The COWAY AP-1512HHW air purifier includes the following features:

• Excellent air purification performance: The True HEPA filter traps airborne allergens and contaminants down to 0.3 microns.

• Air quality indicator: Shows the indoor air pollution level in real time using a colored light (Blue → Dark Purple → Red).

• Filter replacement indicator: An indicator light turns on when it is time to replace the filters.

• Timer: Allows you to set the air purifier to run for a specific duration (1, 4, or 8 hours) before automatically powering off.

The COWAY AP-1512HHW uses a three-stage filtration process:

1. Pre-filter: Removes relatively large particles like dust, mold, human hair, and pet hair.

2. Deodorization filter: Traps odor and harmful gases.

3. True HEPA filter: Effectively removes fine dust and cigarette smoke up to 99.97%.

Before installing, make sure to remove each filter’s plastic bag.

1. Open the front cover by pulling the upper part of it.

2. Take out the filters and remove their plastic packaging.

3. Install the filters in the following order: Pre-filter → Deodorization filter → True HEPA filter. When installing the Pre-filter, make sure to push the grip to install it firmly.

Power Button: Use this button to turn the air purifier on or off. To power off, press and hold the power button for one second.

Speed Button: Use this button to adjust the fan speed. Available settings are Auto → 1 → 2 → 3 → ECO.

Ionizer Button: Use this button to turn the ionizer on or off. You can also press and hold the IONIZER button for 3 seconds to turn the air quality indicating light on or off.

Timer Button: Use this button to set a timer to automatically turn off the air purifier. Available settings are 1 hour, 4 hours, and 8 hours.

Filter Reset Button: When the filter replacement indicator is on, replace the filter and then press the RESET button to reset the indicator.

• Speed indicator: Shows the current fan speed (Auto, 1, 2, 3).

• Eco mode indicator: Turns on when Eco mode is activated.

• Ionizer indicator: Shows whether the ionizer is turned on or off.

• Timer indicator: Shows the current time setting for automatic power-off (1hr, 4hr, 8hr).

• Filter replacement indicator: The HEPA or ODOR light will turn on when the respective filter needs to be replaced.

• Air quality indicator: A round lamp that displays the current pollution level of the room. The colors indicate:

– Blue: Clean

– Dark Purple: Polluted

– Red: Highly polluted

When the air purifier is turned on, it automatically operates in Auto mode.

• Manual & Auto mode: Press the power button, then select the fan speed by pressing the speed button. The sequence is Auto → 1 → 2 → 3 → ECO.

• Auto mode: Automatically optimizes the speed setting from 1 to 3 based on the level of indoor air quality detected by the dust sensor. This mode is recommended for general use.

• Eco mode: If no pollution is detected for 30 minutes, the fan will automatically stop to save energy. This feature helps cut down electricity costs.

The Timer feature automatically powers off the air purifier after 1, 4, or 8 hours.

Press the Timer button to cycle through the settings: 1H → 4H → 8H → Timer off.

To deactivate the timer, press the Timer button until the indicator is no longer lit.

If the pollution level stays at the highest level for over 2 hours or at the lowest level for more than 1 hour when the air does not seem clean, you can adjust the sensor sensitivity.

1. While the air purifier is on, press the airflow speed button and ionizer button simultaneously for 2 seconds.

2. The speed indicator will flash at 1.0 second intervals with a beep to show the current sensor sensitivity.

3. Adjust the sensitivity by pressing the speed button. The speed indicator blinks to show the selected sensitivity:

• Speed step 1: Sensitive

• Speed step 2: Standard

• Speed step 3: Insensitive

4. Press the airflow speed button and ionizer button again for 2 seconds. The air purifier will then resume normal operations with the new setting. The new setting will also be applied if no button is pressed for 10 seconds.

Choose ‘High sensitivity’ if the purifier indicates a low pollution level when the actual level is higher. Choose ‘Low sensitivity’ if the purifier indicates the highest pollution level for more than two hours.

Always unplug the air purifier before cleaning.

Air quality sensor (every 2 months):

1. Open the sensor cover on the right side of the unit. Clean the air inlet and outlet vent and the sensor with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.

2. Wet a cotton swab lightly and clean the lens, dust inlet, and dust outlet. Use a dry cotton swab to remove any remaining moisture.

Air inlet and outlet (every 2 months):

Clean the air inlet and outlet with a soft brush.

Front cover:

Separate the front cover and remove dust with a soft dry brush or cloth. For serious contamination, use a lightly wet cloth but do not use abrasives.

Product body (every 2-4 weeks):

Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the product body. For serious contamination, use a lightly wet cloth but do not use abrasives.

Clean the pre-filter every 2 to 4 weeks.

1. Open the front cover by pulling out the top part of it.

2. Press down on the top clip of the pre-filter and pull it out carefully to prevent dust from falling off.

3. Clean the pre-filter with a vacuum cleaner or with water, depending on the level of contamination.

4. After cleaning, ensure the pre-filter is completely dry before reinstalling it. Fit the front cover back onto the product.

The recommended cycles are based on 8-hour use in maximum air speed and may differ depending on the operating environment.

Note: The Deodorization filter and True HEPA filter cannot be cleaned and reused. Never clean them with water.

Normal Reset:

1. The indicator (Odor LED for Deodorization Filter, HEPA LED for True HEPA Filter) blinks when a filter needs to be replaced.

2. After replacing the filter, press the Reset button for 2 seconds to turn off the indicator light.

Forcible Reset Mode:

If you replace a filter before the indicator light turns on, you can manually reset the cycle.

1. When the reset function is not activated, press and hold the reset button for 2 seconds.

2. Press the reset button to select the desired filter to reset:

– Press once: Odor LED (Deodorization Filter)

– Press twice: HEPA LED (True HEPA Filter)

3. After selecting the filter, press and hold the reset button for 2 seconds. The accumulated time in the electronic time counter will be erased.

If there is no input for 5 seconds while in forcible reset mode, the mode will be cancelled.

Please follow these safety precautions to prevent injury or damage:

• Connect the plug to a dedicated grounded outlet for 120 V, 60 Hz.

• Do not move the product by pulling the power cord.

• Do not handle the plug with wet hands.

• Unplug the product before repairing, inspecting, or replacing a part.

• Remove dust or water from the power plug before use.

• Do not install the product near a heating device or in areas with moisture or flammable gases.

• If the product produces a strange noise, burning smell, or smoke, unplug it immediately.

• Do not place the product in water or place any containers with liquids on top of it.

• Arrange the power cord away from traffic areas where it will not be tripped over. Do not run the cord under carpeting.

• Clean the Pre-filter regularly and dry it completely before use.

• Unplug or disconnect the appliance from the power supply before servicing.
