Unpacking the appliance:

The packaging materials must be undamaged. Inspect the appliance for transport damage. On no account should a damaged appliance be connected to the mains power supply. In case of damage, contact the supplier.

Removing transport protection:

The appliance and some of the interior parts are secured for transport.

✓ Remove all adhesive tape on the right and left sides of the appliance door and the polystyrene parts from the condenser at the rear of the appliance (depending on the model).

6. If the appliance door seal is not evenly applied everywhere: carefully heat the relevant areas with a hairdryer and pull out a little with your fingers.

The condensation flows through the channel into the defrosting hole and out into a condensation bowl on the rear of the appliance. The heat from the motor evaporates the condensation.
