To ensure safe operation of the ZOJIRUSHI SF-CC18, please follow these guidelines:

Keep the bottle out of reach of infants and small children to prevent risks of scalding or injury.

Always clean the bottle thoroughly after use to avoid malfunctions like rusting, perforation, or contents spoiling.

Always close the Stopper tightly to prevent beverages from spilling and ensure the Spout is closed after pouring.

Do not use the bottle if it loses its heat retention properties, as the outside may become very hot when hot beverages are poured inside.

Consume beverages within the same day to prevent spoiling. Long-term storage can produce gas that increases internal pressure, potentially causing the Stopper to burst or leak.

Do not place cans, bottles, or other items inside the Main Body, as they may deform or damage the unit.

Do not remove the sticker on the bottom of the Main Body, as this can cause rusting or perforation.

Do not drink out of the bottle while driving to avoid scalds, stains, or accidents caused by distraction.

Do not use the product for purposes other than holding and keeping beverages hot or cold.

Do not heat the bottle in a microwave.

Do not carry the bottle by the Cup or Stopper, as dropping it may be dangerous.

Do not disassemble the Main Body.

When filling the ZOJIRUSHI SF-CC18, you must leave 1cm (1/2-inch) of room at the top. This space is necessary because contents may overflow when placing the Stopper, or the Spout may become difficult to open. Filling too high can also cause beverages to get caught in the Stopper and leak out. The beverage level should be approximately 1cm below the ridge where the Stopper mechanism sits.

Please avoid filling the ZOJIRUSHI SF-CC18 with the following items:

Dry ice and carbonated drinks: These can cause pressure to build up, making the Spout difficult to open or causing the Stopper or Cup to burst.

Liquids containing salt, such as soup: Although the liner is made of 18/8 stainless steel and is nonstick coated, salt may cause rust resulting in loss of thermal insulation.

Dairy products and fruit juice: If left inside for a long period, contents may spoil and produce gas that may cause the Stopper to burst.

Fruit pulp and tea leaves: These may become caught in the Stopper and cause contents to spill.

Do not leave a tea bag inside when closing the Stopper, as the tea bag may swell and cause leaks.

When using the ZOJIRUSHI SF-CC18 for hot drinks, follow these procedures:

Tilt the product slowly when pouring hot beverages. Pouring too quickly may cause scalds.

Do not shake the bottle, as this can cause scalds or injuries.

Always use the Cup when drinking hot beverages. Never drink directly out of the bottle.

Be aware that steam may burst out when the Stopper Button is pressed if the bottle is filled with hot beverages. To prevent this, when filling with hot liquids, close the Stopper while keeping the Spout open, and wait about 20 seconds before closing it.

If the Stopper becomes difficult to remove when filled with hot beverages, press the Button to open the Spout to release pressure before attempting to remove the Stopper.

If your model includes a carrying strap, adhere to the following safety precautions:

Do not wrap the carrying strap around your neck, as this may cause a suffocation hazard.

Do not swing the bottle while holding the carrying strap or pull on the strap forcefully, as this may cause injuries or damage.

Do not let the carrying strap come in direct contact with your bare skin, as it may chafe against the skin and cause injury.

Follow these steps to clean the ZOJIRUSHI SF-CC18 after each use:

Outside Main Body: Wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge. Rinse and shake a few times, then wipe dry. Remove carrying straps before washing.

Cup and Stopper: Wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge with a handle. Rinse and wipe moisture out to dry. Detach and wash gaskets after each use and remember to reattach them.

Inside Main Body: Fill with warm water, close the Stopper, and pour the water out through the Spout several times. Remove the Stopper and wash the interior with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge with a handle. Rinse and wipe moisture out to dry.

Carrying Strap: Soak a soft cloth in warm water and dishwashing soap, wring well, and wipe the strap clean.

Notes for handling: Do not soak the bottle. Do not use paint thinner, benzine, metal wire scrub brushes, or abrasive cleansers. Do not use chlorine type bleach. Do not use a dishwasher or dish-dryer. Do not boil to sanitize.

To remove rust spots or water stains caused by impurities in the water: Fill the bottle with hot water mixed with 10% vinegar. Let it stand for 30 minutes to one hour without attaching the Stopper, then wash the interior thoroughly.

To remove coffee and tea stains: It is recommended to use Zojirushi cleaning detergent (SB-ZA01/SB-ZA01E, sold separately). Always remove the Stopper when using this cleaning detergent.

After pouring, stand the bottle upright and close the Spout. Closing the Spout while the bottle is tilted may cause beverages to become caught in the Stopper and leak out later. Follow these precautions:

Step 1. After pouring, stand the bottle upright and wait 2 to 3 seconds before closing the Spout.

Step 2. Wipe off any excess liquids on the Cup before closing.

Step 3. Store the bottle upright when carrying inside bags to prevent beverages from spilling.

The rattling noise that may be heard when the ZOJIRUSHI SF-CC18 is shaken comes from the copper or aluminum foil used in the vacuum insulation. This foil is intended to increase heat and cold retention and does not indicate a malfunction.

Maintenance of the Stopper and Gasket is vital for proper operation:

Always make sure the Stopper Gasket and Spout Gasket are attached. Failure to do so can result in leaks and scalding.

Always clean the Stopper and Stopper Gasket thoroughly after use to prevent decay, mold, odor, or discoloration.

After washing, shake the Stopper several times to remove any water left inside and wipe it dry. Water left inside may drip out later.

With the Stopper attached, turn the bottle upside down to check for leaks before use.

Check the condition of the Stopper and Stopper Gasket about once a year. If parts become damaged or the surface becomes rough, please replace them for optimum performance.
