local environmental regulations. Wear gloves during this process for your safety.
