3. After a few seconds, the “Communication” menu should appear, indicating a successful pairing.

Once paired, the phone will be automatically recognized when it is in the vehicle with the ignition on. Your phone book entries will be transferred to the vehicle.

Connecting Jumper Cables:

Your BMW has a dedicated jump-starting connection in the engine compartment that acts as the positive terminal. It is marked with a “+” symbol.

1. Open the hood and pull the cap off the BMW’s jump-starting connection.

2. Attach one clamp of the positive (+) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the assisting vehicle’s battery.

3. Attach the other clamp of the positive (+) jumper cable to the positive jump-starting connection on your BMW.

4. Attach one clamp of the negative (-) jumper cable to the negative terminal of the assisting vehicle’s battery.

Starting the Engine:

1. Start the engine of the assisting vehicle and let it run for a few minutes.

2. Attempt to start the engine of your BMW in the usual way.

3. Once your engine starts, let both engines run for a few minutes.

Disconnect the cables in the exact reverse order of connection.
