To establish a wired LAN connection for your CASIO XJ-UT352WN projector, use a LAN cable to connect the projector’s LAN port to a network device, such as a router. This allows an external device, like a computer, which is also connected to the same network, to control the projector.

The CASIO XJ-UT352WN projector can be controlled from an external device via its LAN port and supports the following:

Web Browser: The projector supports control using a standard computer web browser.

PJLink: The projector supports the PJLink Class1 standard.

Crestron: The projector supports Crestron Electronics controller and software (RoomView Express®) commands.

AMX: The projector supports the AMX controller and Device Discovery. The commands used for control are PJLink standard commands.

The CASIO XJ-UT352WN projector has the following functionalities and limitations regarding PJLink:

• Image only mute is not supported by the AV mute instruction and AV mute state query.

• The cover open error and filter error are not supported by the error state query.

• A projector name query returns the projector name specified on the Web Service Page.

• A manufacturer name query returns CASIO.

• A device name query returns XJ-F21XN / XJ-F211WN / XJ-UT312WN / XJ-UT352WN / XJ-S400UN / XJ-S400WN.

The password used for the PJLink connection authentication process is the same as the Setup page password on the Web Service Page. You can configure the projector to enable or disable this authentication.

To change the setting, use the projector’s Setup Menu and navigate to [Network Settings] -> [Network Settings] -> [PJLINK Authentication].

• Enable: PJLink connection authentication is enabled. (This is the initial default setting).

• Disable: PJLink connection authentication is disabled.

When using a Crestron controller with your CASIO XJ-UT352WN, you must configure the controller’s IP address and other settings on the projector. This is done on the Crestron Control page, which appears when you click [Other Settings] on the projector’s Web Service Page.

You need to configure the following settings:

• IP address: Specifies the controller IP address.

• IP ID: Specifies the controller IP ID.

• Port: Specifies the port number being used. This is always 41794.

Enter the applicable information for each item and then click the [Save changes] button to apply the new settings.

You can configure your CASIO XJ-UT352WN projector to enable or disable powering on via a wired LAN connection while it is in the standby state. To do so, use the projector’s Setup Menu and navigate to [Network Settings] -> [Remote On].

• Enable: Power on via wired LAN is enabled.

• Disable: Power on via wired LAN is disabled. (This is the initial default setting).

Note that performing an “Initializing network settings” operation with the Setup Menu will cause this setting to change back to “Disabled”. If you are operating the projector using a wired LAN setting, be sure to change this setting back to “Enabled” after initialization.

Yes, the CASIO XJ-UT352WN projector has a restriction when it is turned on from the standby state via a wired LAN connection. The wired LAN connection will be disconnected for about one minute after the projector is turned on.

During this one-minute period, even if you send a ping command, no reply will be returned from the projector. You will also be unable to operate the projector using PJLink, Crestron, or AMX commands during this time.

If your CASIO XJ-UT352WN projector is configured to get an IP address from a DHCP server automatically, its IP address might change each time it is turned on. This is because some DHCP servers do not always assign the same IP address to a device.

If you do not want a different IP address to be assigned, you should change the projector’s network settings to use a fixed (static) IP address instead of obtaining one automatically via DHCP.
