To establish a wired LAN connection with your CASIO XJ-UT312WN projector, use a LAN cable to connect the projector to a network device, such as a router. For more details on how to connect, refer to “Establishing a Network Connection Between the Projector and a Computer” in your projector’s user’s guide (Network Function Guide).

The CASIO XJ-UT312WN projector can be controlled from an external device via its LAN port and supports the following:

Web Browser: The projector supports control using a computer web browser. For connection details, see “Projector Remote” in the projector’s user’s guide (Network Function Guide).

PJLink: The projector supports the PJLink Class1 standard formulated by the Japan Business Machine and Information System Industries Association (JBMIA).

The following table shows the input switching instruction and input switching query parameters and their corresponding input sources for the CASIO XJ-UT312WN projector.

When using PJLink with your CASIO XJ-UT312WN projector, please note the following:

• Image only mute is not supported by the AV mute instruction and AV mute state query.

• The cover open error and filter error are not supported by the error state query.

• A projector name query returns the projector name specified on the Web Service Page.

• A manufacturer name query returns CASIO.

• A device name query returns XJ-F21XN / XJ-F211WN / XJ-UT312WN / XJ-UT352WN / XJ-S400UN / XJ-S400WN.

The password used for the PJLink connection authentication process is the same as the Setup page password on the Web Service Page. You can configure the projector to enable or disable this authentication.

To do so, navigate to [Network Settings] -> [Network Settings] -> [PJLINK Authentication] on the projector’s Setup Menu.

• Enable: PJLink connection authentication is enabled. (This is the initial default setting).

• Disable: PJLink connection authentication is disabled.

When using a Crestron controller with your CASIO XJ-UT312WN, you must configure the controller’s IP address and other settings on the projector. These settings are configured on the Crestron Control page, which appears when you click [Other Settings] on the Setup page of the Web Service Page.

The following settings can be configured:

• IP address: Specifies the controller IP address.

• IP ID: Specifies the controller IP ID.

• Port: Specifies the port number being used (Always 41794).

Enter the applicable information for each item and then click the [Save changes] button to apply the new settings.

The CASIO XJ-UT312WN projector supports the AMX controller and Device Discovery. The commands used for control are PJLink standard commands.

You can configure your CASIO XJ-UT312WN to enable or disable power on via wired LAN while it is in the standby state. To do so, use the [Network Settings] -> [Remote On] option on the projector’s Setup Menu.

• Enable: Power on via LAN is enabled.

• Disable: Power on via LAN is disabled. (This is the initial default setting).

Note: Performing an “Initializing network settings” operation with the Setup Menu will cause this setting to change to “Disabled”. If you operate the projector using a wired LAN setting, be sure to change this setting back to “Enabled” after initialization.

The CASIO XJ-UT312WN projector has the following restrictions when it is turned on from the standby state:

• The wired LAN connection will be disconnected for about one minute after the projector is turned on. During this time, even if you send a ping command, no reply will be returned from the projector. You also cannot operate the projector using PJLink, Crestron, or AMX commands during this period.

• When you get an IP address from a DHCP server automatically, some DHCP servers do not always assign the same IP address. A different IP address may be assigned. If you do not want a different IP address to be assigned, change the network setting to use a fixed IP address.
