1. Connect a source (Blu-Ray Player, game console, A/V Receiver, Cable or Satellite Receiver, etc.) to the HDMI input on the Transmitting base unit.

2. Connect a display (HDTV, HD Projector, etc.) to the HDMI output on the Receiving unit.

3. Connect a single CAT5e/6 cable (up to 164 ft/50M) between the output of the Transmitting base unit and the input of the Receiving unit.

4. Connect power to the Transmitting base unit using the included power supply.

The EDID (Extended Display Information Data) switch on the A-NEUVIDEO ANI-0104POE allows you to manage the video and audio capabilities that the transmitter reports to your source device. This helps ensure compatibility and a stable “handshake” between the source and your displays.

MANUAL EDID LEARNING MODE

When you switch to any number from “0-8”, the Transmitter will set a fixed EDID to the source, forcing a specific resolution and audio format.

AUTO EDID LEARNING MODE

When you switch to “9”, the Transmitter will copy the EDID from the display connected to the HDMI LOOP output and present that information to the source device.

ATTENTION: Please confirm that the extender is working normally before modifying the EDID. When you want to modify the EDID, change the EDID setting to the corresponding number first and then power cycle the Transmitter.

This table shows the EDID settings available on the A-NEUVIDEO ANI-0104POE transmitter.

If you see a flickering or blinking image on the display, adjust the EQ switch on the receiver to improve the cable skew. MAX stands for the strongest HDMI signal level for the longest possible transmission length. MIN stands for the weakest HDMI signal level for short transmission length. Adjust the signal level from MIN to MAX until the desired video quality is displayed. Adjustments can be made with the system installed and powered on. Allow approximately 4 minutes between each adjustment.

Please note the following:

• EQ settings are Output port specific and do not transfer to other Output ports.

• If you have a good video/audio signal on one Output port and decide to move the CAT cable to a different Output port, you may have to repeat the EQ setup procedure.

• If you change CAT cables or change receivers, you may need to repeat the EQ setup procedure.

The following table provides approximate EQ settings based on the length of the CAT5e/6 cable. Use these as a starting point for adjustment.

The Wideband IR feature allows you to control a local source device (like a Blu-ray or DVD player) from a remote location.

Setup Steps:

1. IR RECEIVER (RX): Plug the IR Receiver into the IR RX port of the receiver unit. Place the IR receiver at or near the display where you will be using the remote control.

2. IR BLASTER (TX): Plug the IR Blaster into the IR TX port of the transmitter unit. Place the blaster in front of the IR eye of the source device you wish to control.

With the transmitter and receiver connected via a CAT5e/6 cable, you can now use your source device’s remote control at the display location to operate the source.

Please follow these basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury:

• Read all instructions before operating your equipment and retain them for future reference.

• To reduce the risk of fire, do not spill water or other liquids on or into the unit, and do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.

• Make sure power outlets conform to the power requirements listed on the back of the unit.

• Use only the supplied power supply unit (PSU). Do not use the PSU if it is damaged.

• Route power supply cords so they are not likely to be walked on or pinched.

• Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents or aerosol cleaners. Dust with a clean dry cloth.

• Do not force any connections. They should all connect easily.

• Always operate the unit with the AC ground wire connected to the electrical system ground.

• Turn the power off and disconnect the unit from AC current before making connections.

• Install the unit in a cool, dry place, away from sources of excessive heat, vibration, dust, moisture, and cold.

• Do not block any vents or openings in the unit housing. Allow for sufficient space for air to circulate around the unit.

• Never push any object through openings or empty slots in the unit.

• When moving the unit, disconnect input ports first, then the power cable, and finally other interconnecting cables.

• Unplug the power cord when the unit is left unused for a long period of time.

• Save the original carton and packing material for potential shipping needs.
