Please adhere to the following attention points when using your ARCTIC WIND AP10018:

1. The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.

2. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

3. The plug shall be accessible after installing the appliance.

4. The appliance shall be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.

5. The appliance cannot be installed in laundry.

6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.

7. Please wait three minutes before restarting when the power is interrupted.

8. To be in compliance with the requirement of EN 61000-3-11:2000, the EUT shall be connected only to a supply of the system impedance: Zsys=0.468 or less.

9. The minimum clearance from the appliance to a combustible surface is 1m.

For the ARCTIC WIND AP10018, other air conditioning patterns are recommended when the ambient temperature is either below 18°C (65°F) or above 35°C (95°F).

The control panel on your ARCTIC WIND AP10018 has several functions:

1. REMOTE CONTROLLER SIGNAL RECEIVER: Receives signals from the remote controller.

2. DIGITAL DISPLAY:

• In FAN mode, it indicates room temperature.

• In COOL or DRY mode, it indicates the set temperature.

• During timer operation, it shows the set time. After 5 seconds, it reverts to showing the temperature.

• If the room temp sensor fails, it indicates a temperature of 25°C (77°F).

3. TEMP button (+/-):

• Press to adjust the setting temperature within a range of 17°C (63°F) to 31°C (88°F).

• When setting the timer, press these buttons to set the time from 1-12 hours.

4. UNIT INDICATION button/lights: The corresponding light will turn on when you select an operation mode (COOL, DRY, FAN, HEAT), fan speed (HIGH, MED, LOW), or when the water tank is full.

5. TIMER button:

• If the unit is running, press to enter timed Switch-OFF mode.

• If the unit is in standby, press to enter timed Switch-ON mode.

• Press the button again to cancel the timer operation.

6. FAN SPEED button: Press to cycle through fan speeds: HIGH, MED, LOW.

7. POWER button: Press to turn the air conditioner ON or OFF. The power indicator will light when ON.

8. MODE button: Press to cycle through the operation modes: COOL -> DRY -> FAN -> HEAT (heating for cooling and heating models).

Before you plug in the ARCTIC WIND AP10018, please ensure the following:

• Make sure the air conditioner is turned off.

• The AC socket must be firm and reliable.

• Do not connect the portable air conditioner to a multiple socket outlet which is also being used for other electrical appliances.

To set the present time (e.g., to AM 10:30) on your ARCTIC WIND AP10018 remote controller, follow these steps:

Step 1. Continually press the HOUR button for about 2 seconds. The time indicator will flicker, allowing you to set the HOUR.

Step 2. Press the HOUR button to set the hour (e.g., set to AM 10:).

Step 3. Press the MIN button to set the minute (e.g., set to 30).

Step 4. Press the ON/OFF button to confirm the set time. Alternatively, the remote will automatically exit the time setting state after 15 seconds.

Method of Transmission:

• Point the remote controller at the air conditioner and press a button. The signal will be transmitted to the unit.

• Upon receiving the signal, the air conditioner will make a “dee-” sound for acknowledgment.

Points of Attention:

• Do not place the controller near high-temperature sources like a heating radiator.

• Do not place the controller in direct sunlight or near strong lights.

• Avoid dropping the controller.

• Do not place blocking objects between the air conditioner and the controller.

• Do not splash water or other liquids on the controller.

• Do not put heavy objects on the controller.

• If the remote controller is not functioning, replace the batteries and try again.

If the ARCTIC WIND AP10018 does not make an acknowledgment sound when a signal is transmitted, the batteries are likely exhausted and need replacement. Follow these steps:

1. Remove the battery case cover by sliding it open in the direction of the arrow.

2. Take out the used batteries.

3. Replace with new batteries, paying attention to the “+” and “-” polarity marks.

4. Close the back cover.

The ARCTIC WIND AP10018 evaporates most condensed water. However, if the internal water tank becomes full, the “FULL” lamp will illuminate, and the unit will stop running. To drain the water, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the air conditioner, disconnect the exhaust hose from the back, and move the unit to a suitable drain location or outdoors.

2. Remove the base stopper from the base water outlet to drain the water.

3. Once the internal water tank is drained, reinstall the base stopper, making sure it is on securely.

4. Place the air conditioner in the desired location, reconnect the exhaust hose, and plug in the air conditioner. The unit will now operate normally.

Note: When the “FULL” indicator illuminates, there is approximately 1.5L of water in the tank.

In high humidity environments, you can set up continuous drainage to reduce the need to empty the water tank. Please note this method may reduce the efficiency of the machine.

a) Pull out the partition plate stopper.

b) Connect a hose (not provided) to the partition plate joint and lead it to a floor drain or a suitable area for draining the condensate.

When using the continuous drainage function, the hose must be placed horizontally below the drainage hole. Avoid folding the hose or placing it on an uneven surface.

If the air filter is blocked with dust, air flow will be reduced. Clean the filter once every two weeks. Always pull the plug out of the socket before cleaning.

