To use the AVERMEDIA LIVE STREAMER AX310, your system must meet the following requirements:

Follow these steps to connect your AVERMEDIA LIVE STREAMER AX310 to a Next-Gen console:

1. Connect your headphones to the Headphones Out (3.5 mm, 3 pole) port.

2. Connect your microphone to the Mic In (XLR) port.

3. Connect the console’s audio output to the Optical In port on the AX310.

4. Connect the AX310 to your Streaming PC using the USB port.

Note: PS5 and Xbox X/S Series may require an HDMI to Optical adapter (sold separately). The optical output setting on your console must be set to Linear PCM or uncompressed stereo. The optical input does not support compressed audio signals like 5.1 ch or 7.1 ch.

Follow these steps to connect your AVERMEDIA LIVE STREAMER AX310 to a Nintendo Switch:

1. Connect your headphones to the Headphones Out (3.5 mm, 3 pole) port.

2. Connect your microphone to the Mic In (XLR) port.

3. Connect the Nintendo Switch’s headphone jack to the Line In (3.5 mm, 3 pole) port on the AX310.

4. Connect the AX310 to your Streaming PC using the USB port.

To configure a Dual PC setup with the AVERMEDIA LIVE STREAMER AX310:

1. Connect your headphones to the Headphones Out (3.5 mm, 3 pole) port on the AX310.

2. Connect your microphone to the Mic In (XLR) port on the AX310.

3. Connect the Gaming PC’s Line Out to the Line In (3.5 mm, 3 pole) port on the AX310.

4. Connect the AX310 to your Streaming PC using the USB port.

To use in-game chat with your Dual PC setup:

1. Connect your headphones to the Headphones Out (3.5 mm, 3 pole) port on the AX310.

2. Connect your microphone to the Mic In (XLR) port on the AX310.

3. Connect the Gaming PC’s Line Out to the Line In (3.5 mm, 3 pole) port on the AX310.

4. Connect the Line Out (3.5 mm, 3 pole) from the AX310 to the Gaming PC’s Line In port.

5. In the Creator Central software, the “LINE OUT” setting must be set to “Chat Mic”.

6. Connect the AX310 to your Streaming PC using the USB port.

1. Download and run the Assist Central utility. It will automatically detect your AX310.

2. In Assist Central, you will see a list of software for your device.

3. After downloading the necessary files, select the “Execute” button.

4. The installation process will begin, which includes installing the software, updating the firmware, and installing the driver.

5. Once the installation is complete, you will need to restart your system.

1. Download the installer package for macOS.

2. Unzip the downloaded .zip file.

3. Open the .pkg file to start the installation process.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions. The installer will install Creator Central, update firmware, and install the necessary drivers.

The Creator Central interface is divided into the following main sections:

1. Sidebar: Provides quick access to functions like Hotkeys & Widgets, Audio Mixer, Widget Store, Settings, etc.

2. Display Section: Shows the Hotkeys & Widgets list or Audio Mixer controls, along with the Audio Routing Table.

3. Profile Management: Buttons to add, copy, and edit hotkey and mixer profiles.

4. Control Panel: A customizable grid for your hotkeys, widgets, and function buttons, mirroring the AX310’s touch screen.

5. Audio Track Indicators: Displays the volume levels for the six audio knobs.

6. Configuration Area: Shows detailed settings for the selected knob, hotkey, or widget.

Ensure you have updated to Windows 10 20H2 version or newer. After installing the drivers, follow these steps:

1. Open the Windows Sound settings.

2. Go to the “Playback” tab.

3. Find “Chat (Live Streamer AX310)”. Right-click on it and select “Set as Default Communication Device”.

4. Find “System (Live Streamer AX310)”. Right-click on it and select “Set as Default Device”.

5. Go to the “Recording” tab.

6. Find “Chat Mic (Live Streamer AX310)”. Right-click on it and select “Set as Default Device”.

To route specific applications (e.g., Spotify, a game) to a specific channel (SYSTEM, GAME, or CHAT), right-click the audio icon on your taskbar, select “Open Sound settings”, go to “Advanced sound options”, and then “App volume and device preferences”. Here you can assign the output device for each application individually.

