The control panel on your CREDA CRWM814DG has several functions:

A. Wash Cycle Selector: Turn the knob to select the desired wash cycle. To switch off the appliance, turn the knob until the linear mark points to the power symbol.

B. Temperature Button: Press this button to change the water temperature for the selected cycle. The chosen temperature will be illuminated on the display.

C. Speed Button: Press this button to change the spin speed for the selected cycle. The chosen speed will be illuminated on the display.

D. Steam Button: Press to set the steam wash cycle.

E. Rinse Button: Press to change the number of rinses for the current cycle.

F. Delay End Button: Press this button to set the time you want the wash cycle to finish.

G. One Touch Button: Press to activate the one touch program.

H. Start/Pause Button: Long press this button to start or pause the wash cycle. If you wish to resume a paused cycle, long press the button again.

The symbols on the display provide information about the wash cycle:

1. TEMPERATURE: When a program is selected, the default temperature for that program is shown. You can change it by pressing the temperature button. If all temperature values are off, the machine is using cold water.

2. SPINNING SPEED: When a program is selected, the default spin speed is shown. You can change it by pressing the speed button. If all spin speed values are off, it means the appliance will only perform a final drain process.

3. DOOR LOCK: This lit symbol indicates the door is locked. Wait for the symbol to turn off before trying to open the door.

4. CHILD LOCK: This lit symbol indicates the child lock function is activated, and the control panel is locked (except for the OFF position).

5. DELAY END: This lit symbol indicates the delay end function is activated. The countdown to the end of the selected cycle will appear on the display.

6. ONE TOUCH: This lit symbol indicates the one touch wash program is selected.

7. RINSE COUNT: When this symbol is lit, you can select the rinse count, which will appear on the digital display.

8. DIGITAL DISPLAY: This area shows information such as the wash cycle remaining time, delay end time, rinse count, or a fault code.

Your CREDA CRWM814DG has several special cycles and functions:

VARIOUS ONE TOUCH CYCLES: This cycle intelligently detects the laundry weight and matches the washing time and temperature. “Auto” is displayed during the detection stage. You can activate it in three ways:

1. When the washer is off, press and hold the one-touch button for at least 3 seconds.

2. When the washer is on, press and hold the one-touch button for at least 3 seconds.

3. When the washer is on, short press the one-touch button, then press the start/pause button.

BABY CARE: A cycle designed for children’s garments that effectively removes dirt and residual detergent.

DOWN JACKET: For washing single down items (not exceeding 2.0kg). Place items in the drum with edges folded inwards, not filling more than 3/4 of the drum volume. Use liquid detergent in the dispenser drawer.

WOOL: A cycle for machine-washable wool fabrics. Confirm the garment has a “machine washable” label. The water temperature should not exceed 40°C. Use special detergent for wool and do not exceed 1.0 kg of laundry.

STEAM: A cycle for cotton clothes that are not easy to fade. Steam can reduce wrinkles, reach an ideal humidity level for easier ironing, and remove peculiar smells.

DELAY END:

1. Select your desired washing program.

2. Before pressing start, press the Delay End button repeatedly to set the program’s end time in one-hour increments (up to 24 hours). For example, setting it to 8h means the cycle will finish in approximately 8 hours.

3. The cycle duration is included in the set Delay End time.

CHILD LOCK:

1. During operation, press and hold the SPEED button for 3 seconds to set or cancel the Child Lock function.

2. When set, the indicator light illuminates, the door and control panel are locked, and buttons will not respond. You can still turn the machine off using the selector knob.

CANCELLING/ACTIVATING THE BUZZER:

Press and hold the SPEED button and the ONE TOUCH button together for at least 3 seconds to turn off the buzzer that sounds during the cycle. Repeat the process to reactivate it.

ADDING CLOTHES DURING AN ACTIVE CYCLE:

1. Long press the START/PAUSE button to pause the machine.

2. If the water level and temperature are not too high, the door lock indicator light will turn off, allowing you to open the door and add clothes.

3. Close the door and long press the START/PAUSE button again to resume the cycle.

1. UNPACKING:

Remove the washer from its packaging. To remove the bottom cushion, carefully lay the washer on its side, protecting the side from damage. Never lay it on its back or front.

2. REMOVING TRANSPORT BOLTS:

Before first use, you must remove all 4 transport bolts from the back of the machine. Unscrew the bolts (A) with the supplied wrench. Remove the spacers (B). Insert the four cover caps (C) into the openings.

3. LOCATION:

Install the appliance on a level, stable surface. Do not install in damp areas, in direct sunlight, or where temperatures may reach 0°C. Ensure there is sufficient space for ventilation: 3cm or more above, 5cm or more behind, 2cm or more on each side, and 64cm or more in front.

