Before installing your CECOTEC BOLERO FLUX DM 603500 GLASS BLACK B, please adhere to the following requirements:

• Ensure the installation area is clean to prevent the hood from sucking in dust or dirt.

• The kitchen hood must not share the same ventilation duct with other appliances that use gas or other fuels.

• To facilitate air outlet, the ventilation duct should have a curvature of ≥120° and be connected to the outside wall.

• After installation, the kitchen hood must be level to prevent grease build-up on the end.

• The hood should be placed at a distance of 65-75 cm above the cooking surface for the best effect.

Follow these steps to install your CECOTEC BOLERO FLUX DM 603500 GLASS BLACK B:

1. Install the wall hook in a suitable location once the installation height is set and keep it aligned. Use screws (ST4*40 mm star head screws) to fix it to the wall.

2. Fix the outer bracket on the chimney, and make sure that the inner part of the chimney can be adjusted to the installation height, as well as that of the exhaust duct. Then, install the exhaust duct in the chimney of the kitchen hood and place the hood in the bracket.

3. Place the kitchen hood on the hook on the wall.

4. Fix the outer bracket with the hooks and the inner part of the chimney with two screws (ST4*8 mm). Fix the housing with safety screws (ST4*30 mm).

5. Plug the power cable into the outlet.

For wiring, connect the cables as follows:

• Black cable (or brown, depending on models) > Phase

• Blue cable > neutral

• Yellow-Green cable > ground

You must connect the phase and neutral cables to a 220-240 V~/ 50 Hz power cable. The kitchen hood must be connected to an earthed installation.

Use the buttons to adjust the speed of your CECOTEC BOLERO FLUX DM 603500 GLASS BLACK B:

1. Press the power button, the motor will stop.

2. Press the Eco button, the kitchen hood will beep, and the motor will operate at low speed.

3. Press the II button, the kitchen hood will beep, and the motor will operate at medium speed.

4. Press the III button, the kitchen hood will beep, and the motor will operate at high speed.

5. Press the light button so that it switches on. Press it again for the light to switch off.

NOTE: The hood is equipped with an overheating protection system that acts to prevent possible incidents when the motor temperature exceeds the operating limit value.

Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning. To prevent the outer surface from deteriorating over time, it is recommended to clean it with hot water and a non-corrosive detergent every two months. Do not use abrasive detergents, as this may damage the surface. Keep the motor and other parts away from water.

Do not use corrosive detergents. Regular cleaning will prolong the life of the appliance. To remove the filter, press on the tabs and pull it out.

Cleaning method 1: Immerse the aluminium filters in hot water (40-50 °C), add neutral detergent and let them soak for 2 to 3 minutes. Protect yourself with gloves and clean the filters with a soft brush or scouring pad. Do not apply too much force, as filters are very delicate and can be easily damaged.

Cleaning method 2: If you wish, you can also wash the filters in the dishwasher at a temperature of approx. 60 °C.

The carbon filter purifies air and absorbs cooking odours. It cannot be washed or cleaned; when its service life ends, you must replace it with a new one. It is recommended to check the condition of carbon filters regularly, at least two or three times a year. If you frequently fry food, shorten the interval for checking and/or replacing the filters.

Installing the carbon filters:

1. Remove the protective metal filters.

2. The carbon filters are located on both sides of the motor. Insert and turn the filters until they are firmly in place.

3. To replace the carbon filters, proceed in reverse order.

4. Carbon filters must not be exposed to heat.

Please note the following when replacing the light bulb:

• Always disconnect the power supply before performing any operation on the appliance.

• When handling the bulb, make sure that it has cooled down completely before any direct contact with your hands.

• When handling the bulbs, hold them with a cloth or gloves to prevent sweat from coming into contact with the bulb, as this may reduce the bulb life.

• Before changing the light bulb, make sure that the appliance is switched off and unplugged.

• Protect yourself from danger when changing the light bulb, e.g. by wearing gloves.