To configure audio settings on macOS:

1. Go to System Preferences > Sound.

2. Select the “Output” tab.

3. Choose “System (Live Streamer AX310)” as the device for sound output. This routes all general system audio to the “System” track on your AX310.

4. Select the “Input” tab.

5. Choose “Chat Mic (Live Streamer AX310)” as the device for sound input.

Since macOS does not have a “Default communication device” setting, you must manually set the input and output devices within your voice chat software (e.g., Discord). Set the Input Device to “Chat Mic (2- Live Streamer AX310)” and the Output Device to “Chat (2- Live Streamer AX310)”.

From your computer’s perspective, the AVERMEDIA LIVE STREAMER AX310 provides several virtual audio devices (tracks).

Outputs (Playback Devices):

– System (Live Streamer AX310): Controlled by the “System” Knob. This is for your main desktop audio.

– Game (Live Streamer AX310): Controlled by the “Game” Knob. You can route your game audio here.

– Chat (Live Streamer AX310): Controlled by the “Chat” Knob. This should be used as the audio output for your voice chat software (Discord, Skype, etc.).

Inputs (Recording Devices):

– Chat Mic (Live Streamer AX310): This is the audio track that should be used for your voice chat software input.

– Audience Mix (Live Streamer AX310): This is the sum of all 6 audio tracks on the AX310. It should be selected as the main input for your streaming software (like OBS). The composition of this mix depends on whether you are in Single Mix or Dual Mix mode.

– Creator Mix (Live Streamer AX310): This is the audio mix that goes to your headphones.

The Audio Routing Table, located in the Audio Mixer section of Creator Central, provides a visual, easy-to-read diagram of the audio routing for all six tracks. It shows how each input (MIC, LINE IN, CONSOLE, SYSTEM, GAME, CHAT) is routed to the outputs (Headphones, Line Out, Chat Mic, and the virtual devices for your stream). It also includes volume levels and provides quick access to output settings.

1. In the Creator Central app, click the gear icon in the bottom left corner of the sidebar to open the Settings menu.

2. Select “Hardware” to manage touch panel settings like brightness, sleep timer, and RGB lighting.

3. Select “Output” to manage audio output settings.

4. In the Output menu, under “Line Out”, you can use the “Output Source” dropdown to select which audio mix is routed to the physical LINE OUT port. Options include Audience Mix, Creator Mix, and Chat Mic.

5. You can also adjust the separate volume levels for Headphones and Line Out in this menu.

1. In the Creator Central app, go to the Audio Mixer section.

2. Select the MIC knob to bring up the microphone settings panel.

3. Microphone Type: Select the type of microphone you have connected (XLR Dynamic, XLR Condenser (+48V), 6.3 mm).

4. Gain: Adjust the slider to set the input level of your microphone.

5. Effects: You can adjust settings for Noise Gate, Compressor, Echo, Reverb, and a 3-band Equalizer (Treble, Mid, Bass). Clicking on each of these options will open a more detailed settings window.

To have these microphone effects also apply to your “Chat Mic” output (the audio going to Discord, etc.), go to Settings > Output > Chat Mic, and set the “Source” to “Mic with effects”.

Single Mix is the default audio mixer mode in Creator Central. In this mode, there is one single audio mix (“Master Mix”) that is sent to your headphones, the Line Out port, and your stream (via the “Audience Mix” virtual input). The volume levels for all six tracks are the same for you, your stream, and any device connected to the Line Out port. The “MIC” knob controls the mic volume level for both your headphones and your stream simultaneously.

You can toggle microphone monitoring (hearing your own voice in your headset) on and off using the “Monitor” widget. Even with monitoring turned off, your microphone sound will still be sent to the “Audience Mix” for your stream.

Dual Mix mode allows you to create two independent audio mixes with different volume levels for each of the six tracks.

