To ensure safe operation of your EMPAVA EMPV-24WOC02, please follow these safety instructions:

1) Proper Installation: Ensure your appliance is properly installed and grounded by a qualified technician.

8) Potholders: Use only dry potholders. Moist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may result in burns from steam. Do not let potholders touch hot heating elements. Do not use a towel or other bulky cloth.

9) Opening the Door: Use care when opening the door. Let hot air or steam escape before removing or replacing food.

10) Unopened Food Containers: Do not heat unopened food containers. A build-up of pressure may cause the container to burst and result in injury.

11) Oven Vents: Keep oven vent ducts unobstructed.

12) Placement of Oven Racks: Always place oven racks in the desired location while the oven is cool. If a rack must be moved while the oven is hot, do not let the potholder contact a hot heating element in the oven.

13) Hot Surfaces: DO NOT TOUCH HEATING ELEMENTS OR INTERIOR SURFACES OF THE OVEN. Heating elements may be hot even though they are dark in color. Interior surfaces become hot enough to cause burns. During and after use, do not touch, or let clothing or other flammable materials contact heating elements or interior surfaces until they have had sufficient time to cool. Other surfaces such as oven vent openings, surfaces near these openings, oven doors, and windows of oven doors may also become hot.

The EMPAVA EMPV-24WOC02 must be installed by a qualified person in compliance with the provided instructions.

1. Ensure there is a grounded socket nearby (behind the unit).

2. A dedicated power circuit is recommended but not required. If the circuit breaker trips or the fuse fails repeatedly after installation, a dedicated circuit will likely be required.

3. The power supply to the appliance must be cut off before any adjustments or maintenance work is done.

4. The unit’s power cord must be connected to a properly grounded and protected 240V electrical outlet. Always use ground fault protection where required by the electrical code.

5. To reduce the risk of fire, avoid running the power cord under rugs, carpets, etc. Keep the power cord away from high traffic areas where it may pose a tripping hazard.

6. Avoid the use of an extension cord, which may overheat and cause a fire.

Please be aware of the following warnings:

1. The appliance becomes hot during operation. Take care not to touch the hot parts inside the oven.

2. Always keep children away from the oven. While in operation, direct contact with the oven may cause burns.

3. Ensure that small items of household equipment, including connection leads, do not touch the hot oven or cooktop as the insulation material is usually not resistant to high temperatures.

4. Do not leave the oven unattended when frying. Oils and fats may catch fire due to overheating or boiling over.

5. Do not put pans weighing over 15 kg on the opened door of the oven and pans over 55lb/25kg on the cooktop.

6. Do not use harsh cleaning agents or sharp metal objects to clean the door as they can scratch the surface, which could then result in the glass cracking.

7. Do not use the oven in the event of a technical fault. Any faults must be fixed by an appropriately qualified and authorized person.

8. Never add cold water to food on a hot universal tray or baking tray or directly onto food in a hot oven. The steam created could cause serious burns or scalding and the sudden change in temperature can damage the enamel.

Using energy in a responsible way not only saves money but also helps the environment. Here’s how you can save energy:

1. Do not uncover the pan too often (a watched pot never boils!).

2. Do not open the oven door unnecessarily often.

3. Switch off the oven in good time and make use of residual heat. For long cooking times, switch off heating zones 5 to 10 minutes before finishing cooking; this saves up to 20% on energy.

4. Only use the oven when cooking larger dishes. Meat of up to 2.2lb/1kg can be prepared more economically in a pan on the cooktop.

5. Make use of residual heat from the oven. If the cooking time is greater than 40 minutes, switch off the oven 10 minutes before the end time.

6. When using the timer, please set appropriately shorter cooking times according to the dish being prepared.

7. Make sure the oven door is properly closed. Heat can leak through spillages on the door seals. Clean up any spillages immediately.

8. Do not install the oven in the direct vicinity of refrigerators/freezers. Otherwise, energy consumption increases unnecessarily.

During transportation, protective packaging was used to protect the appliance against any damage. After unpacking, please dispose of all elements of packaging in a way that will not cause damage to the environment. All materials used for packaging the appliance are environmentally friendly; they are 100% recyclable and are marked with the appropriate symbol. Caution! During unpacking, the package pieces, etc. should be kept away from children.

