What important safety precautions should be followed before installing or servicing the TA2 Thermal Actuator?
CAUTION!
Do not use the actuator if its cable is defective.
Always disconnect the power supply from any defective appliances.
Disconnect the power supply before making any changes to the actuator, especially when changing between Normally Closed (NC) and Normally Open (NO) modes, as live components will be exposed.
What is the factory default operational setting for the TA2 actuator?
What guidelines apply to electricians installing the TA2 actuator?
What is the acceptable operating temperature range for the TA2 actuator?
What are the IP (Ingress Protection) ratings for the TA2 actuator based on mounting orientation?
The IP rating depends on the mounting orientation:
IP44 (according to EN60529) when mounted upright or horizontally.
IP42 (according to EN60529) when mounted upside down (rotated 90° or more downwards).
How is the TA2 actuator installed onto a valve body?
1. Align the actuator with the valve body connection.
2. Press the actuator down firmly onto the valve body until it clicks into place.
How should the TA230 (230Vac) model be wired?
How should the TA24 (24Vac) model be wired?
What are the technical specifications for the TA230 and TA24 models?
| Specification | TA230 | TA24 |
|---|---|---|
| Voltage | 230 V~ | 24 V~ |
| Running time | 3,5 min. | 4,5 min. |
| Stroke | 3,5 mm | 3,5 mm |
| Spring pressure | 125 N | 125 N |
| Power consumption | 2,5 W | 3 W |
| Inrush Current | <550 mA (max. 100ms) | <1400 mA (max. 2mins) |
| Operating Current | <150 mA | <300 mA |
How can the TA2 actuator be configured for Normally Open (NO) operation?
WARNING: Disconnect power before proceeding as live components are exposed.
1. Press the release button (1) and remove the cover (2).
2. Remove the black internal component as shown.
3. Use appropriate tool (like pliers) to grip the designated part.
4. Rotate the internal component 60 degrees (1) as indicated, ensuring a 2mm gap is present (2, 3). A 230V warning indicates potential hazard.
5. Check the internal configuration.
6. Align the white indicator component (1) and reattach the cover (2). Do not use pliers for reattaching the cover.
How can the TA2 actuator be reset to its default Normally Closed (NC) operation?
WARNING: Disconnect power before proceeding as live components are exposed.
1. Press the release button (1) and remove the cover (2).
2. A 230V warning indicates potential hazard. Grip the designated part (1) and rotate the internal component 60 degrees (2, 3) back to its original position.
3. Remove the spacer component (if present from NO configuration).
4. Ensure correct alignment of internal components (1) and reattach the cover (2, 3).
