The APEMAN A77 camera features several buttons, indicators, and ports for operation. The layout is as follows:

Front and Top:

To charge your APEMAN A77, connect one end of the included micro-USB cable to a power adapter or a USB charging port and the other end to the micro-USB port on the camera. The camera will automatically turn on when connected to power. For more effective charging, turn the camera off. The red charging indicator light will remain on while charging and will turn off when the camera is fully charged. Charging with a power adapter (not included) takes approximately 2 hours.

To turn the APEMAN A77 camera on or off, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. When the camera turns on, the two LED status indicators will light up, and the display will turn on.

The APEMAN A77 requires a micro SD card to function as it has no internal storage. Use a high-quality, branded Class 10+ micro SD card with a maximum supported capacity of 64GB. Insert the card into the micro SD card slot. Before first use, you must format the card within the camera’s system settings. Be aware that formatting will permanently erase all data on the card.

After turning the camera on, you can press the mode button to cycle through the main video and photo modes. To access different recording modes, playback mode, or settings mode, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds. This will bring up a menu where you can choose your desired mode.

To record a video in the standard Video Mode:

1. Press the OK button to start or end recording.

2. To turn audio recording on or off, press and hold the down button for 2 seconds.

To access video settings:

1. Press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, then press the down button twice to enter the video settings menu.

2. Here you can adjust settings like Resolution, White Balance, Exposure, Metering mode, Sharpness, Video quality, Image Stabilization (IS), Time watermark, and Audio recording.

3. Available resolutions include: 4K(30fps), 2.7K(30fps), 1080p(120fps), 1080p(60fps), 1080p(30fps), 720p(240fps), 720p(120fps), 720p(60fps), and 720p(30fps).

4. After changing settings, press the mode button twice to navigate to the Exit icon, then press the OK button to exit settings.

In Slowly Video Mode, the video appears to move more slowly when replayed at normal speed. To use this mode:

• Press the OK button to start or end recording.

• To change settings, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, then press the down button twice to enter the slowly video settings menu. You can adjust Slow motion speed and resolution, White Balance, Exposure, Metering mode, Sharpness, and Video quality.

• Slow motion speed and resolution options are: 1080P 4X, 1080P 2X, 720P 8X, and 720P 4X.

• After changing settings, press the mode button twice to go to the Exit icon, then press the OK button to exit.

In Loop Recording Mode, the recorded video will be segmented into files of a set duration. When the SD card is full, the camera will overwrite the oldest files to continue recording. To use this mode:

• Press the OK button to start or end recording.

• Press and hold the down button for 2 seconds to turn audio recording on or off.

• To access settings, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, then press the down button twice. You can adjust Resolution, Video length, White Balance, Exposure, Metering mode, Sharpness, Video quality, ISO, Time watermark, and Audio recording.

• Video length can be set to 2min, 3min, or 5min.

• After changing settings, press the mode button twice to go to the Exit icon and press OK to exit.

In Time-lapse Video Mode, the camera captures frames at a set interval and then plays them back at a normal speed, creating a fast-motion effect. To use this mode:

• Press the OK button to start or end recording.

• To change settings, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, then press the down button twice. You can adjust Resolution, Interval, White Balance, Exposure, Video length, Metering mode, Sharpness, Video quality, and ISO.

• Resolution options are 4K, 2.7K, 1080P, or 720P.

• Interval options are 0.5s, 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s, 30s, or 60s.

• Video length options are Unlimited, 6s, 8s, 10s, 20s, 30s, 60s, or 120s.

• After changing settings, press the mode button twice to navigate to the Exit icon and press OK to exit.

In Photo Mode, press the OK button to take a single photo.

To access photo settings:

1. Press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, then press the down button twice to enter the photo settings menu.

2. Here you can adjust Resolution, White Balance, Exposure, Metering mode, Sharpness, Long Exposure, ISO, and Time watermark.

3. Available resolutions are 20MP, 16MP, 13MP, and 8MP.

4. After changing settings, press the mode button twice to navigate to the Exit icon, then press the OK button to exit.

In Auto-Timer Mode, the camera will continuously take a photo after a time interval that you set. To use this mode:

• Press the OK button to start taking photos.

• To change settings, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, then press the down button twice. You can adjust Resolution, Interval, White Balance, Exposure, Metering mode, Sharpness, ISO, and Time watermark.

• Resolution options are 20MP, 16MP, 13MP, or 8MP.

• After adjusting settings, press the mode button twice to select the Exit icon and press OK to save and exit.

Burst Photo Mode allows you to take several pictures in a row with a single press of the OK button.

• To take a burst of photos, press the OK button once.

• To change settings, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, then press the down button twice. You can adjust Resolution, Photo Frequency, White Balance, Exposure, Metering mode, Sharpness, ISO, and Time watermark.

• Resolution options are 20MP, 16MP, 13MP, or 8MP.

• Frequency options are 3 photos/second (3P/s), 5 photos/second (5P/s), or 10 photos/second (10P/s).

