Use the backboard pads (#44) and (#45) as a template and mark the hole locations on the backboard frame. Drill 9/64 inch pilot holes into the steel backboard frame, ensuring not to drill through both sides of the tube. Secure the backboard pads using the provided screws. Tighten the screws tight, but do not overtighten.
