How do I install the DIMOST GP-1000A?
To install the DIMOST GP-1000A, follow these steps:
1. Place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
2. Connect the required air supply, water supply, drain, and electrical connections.
3. After connecting all supplies, the system is ready for operation by activating the main power switches on both the polisher and the head for automatic operation.
To operate the head lift mechanism:
1. After connecting air, switch the locked lever to the “a” position. The head will lift up.
2. You can then swing the head to the left or right side.
3. Move the lever slightly away from the “a” position, and the head will fall down.
4. To lock the head, continue to push the lever to the “b” position by force.
How do I set the correct head height on the DIMOST GP-1000A?
To achieve better effects, the height from the sample holder to the working wheel should be around 2mm. If the distance is incorrect, follow these steps to adjust it:
1. Lift up the head.
2. Release the M5 screw on the Height Adjust Ring.
3. Move the ring up or down to get the proper height.
4. Tighten the M5 screw once the correct height is set.
What are the backside connections for the DIMOST GP-1000A?
The backside of the DIMOST GP-1000A has the following connections:
• Polishing Head: Air inlet, Dispenser connection.
• Base Unit: Water supply, Drain Hose connection, Power supply.
• External air supply: It is recommended that the air supply be clean, filtered, and lubricated to extend the life and performance of the systems.
• Electrical connection: Connect the electrical power cable and communications cable.
How do I operate the Head Control Panel on the DIMOST GP-1000A?
The Head Control Panel of the DIMOST GP-1000A has the following controls:
• Pressure Gauge: Displays the air pressure.
• Head Speed Indicator: Displays the motor speed (0-200 rpm).
• Pressure Regulating Knob: Controls the pressure applied to the pistons.
• Start / stop buttons: Starts or stops the head when in manual mode.
• Auto/ manual button: Switches between modes. Manual mode operates the head independently of the polisher. Auto mode operates the head in conjunction with the polisher.
• Pistons control (UP/DOWN arrows): Controls the pistons when in manual mode.
• Head speed control (UP/DOWN arrows): Increases or decreases the head speed.
What are the functions of the Base Polisher Control Panel buttons on the DIMOST GP-1000A?
The Base Polisher Control Panel on the DIMOST GP-1000A includes the following buttons and their functions:
• PRG: Function key. Press to display the function setting menu.
• Up Arrow: Displays the menu forward in turn, or increases a number value.
• Down Arrow: Displays the menu in reverse order, or decreases a number value.
• Left Arrow: When setting a value, this switches the number of digits.
• ENTER: Enter button. When the function setting menu is displayed, press to show the corresponding parameter value. Press again after modifying to save the set value.
• Water Button: Controls the water on and off.
• AUTO: Sets the operation mode of the working panel to auto mode, allowing for 8 sections of variable speed and running time to be set.
• SPL: The operating speed of the working disk is the preset value of parameter SL.
• SPM: The operating speed of the working disk is the preset value of parameter SN.
• SPH: The operating speed of the working disk is the preset value of parameter sh.
• Counter-clockwise Button: Sets the operating direction of the working wheel to counter-clockwise.
• Clockwise Button: Sets the working wheel running direction to clockwise.
• Speed Up Triangle: Increases speed.
• Speed Down Triangle: Decreases speed.

What do the function menu parameters on the DIMOST GP-1000A mean?
The function menu on the DIMOST GP-1000A allows for detailed programming of the grinding and polishing process. The parameters are as follows:
| Menu name | Description | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| SP1 – SP8 | Speed 1 to Speed 8. Unit: RPM | These are called “8-stage speed”. When a corresponding time (t1-t8) is set to 0, the speed segment will be skipped. To set the speed, use the up and down arrows. Set the running direction by pressing the clockwise or counter-clockwise buttons. |
| t1 – t8 | Running time for speeds 1 to 8. Unit: Second | |
| Cn | Set the operation times of 8-stage speed. The operation from SP1 to SP8 is one time. | When this parameter is set to 0, it will run until the stop key is pressed. |
| SL | Speed SPL. Low speed section. | These are referred to as 3-stage speed. When the operating mode is 3-stage speed, the speed in operation can be changed (increased or decreased) by pressing the speed up/down arrows. |
| Sn | Speed SPM. Medium speed section. | |
| SH | Speed SPH. High speed section. | |
| Sr | Set the transmission ratio between the motor and the working disk. | This parameter cannot be modified at will, otherwise the speed display will be inaccurate. A password is required to modify this parameter. |
| dF | Restore all parameters to factory default values. | |
| U | Set the input voltage (110 / 220 V). | This parameter cannot be modified at will, otherwise the circuit board will be damaged. A password is required to modify this parameter. |
| St | Set the protection temperature of the frequency converter. When it exceeds this temperature, it will stop automatically. | |
| Ct | Displays the current temperature of the inverter. | |
| nS | The number of poles of the motor. | A password is required to modify this parameter. |
| CD1 | Set the start / stop control mode. | 0: through the panel. 1: It is controlled by inputting an external signal. A password is required to modify this parameter. |
| CD2 | Set the display content of the LED tube. | 10: Display speed. 1: Display frequency. It is currently set to display only the speed. |
How do I troubleshoot common issues with the DIMOST GP-1000A?