• After adjusting settings, press the mode button twice to select the Exit icon and press OK to save and exit.

In Timer Mode, the camera will take a single photo after a set countdown delay when you press the OK button.

• Press the OK button to start the countdown and take a photo.

• To change settings, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, then press the down button twice. You can adjust Resolution, Countdown, White Balance, Exposure, Metering mode, Sharpness, ISO, and Time watermark.

• Resolution options are 20MP, 16MP, 13MP, or 8MP.

• Countdown options are 3s, 5s, 10s, or 20s.

• After adjusting settings, press the mode button twice to select the Exit icon and press OK to save and exit.

To enter Playback Mode:

1. From any recording mode, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds.

2. Press the down button once and then the OK button to enter playback mode.

Navigating in Playback Mode:

• Use the up/down buttons to select a picture or video.

• For videos, press the OK button to play/pause. Use the up/down buttons to rewind/fast-forward.

Deleting Files:

• To delete a file, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds until a delete confirmation appears.

• Use the up/down buttons to select ‘Confirm’ and press the OK button to delete the file. The camera will then move to the next file.

To exit Playback Mode and return to recording mode, press the mode button.

1. In any recording mode, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, then press the down button twice and the OK button to enter settings mode.

2. This will initially take you to the recording mode settings. Press the mode button to switch to the system settings.

3. Use the up/down buttons to highlight an individual setting and press the OK button to enter it. Press OK again to confirm your choice.

4. To exit settings, press the mode button to move down to the Exit icon and press the OK button.

Available system settings include:

• Image Rotation: On/Off.

• Wi-Fi: On/Off.

• Light Source Frequency: Auto/50Hz/60Hz.

• LED Indicator: On/Off.

• Auto Screen Saver: Off/30s/1min/2mins. The screen will go black after a set period of inactivity, but the camera remains on.

• Auto Power Off: Off/3mins/5mins/10mins. The camera will shut down completely after a set period of inactivity.

• Beep sound: High/Middle/Low/Off.

• Language: Select your preferred language.

• Time Format: YYYY/MM/DD, MM/DD/YYYY, DD-MM-YYYY.

• Time Set: Use UP/Down buttons to change values, OK button to move to the next item, and mode button to save and exit.

• Date Set: Use UP/Down buttons to change values, OK button to move to the next item, and mode button to save and exit.

• Format: Format/Cancel. This will erase all data on the memory card.

• Factory Reset: Confirm/Cancel. This restores all camera settings to their default values.

The APEMAN A77 does not have a built-in battery to maintain the time and date settings. Therefore, if the main battery is removed or runs out of power, the camera’s time and date will be reset. You will need to reset the time and date in the system settings the next time you power on the camera.

You can control your APEMAN A77 wirelessly by downloading the “DV KING 4K” app on your mobile device. The app is available on the App Store for iOS devices (7.1 or later) and Google Play for Android devices (4.3 or later). Once the app is installed and connected to the camera via Wi-Fi, you can view the camera’s live picture, control its functions, and download recordings to your phone.

1. Turn on the camera.

2. Press and hold the up button for 2 seconds to turn on the camera’s Wi-Fi.

3. On your phone, turn on Wi-Fi and scan for available networks.

4. Find and connect to the network named “ActionCam****”.

5. When prompted, enter the Wi-Fi password: 1234567890

6. Open the “DV KING 4K” app on your phone to start controlling the camera.

7. To turn off Wi-Fi and disconnect, press the up button on the camera again.

Note:

• When using your phone to operate the camera, the camera’s own screen will stay off.

• The camera can only connect to one device at a time.

• Using the Wi-Fi connection consumes more battery power, so avoid using it when the camera’s battery is low.

The remote control allows you to take photos or record videos wirelessly. Press the photo button (red) or video button (gray) to capture content. The remote operates in the camera’s current mode or will switch to the standard photo or video mode to capture.

If the remote’s battery needs to be replaced after long use, unscrew the four small screws on the back of the case and replace the battery with a new CR2025 cell battery.

The APEMAN A77 comes with a large selection of mount parts and accessories for a wide variety of configurations. You can mount the camera on bicycles, vehicles, helmets, clothing, and more. You can arrange and use the parts according to your specific situation and desired use.

• Keep the camera away from liquids (unless it is in the waterproof case), extreme heat, and strong magnetic fields.

• Ensure the camera is mounted safely and securely to prevent accidents or damage.

• Always be aware of your surroundings and safety when using the camera.

• Wipe any dust and water off the camera after each use.

• Gently clean the camera lens with the included lens-cleaning cloth when needed.

• Store the camera out of the waterproof case.

• Regularly back up your videos and photos to protect against file corruption or loss due to SD card issues or extreme conditions.

If the APEMAN A77 crashes or becomes unresponsive, you can reset it by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. You can also try leaving it turned off for a short time to allow it to cool down before using it again.
