What are the main features of the YAMAHA CLAVINOVA CLP- S408?

The YAMAHA CLAVINOVA CLP- S408 features several advanced technologies for a realistic piano experience:

Real Grand Expression (RGE) Sound Engine: This provides the playing response and expressive capability of a concert grand piano. It offers smooth tonal changes that respond to your touch and includes a Smooth Release function for clear staccato notes and lingering resonance.

NW (Natural Wood) keyboard with synthetic ivory keytops and Linear Graded Hammer: The CLP-S408 uses natural wood for the inside of the white keys (NW keyboard) and features Linear Graded Hammer, where the hammer weight of all keys is different, just like an acoustic piano. The synthetic ivory keytops simulate the feel of real ivory, offering a less slippery surface and smooth key movement. These features provide a heavier weighted touch that is closer in feel to a grand piano.

Audio Playing and Recording from a USB Flash Memory: You can play back audio files (.wav) from a USB storage device on the instrument. You can also record your performance as audio data to a USB flash memory device, which can then be transferred to a computer and listened to on portable music players.

Sostenuto (Center) Pedal: If you play a note or chord and then press this pedal, only those notes will be sustained as long as the pedal is held. Any subsequent notes played will not be sustained.

Soft (Left) Pedal: This pedal reduces the volume and slightly changes the timbre of notes played while the pedal is pressed. It does not affect notes that are already sounding.

The center and left pedals can also be assigned to the song start/pause function in the Function mode.