Electrical and electronic devices may not be disposed of with domestic waste. Consumers are obliged by law to return electrical and electronic devices at the end of their service lives to the public collecting points set up for this purpose or point of sale. Details to this are defined by the national law of the respective country. This symbol on the product, the instruction manual or the package indicates that a product is subject to these regulations. By recycling, reusing the materials or other forms of utilizing old devices, you are making an important contribution to protecting our environment.

Important: Save these instructions for the local electrical inspector’s use.

1. The kitchen area should be dry, aired, and equipped with efficient ventilation.

2. When installing the oven, easy access to all control elements should be ensured.

3. This is a built-in oven. Its back wall and one side wall can be placed next to a high piece of furniture or a wall. Coating or veneer used on fitted furniture must be applied with a heat-resistant adhesive (215°F) to prevent surface deformation or detachment.

4. Make an opening with the dimensions given in the installation diagram for the oven to be fitted.

5. Make sure the mains plug is disconnected and then connect the oven to the mains supply.

6. Insert the oven completely into the opening without allowing the four screws in the places shown in the diagram to fall out.

WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect power before servicing. Use 8 gauge solid copper wire. Electrically ground oven. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.

1. Disconnect power.

2. Feed the flexible conduit from the through the opening in the cabinet.

3. Remove junction box cover, if it is present.

4. Install a UL listed or CSA approved conduit connector to the junction box.

5. Route the flexible conduit from the oven to the junction box through a UL listed or CSA approved conduit connector.

6. Tighten screens on conduit connection.

7. See “Electrical Connection Options” to complete installation for your type of electrical connection.

WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock, the neutral conductor is not required for the operation of the appliance, no grounding link provided within oven. The oven is only for use where grounding is provided.

All electrical work should be carried out by a suitably qualified and authorized electrician. For a 240V connection, follow these steps:

1. In the event of any connection, the safety wire must be connected to the ground terminal.

2. Green Wire connects to the ground terminal.

3. Red Wire connects to L1.

4. Black Wire connects to L2.

Bellows wiring method:

Step 1: Remove the wiring strip.

Step 2: Connect the ground wire, red wire L1 and black wire L2 of the bellows to the ground wire, red wire L1 and black wire L2 of the wiring seat respectively. The bellows is stretched out from the outlet of the bellows and pressed on the upper cover by the wire clamp.

Rack Installation:

Step 1: Insert the bracket into the mounting hole of the inner tank.

Step 2: Insert the bracket into the slot.

Telescopic Runner Installation:

Step 1: Put the four hooks into the side rack.

Step 2: Put the two locks into the side rack.

Before the first use, follow these steps:

1. Remove all packaging and clean the interior of the oven.

2. Take out and wash the oven fittings with warm water and a little washing-up liquid.

3. Switch on the ventilation in the room or open a window.

4. Heat the oven to a temperature of 465°F for approximately 30 minutes. This will remove any stains. After this, wash the oven carefully.

Important! The inside of the oven should only be washed with warm water and a small amount of washing-up liquid.

Turn on:

In shutdown status, touch the Power key for more than 3 seconds to enter functions setting status. Touch the Power key one time to enter standby status.

In standby status, touch the Power key one time to enter functions setting status.

Stop a function:

In working status, touch the Power key one time to immediately stop the corresponding function and enter standby status.

Turn off:

In standby status, touch the Power key for more than 3 seconds to enter shutdown status.

When the product is first connected to electricity, if the clock is not set, it will not show time and will only show (0:00).

Follow these steps to set the clock:

1. Touch the Clock key one time. The hour setting will flicker.

2. Touch the up or down arrow keys to set the hours (0-11 for 12-hour system / 0-23 for 24-hour system). The default is “00”.

3. Touch the Clock key once again. The minute setting will flicker.

4. Touch the up or down arrow keys to set the minutes (0-59). The default is “00”.

5. Press and hold the Clock key for more than 4 seconds to switch between the 12-hour and 24-hour system. The default is the 12-hour system.

6. Touch the OK key to finish the clock setting.

Using “Roast” as an example (other functions are set the same way):

1. In standby condition, touch the “Roast” icon continuously. The display will show the function, with “XX” flickering, while other icons are bright.

