How do I turn the 8BITDO PRO 3 on or off?
To operate the power on your 8BITDO PRO 3, please follow these instructions:
Turn on: Press the start button to turn on the gamepad.
Turn off: Hold the start button for 3 seconds to turn off the gamepad.
Forced shutdown: Hold the start button for 8 seconds to force shutdown the gamepad.
How do I connect the 8BITDO PRO 3 to a Windows device?
Your Windows device must be running Windows 10 (1903) or above.
Wireless Connection (2.4G)
1. Turn the Mode switch to the S/X position.
2. Press the start button to turn on the gamepad.
3. Connect the 2.4G adapter to the USB port of your Windows device. The Status LED will remain solid to indicate a successful connection.
Wired Connection
1. Turn the Mode switch to the S/X position.
2. Connect the gamepad to your Windows device via a USB cable and wait until the gamepad is successfully recognized by the device.
How do I connect the 8BITDO PRO 3 to a Nintendo Switch?
Your Switch system must be version 3.0.0 or above. NFC scanning, IR camera, HD rumble, and notification LED are not supported.
Bluetooth Connection
1. Turn the Mode switch to the S position.
2. Press the start button to turn on the gamepad.
3. Hold the Pair button for 3 seconds to enter its pairing mode. The Status LED will start to roll side to side. (This is required for the very first time only).
4. Go to your Switch Home Page, click on [Controllers], then click on [Change Grip/Order]. The Status LED will remain solid to indicate a successful connection.
Wireless Connection (2.4G)
Please ensure the [Pro Controller Wired Communication] is enabled in the Switch system settings.
1. Turn the Mode switch to the S/X position.
2. Press the start button to turn on the gamepad.
3. Connect the 2.4G adapter to your Switch device’s USB port. The Status LED will remain solid to indicate a successful connection.
Wired Connection
Please ensure the [Pro Controller Wired Communication] is enabled in the Switch system settings.

How do I connect the 8BITDO PRO 3 to an Android device?
Your Android device must be running Android 9.0 or above.
Bluetooth Connection
1. Turn the Mode switch to the D position.
2. Press the start button to turn on the gamepad.
3. Hold the Pair button for 3 seconds to enter its pairing mode. The Status LED will start to roll side to side. (This is required for the very first time only).
4. Go to your Android device’s [Bluetooth Setting] and turn it on. Pair with [8BitDo Pro 3]. The Status LED will remain solid to indicate a successful connection.
Wired Connection
OTG support is required on your Android device. Please contact your manufacturer for more information.

How do I use the Turbo Function on the 8BITDO PRO 3?
To set Turbo: Press and hold the button you want to set to turbo, then press the Star button to activate/deactivate the turbo function.
To set Auto Turbo: Press the button you want to set to auto turbo plus the Star button twice.
Please note the following:
• D-pad, Home button, L3/L4 buttons, R3/R4 buttons, and PL/PR buttons are not supported for turbo.
• The turbo settings will not be saved permanently and will revert to default settings after the gamepad is powered off or disconnected.
How do I configure the L4/R4/PL/PR buttons on the 8BITDO PRO 3?
Single or multiple buttons on the gamepad can be mapped to the L4/R4/PL/PR buttons.
To map a button: Hold the L4/R4/PL/PR button you wish to configure, then press the button (or buttons) you want to map to it, then press the Star button.
To unmap a button: Hold the L4/R4/PL/PR button you wish to clear and press the Star button.
Please note the following:
• L3/R3 buttons are not supported for mapping.
• The Home LED will blink continuously when the mapped button is pressed.