4. LEVELLING THE APPLIANCE:

If the floor is uneven, adjust the washer feet. Have someone lift the washer slightly to take pressure off a foot, then turn the foot to adjust its height. Use a spirit level to ensure the machine is level side-to-side and front-to-rear. Press down on each corner to check for wobbling. Once level, tighten the locknuts against the bottom of the washer to secure the feet.

5. CONNECTING THE WATER INLET HOSE:

Connect one end of the new inlet hose to a cold water tap and tighten by hand. Run water through the tap first to ensure it’s clear. Connect the other end of the hose to the inlet valve on the rear of the appliance and tighten by hand. Turn the tap on slowly and check for leaks.

6. CONNECTING THE DRAIN HOSE:

The drainage point must be between 60cm (min) and 100cm (max) from the floor. You have several options:

Standpipe: Attach the drain hose to the elbow and insert this section into the drain pipe. Secure it with a tie to prevent it from coming out.

Sink Siphon: Secure the drain hose to the sink siphon spigot using a hose clip (not supplied). Ensure any blanks on the spigot are removed first.

Wash Basin: Attach the drain hose securely to the wash basin. Ensure the end of the hose is not submerged and the sink drain is not blocked.

Before your first load of laundry, run a Drum Clean cycle with no laundry inside to clean the system. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of detergent to chamber I for this cycle.

When preparing laundry:

1. CHECK LAUNDRY: Remove any loose items like coins, paper-clips, needles, and nails from pockets and cuffs. Close zips and button up items.

2. USE A NET BAG: Wash smaller, delicate items like tights, socks, and lace in a net bag or pillowcase to prevent damage.

3. SORT LAUNDRY: Sort laundry according to color, degree of soiling, and recommended wash temperature.

• Light Soiling: No visible soiling or stains, but may have absorbed some odor.

• Normal Soiling: Visible soiling and/or a few light stains (e.g., T-shirts, blouses worn several times).

• Heavy Soiling: Visible soiling and stains (e.g., kitchen towels, baby bibs, work clothes).

Use this table to select the best function for your laundry. (L = Liquid Detergent, P = Powder Detergent, O = Optional, — = No)

1. LOAD LAUNDRY: Open the door and load articles one at a time loosely into the drum, without overfilling. Refer to the “Table of wash cycle” for load sizes.

2. CLOSE DOOR: Ensure no laundry is caught between the door glass and rubber seal. Close the door until it clicks shut.

3. OPEN WATER TAP: Make sure the washing machine is connected to the water mains and open the tap.

4. SET THE PROGRAM: Select the required program with the wash cycle selector knob. The display will show the cycle duration and default temperature and spin speed.

4a. CHANGE TEMPERATURE (Optional): Press the temp button to adjust the temperature setting.

4b. CHANGE SPIN SPEED (Optional): Press the speed button to adjust the spin speed.

4c. SELECT OPTIONS (Optional): Press the relevant buttons to select options like Steam or Extra Rinse.

5. ADD DETERGENT: Pull out the detergent dispenser and add detergent and softener into the correct compartments:

• Compartment 1: Powder Detergent

• Compartment 2: Liquid Detergent

• Compartment 3: Additives (Softener)

Do not exceed the MAX fill line.

6. DELAY THE END OF A PROGRAM (Optional): Use the Delay End button to set a later finish time.

7. START PROGRAM: Press the START/PAUSE button. The door will lock, and the cycle will begin.

CHANGING SETTINGS: You can change settings like temperature or spin speed while a program is running, as long as the respective program phase has not finished.

1. Press the START/PAUSE button to pause the program.

2. Change your settings.

3. Press the START/PAUSE button again to continue.

PAUSING AND OPENING THE DOOR:

1. Press the START/PAUSE button to pause.

2. If the water level and temperature are not too high, the DOOR LOCK indicator will turn off, and you can open the door to add or remove laundry.

3. Press START/PAUSE again to proceed.

CANCELLING A RUNNING PROGRAM:

Turn the wash cycle selector knob to the OFF position to stop the machine. If there is water in the drum, the door will remain locked. To unlock it, switch the washer on, select the Spin program, and turn the spin option off by pressing the SPEED button. Press START/PAUSE to empty the water. The door will unlock at the end of this process.

SWITCHING OFF AFTER A CYCLE:

At the end of the cycle, “End” is shown on the display. The door can be opened when the DOOR LOCK indicator turns off. Turn the wash cycle selector knob to OFF to switch the washer off. Leave the door slightly ajar to let the interior dry.

If your CREDA CRWM814DG does not switch on, please check the following:

• The appliance is not plugged into the socket fully, or not enough to make contact.

