Please observe the following precautions when using your AH-C560R headphones:

• To avoid damaging your hearing, do not listen with the headphones at loud volumes for extended periods.

• Do not turn the volume to the maximum when you start playback. Begin at a low volume and increase it gradually to a comfortable level.

• When storing the AH-C560R, avoid locations subject to direct sunlight, high temperatures and humidity, or excessive dust.

• When cleaning the AH-C560R, wipe the surface with a soft cloth. Do not use solvents like benzene or thinner, as they can damage the surface finish.

• Stop using the headphones immediately if you experience skin irritation or other problems.

The AH-C560R ear pieces are made of silicon rubber. The Regular Type material has a sound-dampening effect for a good seal. The ear pieces will deteriorate over time from use and storage. Replace them if they lose their fit.

To replace the ear pieces on your AH-C560R, please follow these steps:

1. Grasp the tip of the ear piece and remove it by twisting and pulling it off the headphone body.

2. Choose the correct size ear piece and attach it to the headphone.

3. Check that the ear piece is securely attached. If it is loose, it could detach and get stuck in your ear.

Be careful not to pinch your nails when performing this procedure. Do not use excessive force, as this could damage the ear piece.

To properly fit your AH-C560R headphones:

1. Insert the ear pieces deeply into your ears.

2. Adjust the slider up or down to hold the cords in place. For over-the-ear use, attach the slider so it is positioned at the back of your neck.

3. If the fit is not ideal, try a different size ear piece (S, M, or L) to match the shape of your ear canal.

To use the AH-C560R, first check the markings on the headphones. The left side is marked “L” and the right side is marked “R”. Insert them into the correct ears. The remote control unit with the built-in microphone allows you to operate music functions and handle phone calls.

The button functions are as follows:

The remote and mic of the AH-C560R are supported by the following Apple devices:

• iPhone 3GS

• iPod nano (4th generation and 5th generation)

• iPod classic (120GB and 160GB)

• iPod touch (2nd generation)

• iPod shuffle (3rd generation)

• iPad

The remote is also supported by the iPod nano (4th generation). Audio is supported by all iPod models. The latest iPod software is required. Compatibility with Apple products not listed is not guaranteed.

To ensure safe use of your AH-C560R, please follow these precautions:

• To prevent hearing damage, avoid using headphones at such a high volume that it will damage your ears.

• Check the volume level when starting to use the headphones and do not raise the volume abruptly. A loud burst of sound can damage your ears.

• Do not use headphones while driving a bicycle, motorcycle or car. This could lead to a traffic accident.

• Do not disassemble, modify or attempt to repair the headphones.

• Be sure to consult your dealer if you experience issues such as rashes on your skin.

To prevent damage to your AH-C560R headphones, please follow these handling guidelines:

• When disconnecting the cable, be sure to pull on the plug, not the cable, as this can result in very dangerous wire breakage.

• Do not put the cord around your neck when using the headphones. This can lead to an accident.

• Do not allow the headphones to be exposed to water or moisture.

• As a portable device, be careful not to hang the headphones. It could catch on something and cause an accident or breakage.

• Do not allow a portable device to hang from the headphones if you carry it in your pocket or a bag.

• These headphones come into contact with your skin. People with sensitive skin should be careful. Consult a doctor if you have an issue with your skin.

• If the ear pads get dirty, stop using them. Contact a Denon Authorized Service Agent for replacement.

• If any foreign matter like ear wax from the user’s ears or other small particles enter the inside of the unit, they may cause a change in the sound quality.
