7. Fold up the top section of the wind deflector.

Loading Function:

You can still load cargo onto the rear seat with the deflector installed.

Resuming a Stored Speed:

Press the button on the end of the stalk (arrow 4). The system will resume the last stored speed.

Active Cruise Control on your BMW 335I CONVERTIBLE 2008 not only maintains a set speed but also automatically adjusts your speed to maintain a selected distance from a vehicle ahead. It is operated using the lever on the left of the steering column.

Activating and Setting Speed:

Both DSC and DTC are now deactivated, and stabilizing interventions will no longer occur. To increase vehicle stability, you should reactivate DSC as soon as possible by pressing the button again.

To ensure reliable reporting of a flat tire, the Flat Tire Monitor (FTM) system must be initialized whenever a tire’s inflation pressure has been corrected or a wheel or tire has been changed.

1. Start the engine, but do not start driving.

2. Press the MENU button to open the iDrive start menu.

3. Press the controller to open the ‘i’ menu.

4. Select “Settings” and press the controller.

5. Select “Vehicle / Tires” and press the controller.

6. Turn the controller in the upper field until “FTM” is selected and press the controller.

7. Select “Reset” and press the controller.

8. Select “Yes” and press the controller to confirm.

9. Start to drive. The initialization process is completed automatically while the car is in motion and does not provide any feedback upon completion.

You must reset the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) each time a tire inflation pressure has been corrected or a wheel or tire has been changed. This establishes the new pressures as the target values for the system to monitor.

1. Start the engine, but do not start driving.

2. Press the MENU button to open the iDrive start menu.

3. Press the controller to open the ‘i’ menu.

4. Select “Settings” and press the controller.

5. Select “Vehicle / Tires” and press the controller.

6. Turn the controller in the upper field until “TPM” is selected and press the controller.

7. Select “Reset” and press the controller.

The parked car ventilation system can ventilate the passenger compartment to lower its temperature. It runs for 30 minutes and can be switched on directly or pre-programmed for two different start times.

Switching On/Off Directly:

1. With the vehicle at radio readiness, press the MENU button.

2. Move the controller to the left to open “Climate”.

3. Select “Parked car operation” and press the controller.

For Fixed-Code Transmitters:

2. For first-time programming, press and hold the two outer memory buttons (1 and 3) for approx. 20 seconds until the LED flashes rapidly. This clears all previous settings.

3. Hold your original hand-held transmitter 4 to 12 inches away from the integrated remote control buttons in the vehicle.

4. Simultaneously press and hold the transmit button on your original transmitter and the desired memory button (1, 2, or 3) on the integrated remote control.

5. The LED on the integrated remote will flash slowly at first, then rapidly. Once it flashes rapidly, release both buttons. The programming is complete.

For Alternating-Code (Rolling Code) Transmitters:

1. Follow all the steps for a fixed-code transmitter as described above.

2. Locate the “learn” or “program” button on the receiver of the device you want to control (e.g., on the garage door opener motor unit).

3. Press this “learn” button. After this step, you typically have about 30 seconds to complete the next step.

4. Return to your car and press the programmed memory button on the integrated remote control three times. The system should now be synchronized and operational.

You can enter a destination manually using the iDrive controller.

1. Press the MENU button, then move the controller to the right to call up “Navigation”.

2. “New destination” will be selected. Press the controller.

3. Select “Enter address” and press the controller.