1. Directly grasp the hook on the bottom to remove the air filters with the direction of the arrow.

2. Wash the air filters by immersing them gently into warm (about 40°C or 104°F) water with a neutral detergent.

3. Rinse the filter of detergent and dry it thoroughly in a shaded place.

4. Install the air filter back into its original place.

Cleaning the Unit Surface:

Clean the surface of the unit with a damp cloth, then dry using a duster or similar. Do not use chemical solvents (like benzene, alcohol glazer) to clean the surface, as this can cause scratches, damage, or deformation of the casing.

Prior to Operation Seasons:

1. Check that the air inlets and outlets of the unit are not blocked.

2. Check that the partition plate stopper and the base stopper are installed accurately.

3. Make sure the air filter is properly in place before operating the machine.

After the Operational Seasons (Storage):

1. Turn off the air conditioner and disconnect the power source.

2. Perform proper maintenance on the air filter and other parts.

3. Open the partition plate stopper and the base stopper to drain out any water. Then, operate the unit in fan mode for half an hour to ensure the partition plate and the base are dry.

4. Use a plastic sheet to cover the unit to prevent dust or filth from entering.

Occasion/Location:

• Do not use the unit in a very narrow room with obstacles.

• Do not use the unit where sunlight is shining directly onto it to avoid surface color changing.

• Do not use the unit in or near water to avoid leakage of electricity.

• Do not use near gas appliances, fires, or in the vicinity of flammable liquids.

Power Sources:

• Do not use a damaged or improper AC socket.

• When unplugging the unit, hold the power plug securely and pull it out carefully.

• Do not use an extension cord.

Other Cautions:

• Keep the unit one meter away from TV sets or radios to avoid electromagnetic interference.

• Do not use with the air outlet close to walls or cover the outlet to avoid overheating.

Serious Cautions:

• Do not toggle over or incline the unit. If the unit does toggle over, unplug it at once and seek advice from your reseller.

• Do not spray with insecticide or other chemicals as the plastic case may be deformed.

If your ARCTIC WIND AP10018 does not operate, please check the following:

• Is there power? If not, this is normal.

• Is it plugged in? Push the plug into the wall socket.

• Did the fuse or circuit breaker switch off? Change the fuse or switch it on.

• Is the “full” lamp illuminated? Discharge the condensed water from the base water outlet.

If the cooling efficiency is poor, please check the following:

• Is the air inlet or outlet blocked? Clear the blockage.

• Is there any other heat source in the room? Move the heat source.

• Are the air filters very dirty? Clean the air filter.

• Is the indoor fan speed set at low? Set a suitable fan speed.

If you notice excessive noise or vibration, consider the following:

• The sound of inner liquid (refrigerant) flowing inside is normal.

• Check if the unit is leveled. If not, place it on a horizontal floor.

If your ARCTIC WIND AP10018 starts and stops frequently, check these points:

• Is the voltage of the power source normal? Ensure the power source is within the rated voltage range.

• Is the air exhaust hose fixed rightly or bent? Try to keep the air exhaust hose horizontal and do not enlarge it.

• Did you add an air exhaust yourself? Do not add an air exhaust yourself; remove any additions.

If water spills when you move the unit, it is likely because the base tank is nearly full. You should discharge the condensed water from the base water outlet before moving the unit.

In case of a major malfunction, pull the plug out immediately and call for service. Signs of a major malfunction include:

• The fuse and switch often break.

• The power cord superheats or the sleeve of the cord is broken.

• Something abnormal occurs.

Put the mobile air conditioner in a flat location where the air outlets cannot be covered up. Place the unit no less than 50cm (19.7 inches) away from a wall or other obstacle.

Installation:

1. First, take out the hose and pull out the hot air outlet from the unit.

2. Revolve the air exhaust adapter into the air exhaust hose in the direction of the arrow for at least six rounds.

3. Revolve the air exhaust hose into the air conditioner in the same manner.

Uninstallation:

1. Revolve the air exhaust adapter off the air exhaust hose in the opposite direction of the arrow.

2. Revolve the air exhaust hose off the air conditioner in the same manner.

The window kit is designed for most standard vertical and horizontal windows. You may need to improvise for certain window types.

• For Horizontal Windows: The window slider kit has a minimum length of 27-1/2″ (70cm) and a maximum of 48″ (122cm).

• For Vertical Windows: The window slider kit has a minimum height of 27-1/2″ (70cm) and a maximum of 48″ (122cm).

Instruction: Use one screw to fix installation board II to board I. After adjusting the kit to your window size, install the air exhaust adapter from the hose into the opening on the window kit.

The air exhaust hose is 20cm-160cm in length. For maximum energy efficiency, it is suggested that the hose be as short as possible. Pay attention to the following points:

1. Try to avoid bending the hose.

2. Try to avoid bending the hose near the exhaust air outlet. The bending point should be at least 50cm away from the exhaust air outlet.

3. Keep the entire air exhaust hose smooth, especially at the bending points. Avoid any abrupt, steep-angled bends.

The ARCTIC WIND AP10018 has an interchangeable outlet function which allows cooling air to be blown to an outdoor or other desired place. To use this function:

1. Remove the air outlet and the exhaust air outlet from the unit.

2. Interchange their locations.

3. Install them back onto the unit.

Note: Regardless of the connection mode, other air conditioning patterns are recommended when the ambient temperature is either below 18°C (65°F) or above 35°C (95°F).
