Digital level function: Press the DIST button (2). Press the Left/- button (3) or the Right/+ button (9) to scroll to the Digital level mode. The inclination angle value will be displayed on the screen.

2. Place the device flat against the target surface, ensuring no metal objects are nearby.

3. Press the MEAS button (7) to start automatic calibration. Calibration is complete when the white part of the display becomes dark.

1. After calibration, place the device flat on the surface to be tested. A red line on the screen indicates it’s ready to scan.

3. When a metal object is detected, the screen will display the appropriate icon (non-ferrous or ferrous metal), the distance to the target, and signal strength. The device will beep; the signal gets stronger as you get closer to the object.

4. When the signal is strongest, the center mark (18) lights up. Move the device to pinpoint the object’s location based on signal intensity.


What should I do if I get erratic scanning results with the ERMENRICH PING SM90?

Erratic scanning results may be caused by humidity, moisture within the wall cavity or drywall, or recently applied paint or wallpaper that is not fully dried.