2. After function selection, you can set the temperature and working time:

a. Touch the Temperature key. The temperature setting will flicker. Touch the up or down arrow keys to increase or decrease the temperature by 10°F/5°C. The temperature can be set between 104°F and 482°F.

b. Touch the Clock key once. The hour will flicker. Touch the up or down keys to set the time between 0 and 8 hours.

c. Touch the Clock key again (or twice continuously). The minute will flicker. Touch the up or down keys to set minutes between 0 and 59.

d. Touch the OK key to start the cooking process with the selected settings. Alternatively, after selecting a function, touch the OK key to work with the system’s defaulted or current condition.

Degrees Fahrenheit to Degrees Celsius:

Under the function of temperature display setting, press the Temperature key for more than 4 seconds to switch between degrees Fahrenheit and degrees Celsius. The default unit is Fahrenheit every time you power on. The corresponding temperature value is automatically converted by the controller.

Set up child lock:

1. Lock: Touch the Lock key for more than 4 seconds. The lock icon shows in the LED, indicating it is locked. There is no function to touch any other keys.

2. Unlock: Touch the Lock key for more than 4 seconds again. The lock icon disappears, and the oven is unlocked. You may need to touch for more than 4 seconds to turn off all functions.

Delay function:

1. Touch the Delay key once. The hour will flicker. Touch the up or down keys to set the time.

2. Touch the Delay key again. The minute will flicker. Touch the up or down keys to set the minute.

3. Touch the OK key to finish the delay setup.

Caution: Before each cleaning and maintenance, cut off the power supply! Do not start cleaning until the oven has completely cooled.

General Cleaning:

1. Use appropriate light cleaning or washing products, such as liquids or emulsions for fat removal. If these are not available, use a solution of warm water with a little washing-up liquid or cleaning products for stainless steel sinks.

2. The oven should be cleaned after every use. When cleaning, the lighting should be switched on to see the surfaces better.

3. The oven chamber should only be washed with warm water and a small amount of washing-up liquid.

4. After cleaning the oven chamber, wipe it dry.

5. Do not use cleaning products containing abrasive materials for the cleaning and maintenance of the glass front panel.

Steam Cleaning:

1. Pour 250ml of water (1 glass) into a bowl placed in the oven on the first level from the bottom.

2. Close the oven door.

3. Set the temperature to 125°F and the function to the Keep Warm position.

4. Heat the oven chamber for approximately 30 minutes.

5. Open the oven door, wipe the chamber inside with a cloth or sponge and wash using warm water with washing-up liquid.

6. After cleaning, wipe the oven chamber dry. Possible moisture or water residues under the oven can result from steam cleaning.

To avoid the possibility of an electric shock, ensure that the appliance is switched off before replacing the bulb.

1. Turn off the oven and disconnect the mains plug.

2. Unscrew and wash the lamp cover and then wipe it dry.

3. Unscrew the light bulb from the socket and replace it with a new one. The replacement bulb must be a high-temperature bulb (575°F) with the following parameters:

– voltage 240 V~

– power 15 W

– thread E14

4. Screw the new bulb in, making sure it is properly inserted into the ceramic socket.

5. Screw in the lamp cover.

Method 1: (Handling with pointed tool)

1. Insert the pointed tool into the disassembly groove.

2. Drive up the pointed tool bilaterally to loosen the inside glass.

3. Sideling extract the inside glass.

Method 2: (Handling with cross screwdriver)

1. Disassemble two screws on the beam with a cross screwdriver.

2. Move out the beam.

3. Move up the inside glass along with the direction of the arrow.

4. Sideling extract the inside glass.

Method 3: (Manual operation)

1. Insert your index finger into the disassembly groove and pry up the inside glass.

2. Sideling extract the inside glass.

Disassembly and assembly method of middle glass:

1. Loosen the screws on the bilateral holders.

2. Sideling extract the middle glass to finish disassembly.

3. To reassemble, put the middle glass on the corresponding holders accurately, and tighten the screws.

Assembly method of inside glass:

1. Insert the inside glass into the fixed holder and push it to the fixed position.

2. Press the glass into the snap hook.

In the event of an emergency, you should:

1. Switch off all working units of the oven.

2. Disconnect the mains plug.

3. Call the service center.

Some minor faults can be fixed by referring to the instructions given in the troubleshooting table. Before calling the customer support center or the service center, check the points that are presented in the table.