– Creator Mix: This is the mix of the 6 tracks that you hear in your headset.

– Audience Mix: This is the mix of the 6 tracks that your audience hears on the live stream.

This allows you to, for example, have game audio louder in your headset while keeping it quieter for your stream, or mute a music track for your stream while still listening to it yourself.

To enable it, go to the Audio Mixer section in Creator Central and click the “Enable Dual Mix” toggle.

In Dual Mix mode, the “MIC” knob’s function depends on which mix you have selected to control:

– When controlling the Creator Mix, the “MIC” knob adjusts the microphone volume level that you hear in your headset and the level sent to the “Chat Mic” (for Discord, etc.).

– When controlling the Audience Mix, the “MIC” knob adjusts the microphone volume level that your stream hears.

You can use the “Monitor” widget to enable or disable microphone monitoring (playback) in your headset. This only affects the Creator Mix; the Audience Mix is not affected. Microphone sound is always sent to the “Chat mic” and “Audience Mix” regardless of the monitor setting.

You can use the “Switch Mix” widget to toggle between controlling the Creator Mix and the Audience Mix on your AX310.

The AVERMEDIA LIVE STREAMER AX310 has five pages for hotkeys and widgets (a 4×5 grid per page). You can swipe left or right to switch between pages and swipe up to return to the home screen.

1. To add a widget or hotkey, go to the “Hotkeys & Widgets” section in Creator Central.

2. Drag a desired function from the sidebar on the left and drop it onto an empty slot on the virtual control panel.

3. To modify a widget, click on it in the control panel. This will open a settings section below.

4. In the settings section, you can change the Title (text displayed on the button). You can also customize the image by clicking the pencil icon next to the image preview. Supported image formats are PNG, JPG, and GIF with a recommended resolution of 150×108 px.

5. If a widget has two statuses (e.g., on/off), you can select the second status tab in the settings section to customize its appearance as well.

The first and most important step is to ensure all audio sources are routed through the AX310.

1. In OBS Studio, delete or mute any existing audio sources in your scenes.

2. Go to File > Settings > Audio.

3. Under “Global Audio Devices”, set “Desktop Audio” and “Desktop Audio 2” to “Disabled”.

4. Set “Mic/Auxiliary Audio” to “Audience Mix (Live Streamer AX310)”.

5. Set all other Mic/Auxiliary Audio devices to “Disabled”.

6. Click Apply and OK. Now, all audio for your stream will come from the Audience Mix you configure in Creator Central.

To use OBS widgets with your AX310, you need to install the OBS WebSocket plugin.

For Windows:

The recommended method is to use the “AVerMediaOBSWebSocketServerInstaller_v1.0.1.exe”. Download and run the installer, then follow the instructions.

For macOS:

Download and run “AVerMediaOBSWebSocketServerInstaller_v1.0.1.pkg”.

After installation, if you have trouble using the widgets, open OBS, go to Tools > WebSockets Server Settings, and make sure the “Enable authentication” box is unchecked. If you prefer to use a password, you must enter the same password into the Creator Central app settings (Settings > OBS).

To ensure all audio is routed through the AX310 in Streamlabs Desktop:

1. In SLOBS, go to Settings > Audio.

2. Set “Desktop Audio Device 1” to “Disabled”.

3. Set “Mic/Auxiliary Device 1” to “Audience Mix (2- Live Streamer AX310)”.

4. Set all other audio devices to “Disabled”.

5. Click Done. Your stream audio will now be controlled by the Audience Mix in Creator Central.

To use SLOBS widgets, you need to link Creator Central to SLOBS using an API token.

