The AQQA AQ157 Electric Gravel Cleaner has the following features:

Follow these steps to assemble your AQQA AQ157:

Step 1: Turn and pull out the inside tube, and then put the wire cord with a plastic screw through into the extension tube. Screw it in well.

Step 2: Install the filter cup with filter sponge or outlet pipe.

Step 3: Install the tools for your desired function.

The AQQA AQ157 can be used in several modes for different cleaning tasks:

Cleaning without exchanging water: Use the filter bag attachment for sand washing, dirt suction, and general cleaning without removing water from the tank.

Cleaning with water exchange: Use the bellows (hose) attachment for pumping water out of the tank while washing sand and absorbing stool and dirt.

Water circulation and filtration: Set up the cleaner with the suction base and filter cup to circulate and filter the tank water. This can also be used for low water level spraying.

Adding water: The powerful pump can be used to easily add water to the tank from a bucket.

Spot cleaning: Use the appropriate attachment to suck up stool and dirt while pumping water out.

1. Place the water pump in the fish tank, ensuring it is fully submerged. Then, connect the power supply and turn on the power switch.

2. For a fish tank with sand at the bottom, it is recommended not to place the water pump directly on the sand when it first turns on the power. This prevents sand from being sucked into the pump due to the high suction force during startup.

3. When cleaning the sand at the bottom, it is recommended to lift the cleaner up and down, allowing the sand in the sand washing cup to move up and down so as to clean the fish stool, food residue, and other dirt hidden in the sand.

It is recommended to clean and maintain the water pump after use to ensure it stays in good condition and runs efficiently for a long time. The pump can be disassembled for thorough cleaning of the internal components, including the impeller.

1. Disconnect the power supply before operating the water pump.

2. Please do not let the pump run dry.

3. When pumping water, please completely enter the pump into the water so that the pump body is properly cooled.

4. Please use the power cord accessories provided and specified by the manufacturer.

5. Please place the water changer safely to prevent the machine from being damaged by heavy objects.

6. Please use the socket matching with the machine to prevent the plug deformation caused by the mismatch of the socket.

7. The water level should exceed the gray part of the pump. No tools can be installed to pump the lower water level. The water level should be low under, it can be used at an Angle of 85°.

8. Male and female plugs and power switches are prohibited from diving to avoid the risk of electric shock.

To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be observed including the following:

1. Read and follow this user manual strictly.

2. DANGER-To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken since water is employed in the use of aquarium equipment. Do not attempt to repair the cleaner yourself. For the following situations, return it to an authorized service facility or discard it:

A. If the cleaner shows any sign of abnormal water leakage or if the RCD (or GFCI) trips, unplug from power and remove the cleaner from water.

B. Examine the cleaner after installation. Do not plug it in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet.

C. Do not operate the cleaner if it has a damaged cord or plug, is malfunctioning, or has been dropped or damaged. The power cord cannot be replaced; if damaged, the cleaner must be discarded.

D. To avoid the plug getting wet, position the aquarium stand and tank to one side of a wall-mounted outlet. Arrange a “drip loop” for the cord, which is the part of the cord below the level of the outlet, to prevent water from dripping onto the outlet. If the plug or outlet gets wet, DO NOT unplug the cord. First, disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power, then unplug and check for water in the outlet.

3. Close supervision is necessary when the gravel cleaner is used near children.

4. This cleaner is not for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised.

5. To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts.

6. Always unplug the cleaner when not in use, before changing parts, and before maintenance or placing hands in water. Grasp the plug to pull from the outlet; never yank the cord.

7. Do not use the cleaner for other than its intended use. Using attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may be unsafe.

8. Do not install or store the cleaner where it will be exposed to weather or temperatures below freezing. It is suitable for water temperatures of 40-95°F (4.5-35°C).

9. Do not submerge more than 3ft of water depth.

10. Do not run dry or out of water. Keep the cleaner completely submerged.

11. Only use in freshwater or saltwater; do not use in other liquids.

12. Make sure the cleaner is securely installed before operating.

13. Read and observe all important notices on the cleaner.

14. If an extension cord is necessary, use one with a proper rating (amperes or watts) to avoid overheating. Arrange it to prevent tripping.

15. The cleaner is intended FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. Do not mount it in a way that blocks top vents, which are necessary to prevent overheating.

16. All cleaners are water tested before shipment. If you find a little water in your new cleaner, it is from the testing process.

17. SAVE THIS USER MANUAL.
