Before you install the EUREKA FORBES AQUAGUARD AG UTC UV BOOSTER, check to ensure that all the following components are packed with your unit:

1) Water Purification System

2) Faucet and Faucet Mounting Bracket

3) Installation Kit

Follow these instructions for installing your EUREKA FORBES AQUAGUARD AG UTC UV BOOSTER:

Unit Placement:

• Install your Aquaguard® UTC in a dry, ventilated place, keeping it away from direct sunlight, heating devices, or areas below freezing temperature.

• Make sure the purifier is installed within a distance of 1.0 m from the tap water supply. Do not install the purifier at a place where water or rain could leak into the unit (outdoors, etc.).

• Ensure that a 230 V 50 Hz power supply is available nearby.

Water Connection:

• Connect it only to normal tap water. Avoid installation to a hot water tap as it can damage the filters.

• Ensure that feed water temperature is in a range of 5°C – 38°C & Ambient condition temperature is in a range of 4°C – 40°C.

• The input water pressure to your water purifier should be within the recommended range (up to 2.0 kg/cm²). If the input water pressure is more than specified, installation of a PRV (Pressure Regulating Valve) is mandatory. If the input water pressure is less than specified, installation of an external booster pump is recommended. (Accessories available at an extra cost).

Faucet Installation:

• Determine the location for the faucet. Check to see that drilling of the faucet hole will not damage pipes or wires running underneath the sink.

• The product water faucet may be installed on any flat surface, max. 1.5 inches in thickness. Check the inside of the location for interference.

• You can also use the faucet mounting bracket to mount the faucet on the wall.

Yes, please observe the following input water quality limitations for your EUREKA FORBES AQUAGUARD AG UTC UV BOOSTER. Additional accessories may be required at an extra cost.

1. If the input water iron content is more than that prescribed in the technical specifications (0.1 mg/L), use of an iron remover is recommended as a pre-treatment.

2. If the input water turbidity is more than that prescribed in the technical specifications (5 NTU) or comprises colloidal particles, use of a special filter is required as a pre-filter.

3. If the input water TDS is more than 1,000 ppm (mg/L) or input water hardness is more than 300 ppm (mg/L), use of a Membrane life enhancer is recommended (applicable only for RO variants).

4. Do not install the water purifier if the TDS is more than that prescribed in the technical specifications (Up to 200 mg/L).

a. Once the installation is completed by the authorized person from Eureka Forbes Limited, the product can be put to regular use.

b. Ensure that an uninterrupted water and power supply to the product is available.

c. Switch on the unit.

d. The Aquaguard® UTC will start the purification process. To know the product status, monitor the indications provided on the product and refer to the LED display chart.

e. To collect the purified water, turn the faucet lever to the open position.

RECOMMENDED INPUT WATER PARAMETERS

a. It is advisable to read the User Manual thoroughly, to understand the purifier’s functions before usage.

b. Installation and service has to be conducted by authorized personnel from Eureka Forbes Limited only.

c. Install the purifier at a location that is properly ventilated, dry and away from heat and humidity.

d. Connect the purifier to a 230 VAC power socket that is duly earthed.

e. Discard about 10 liters of water after the installation or after replacing the filter cartridges.

f. Do not remove or insert the plug with wet hands.

g. Ensure that the filter cartridges and spares used during service/replacement are genuine and from Eureka Forbes only.

h. Always switch off and disconnect the power plug before maintenance or cleaning.

i. In case of any damage or incorrect functioning, immediately contact an authorized service centre of Eureka Forbes Limited. Do not try to carry out repairs on your own.

j. The product is not to be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge.

k. Children should not play with the purifier.

l. Simple maintenance and hygiene will help your Aquaguard® UTC function better.

For your safety, the specially designed and electronically authenticated purification cartridges of Aquaguard® ensure our promise of ‘pure & healthy water or no water’ always. In the unlikely usage of a ‘non-genuine’ purification cartridge that could potentially deliver unsafe water, an indication light will draw your attention. For your complete protection, it even shuts down the purification process.

The purification cartridges are designed to provide safe water for a period of 1 year or 6000 litres from the date of installation, whichever is earlier. After this safe life, for your complete protection, the machine gives you an advance alert, after which it shuts down the purification process and water dispensing.

Depending on the input water quality (variations in the standard test conditions) the filter might need a replacement even before the purifier gives you an alert.

In case of no water dispensing from the faucet, refer to the user manual or the LED indication chart on the side of the product to troubleshoot the issue.

In case of no / low water or high input water temperature, the UV LED reactor function will cut-off as a safety measure and a solid red LED indication will be seen on the unit. The unit will be functional once the normal water flow resumes or input water temperature declines.