• There is no power to the socket, or the fuse has blown in the mains plug.

If the wash cycle does not start, check these possible causes:

• The door is not closed properly.

• The on/off button has not been pressed.

• The start/pause button has not been pressed.

• The water tap has not been turned on to allow water to flow into the washer.

• A delayed start has been set.

If the machine does not fill with water or the display shows “E02”, please check the following:

• The water inlet hose is kinked.

• The water inlet hose is not connected to the water supply.

• The water pressure is too low.

• The water tap has not been turned on to allow water to flow into the machine.

• There is no water supply to the house.

• The inlet valve filter is blocked.

• The start/pause button has not been pressed.

If your CREDA CRWM814DG continuously fills with water and drains away, or water is left in the drum, check these points:

• The top of the drain hose is too low. It must be fitted at a height between 65 and 100 cm from the floor.

• The drain hose is connected incorrectly to the sink trap, allowing water to run into the machine. The drain hose must be positioned higher than the bottom of the sink to prevent water flowing down the drain hose.

• The end of the drain hose has been pushed too far down the standpipe; the “u” bracket should be fitted 100mm from the end of the drain hose.

If the machine fails to drain or spin, or displays “E03”, investigate the following:

• The pump filter is blocked.

• The drain hose is kinked.

• For new installations, the blanking cap or spigot has not been removed if connected under a sink.

• The drain hose or sink trap is blocked.

Also, if the machine is not spinning, check that the spin cycle has not been turned off (all spinning speed value indicator lights will be out on the display).

Excessive vibration during the spin cycle can be caused by several issues:

• The feet have not been adjusted, enabling the machine to rock.

• For a new installation, either the transit bolts (including the plastic spacer) or the polystyrene packaging have not been removed.

• The washer is trapped between cabinets and/or walls.

• The load is slightly out of balance, causing the washer to spin at a lower speed.

If the machine is not spinning properly, it may be due to the out-of-balance detection system. If the machine detects an unbalanced load, it will attempt to redistribute the laundry before trying to spin again. This can increase the program time. This is a safety feature to prevent damage. An out-of-balance condition can be caused by washing a single heavy item. Try to wash large and small clothes together to help them balance.

NOTE: Be sure to check and eliminate the fault cause before pressing the start/pause button again. If the fault code is removed, the washer will continue to run.

CLEANING THE EXTERIOR:

Use hot soapy water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent. Rub dry with a soft towel. Do not use high-pressure spray or flammable solvents.

CLEANING THE DRUM:

To remove rust spots caused by metallic debris, use a chlorine-free cleaning agent according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Never use steel wool.

CHECKING THE WATER INLET HOSE:

Check the hose at least once a year for cracks. If any are found, replace it immediately. Never use a second-hand water inlet hose.

CLEANING THE DETERGENT DISPENSER:

1. Open the tray fully. Press down on the drawer catch (1) and pull the tray (2) out.

2. Remove the liquid detergent cover (3) by pulling it upwards.

3. Clean the cover and tray under running water.

4. Re-attach the cover and slide the tray back in securely.

CLEANING THE MESH FILTER:

1. Close the water tap and unscrew the water inlet hose from the tap.

2. Clean the mesh filter at the hose’s end with a fine brush.

3. Unscrew the inlet hose from the back of the washer. Pull out the mesh filter from the valve with pliers and clean it.

4. Reinsert the filter and reconnect the hoses. Open the tap and check for leaks.

It may be necessary to clean the drain pump if the appliance fails to drain due to blockage from loose debris or fluff.

1. If the washer has not drained, run a Spin cycle with the spin speed turned off to drain the water. If the pump is totally blocked, the water will not drain.

2. Shut off the water tap. Switch the appliance off and unplug it.

3. Open the drain filter cover, usually located at the bottom front of the machine.

4. Use the pull-out drain hose located in the pump access opening to drain the remaining water into a suitable container (20 litres). Pull the sealing cap from the hose, let the water drain, then replace the cap and restore the hose to its storage location.

5. Turn the pump cover to remove it. A small amount of residual water may flow out. Clean the interior of the pump housing, removing any debris. Check that the impeller at the back of the pump housing can turn freely. Replace the pump cover by screwing it tightly into position. The handle must be vertical.

6. Close the drain filter cover.

DISPOSAL OF WASTE PACKAGING:

The packaging material is 100% recyclable. Dispose of all packaging responsibly and in full compliance with local authority regulations governing waste disposal.

DISPOSAL OF THE APPLIANCE:

This washer is manufactured with recyclable or reusable materials. It should not be treated as domestic waste. It must be taken to an appropriate collection center for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Dispose of it in accordance with local waste disposal regulations. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.