1. In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Remote Control.

2. Click “Show details” to reveal the QR code and API token information.

3. Copy the string of text from the “API token” field.

4. In the Creator Central app, go to Settings > Streamlabs OBS.

5. Paste the copied token into the “Streamlabs OBS API Token” field and click Apply.

Part 1: Install the Plugin

1. In Creator Central, click the hamburger menu in the top left and go to Widget Store.

2. Find and download the Voicemod plugin file to your computer.

3. In Creator Central, go to Widget Import.

4. Select the downloaded Voicemod plugin file and click Open.

5. Wait for the installation to complete. Voicemod hotkeys will then appear in your “Hotkey & Widgets” list.

Part 2: Configure the Voicemod App

1. Install and run the Voicemod application.

2. In Voicemod, go to Settings > Audio.

3. Set the INPUT device to “Chat Mic (Live Streamer AX310)”.

4. Set the OUTPUT device to “Chat (Live Streamer AX310)”. This output is for monitoring purposes only.

Part 3: Configure Creator Central

1. In Creator Central, go to the Audio Mixer.

2. Ensure that “Enable Dual Mix” is turned on.

3. In the Audience Mix, mute the “CHAT” channel. This prevents a feedback loop from the Voicemod monitor output.

This setup allows you to send your normal microphone audio to chat apps like Discord while sending the Voicemod-processed audio to your stream.

In OBS:

1. Create a new “Audio Input Capture” source and name it “Voicemod”.

2. In its properties, set the Device to “Microphone (Voicemod Virtual Audio Device (WDM))”. This is the output from the Voicemod app.

3. Create another “Audio Input Capture” source and name it “Audience”.

4. In its properties, set the Device to “Audience Mix (Live Streamer AX310)”.

In Creator Central:

1. Make sure you are in Dual Mix mode.

2. In the Audience Mix settings, mute the MIC channel. This prevents your unprocessed mic audio from being sent to the stream along with the Voicemod audio.

Audio Routing Summary:

– Your XLR microphone goes into the AX310.

– The “Chat Mic” output from the AX310 goes into Voicemod AND your chat app (Discord).

– Voicemod’s output (“Voicemod Virtual Audio Device”) goes into its own source in OBS.

– All other sounds (game, music, system) are mixed in the AX310’s Audience Mix and sent to the “Audience” source in OBS.

There are two separate monitoring functions:

– “Hear myself” in Voicemod: This allows you to hear the final, processed microphone sound from Voicemod.

– “Monitor” in AX310 Creator Central: This allows you to monitor the raw, unprocessed sound from your XLR microphone.

When you want to hear your voice as the audience hears it (with Voicemod effects), enable “Hear myself” in Voicemod. At the same time, you should mute the MIC channel in your Creator Mix within Creator Central to avoid hearing both the processed and unprocessed versions of your voice.

Profiles allow you to save different layouts of your control panel for various situations (e.g., a profile for streaming, one for recording, one for video editing).

1. In the “Hotkeys & Widgets” section of Creator Central, click the “+” icon at the top of the screen next to the current profile name.

2. Type a name for your new profile and select “OK”. You can now customize this new layout without affecting your other profiles.

3. To switch between profiles quickly, drag the “Hotkey Profile Switch” widget from the sidebar onto your control panel. You can then configure this widget to switch to a specific profile when pressed, or use the dropdown menu in its settings to select which profile you want to switch to.

Audio profiles save all your audio settings, including mixer levels, mic effects (EQ, compressor, etc.), and routing.

1. In the “Audio Mixer” section of Creator Central, click the “+” icon at the top of the screen next to the current profile name.

2. Type a name for your new audio profile and select “OK”. Any changes you make to audio settings will now be saved to this new profile.

3. To switch between audio profiles quickly, go to the “Hotkeys & Widgets” section and drag the “Mixer Profile Switch” widget onto your control panel. You can then use the dropdown menu in this widget’s settings to select which audio profile you want to switch to when the button is pressed.

If you encounter any issues or have suggestions, you can use the built-in feedback tool.

1. In the Creator Central app, go to Settings (gear icon).

2. Select the “Feedback” tab from the list.

3. You can select a problem type, the product name, and type a description of the issue or suggestion.

4. You have the option to include system information (without personal information) to help with troubleshooting.

5. Fill out the form and submit it for assistance.
