Please adhere to the following warnings when using your FENIX TK20R UE flashlight:

• The flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the flashlight directly into anyone’s eyes.

• This flashlight will accumulate a great deal of heat when used for extended periods, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell. Pay attention to safe use to avoid scalding.

• Do not shine an object at close range, to avoid burning the object or causing danger due to high temperature.

• The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable; so the entire light should be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its life.

• If any of the information provided in this manual is changed, the new version of the manual shall prevail; if your included user manual is an old one, it acquiesces that we won’t send a new one.

The FENIX TK20R UE has two switches for operation:

Tactical Tail Switch: This is the main switch for momentary-on and constant-on activation.

FlexiSensa Control Rotary Switch: This switch is for mode switching and output selection.

Tap and hold the Tactical Tail Switch to momentarily turn on the light; it will go out once you release it.

Fully press the Tactical Tail Switch to constantly turn on the light (with a click sound), and press it again to turn off the light.

To switch between the different modes on your FENIX TK20R UE, use the FlexiSensa Control rotary switch:

• Rotate the FlexiSensa Control to the left to enter Tactical mode.

• Rotate the FlexiSensa Control to the middle to enter Duty mode.

• Rotate the FlexiSensa Control to the right to enter Lockout mode.

In Duty Mode: With the light switched on, rotate the FlexiSensa Control to cycle through Low -> Med -> High -> Turbo.

In Tactical Mode: With the light switched on, the FENIX TK20R UE will activate Turbo mode. Half-press the Tactical Tail Switch to activate Strobe.

With the light switched on and in Tactical mode, half-press the Tactical Tail Switch to enter Strobe. To exit Strobe, fully press the Tactical Tail Switch to turn off the light.

Note: The above specifications are from the results produced by Fenix through its laboratory testing using the Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% – 80%. The true performance of this product may vary according to different working environments and the actual battery used.

*The Turbo output is measured in a total of runtime including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanism in the design.

Warning: Do not mix batteries of different brands, sizes, capacities or types. Doing so may cause damage to the flashlight or the batteries being used.

*21700 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only using quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes.

The FENIX TK20R UE memorizes the last selected output in Duty mode. When turned on again, the previously used output in Duty mode will be recalled.

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used in Turbo mode for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user to reselect Turbo mode.

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the FENIX TK20R UE is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

With the light switched off, rotate the FlexiSensa Control from the Lockout mode to Duty mode. The battery level indicator will be displayed for 3 seconds.

• Green light on: saturated, 100% – 85%

• Green light flashes: sufficient, 85% – 50%

• Red light on: poor, 50% – 25%

• Red light flashes: critical, 25% – 1%

Note: This only works with the Fenix ARB-L21 series battery.

To replace the battery in your FENIX TK20R UE, follow these steps:

1. Unscrew the light tail from the light body.

2. Insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head.

3. Screw the light tail back on.

Follow these steps to charge your FENIX TK20R UE:

1. First, switch off the light and reveal the USB Type-C charging port by twisting the light head counterclockwise.

2. Plug the USB-A end of the charging cable into an electrical outlet, then connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the light.

3. During charging, the charging indicator will display red. It will turn green when fully charged.

4. Once charging is complete, be sure to tighten the light head to maintain the waterproof and dustproof ability.

Note:

1. The normal charging time is approximately 3.5 hours from depletion to fully charged.

2. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain the optimum performance of the battery.

3. The Low output is available while charging.

To ensure optimal performance of your FENIX TK20R UE, please follow these maintenance tips:

• Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.

• Fenix recommends using only a high-quality protected battery.

• If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery for storage. Otherwise the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.

• Lock out the light or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport.

• Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.

• Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:

A: Poor battery level. Solution: Recharge the battery.

B: The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty. Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
