The CREATIVE EF1290 headset and its dongle are pre-paired out of the box. Follow these steps for initial setup:

Step 1. Plug the dongle into an available USB-A port on your PC, Mac, or gaming console.

Step 2. Press and hold the Multifunction button on the headset for 2 seconds to power it on.

Step 3. The headset will automatically search for and connect to the paired dongle. Once connected, the LED indicator on the dongle will turn solid blue, while the headset’s LED will blink blue slowly. If automatic pairing is unsuccessful, you will need to perform a manual pairing.

To manually pair your CREATIVE EF1290 headset with the dongle, follow these steps:

Step 1. Plug the dongle into an available USB-A port.

Step 2. Press and hold the Pairing button on the dongle for 3 seconds. The LED indicator will start to blink blue rapidly to indicate it is in pairing mode.

Step 3. On the powered-off headset, press and hold the Multifunction button for 4 seconds to initiate Bluetooth pairing. The LED indicator will also start to blink blue rapidly.

Step 4. Once both devices are successfully paired, the dongle’s LED indicator will turn solid blue, while the headset’s LED indicator will blink blue slowly.

To perform a master reset on the CREATIVE EF1290, press and hold the Multifunction and Volume + buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. The headset will revert to its factory settings, and all previously paired Bluetooth devices will be cleared. The headset will power off upon completion of the master reset.
