When using the XPOWER X-3400A, you must read and save the following instructions to avoid hazards such as injury, fire, or electrical shock. Failure to follow these instructions may damage the unit and void the warranty.

• Before operating, remove all packaging material and check for any damage that may have occurred during shipping or any missing items.

• Check household power supply to ensure it matches the appliance’s specification.

• DO NOT operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard the fan or return it to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.

• Use only on GFCI protected receptacles. Please contact a qualified electrician for verification and/or installation of a GFCI receptacle if necessary.

• DO NOT run the cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. DO NOT route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from the traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.

• The XPOWER X-3400A is suitable for use with a solid-state speed control.

• DO NOT touch this appliance or the plug with wet hands or while standing in water.

• DO NOT operate the appliance in any pooled water.

• DO NOT use the product in areas where gasoline, paint, or other flammable goods and objects are used or stored.

• DO NOT insert or allow objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may damage the appliance and void the warranty.

• DO NOT cover the air inlet or outlet on the appliance.

• DO NOT direct the airflow at human faces or bodies.

• DO NOT allow children to play with this appliance.

• This is an AUTOMATICALLY OPERATED DEVICE – To reduce the risk of injury, disconnect from the power supply before servicing.

• Remove the power cord from the electrical receptacle by grasping and pulling on the power cord plug-end only; DO NOT pull the cord directly.

• DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions of this appliance, as this may cause danger and void the warranty.

• If the appliance is damaged or it malfunctions, DO NOT continue to use it. Unplug the product from the electrical outlet and refer to the troubleshooting guide.

• Store in a dry area, away from exposure to sunlight, extreme temperature and humidity, or other extreme environments, when not in use.

• DO NOT stack more than five units of this appliance.

The XPOWER X-3400A uses a three-stage filtration system. The filter sequence is as follows:

• First Stage Filter: NFS16

• Second Stage Filter: PF16

• Third Stage Filter: HEPA 50

For best results with your XPOWER X-3400A, consider the following when selecting a location:

• Enclosed Area: For optimal efficiency and longer filter lifespan, operate the Air Scrubber in an enclosed area. Keep all doors, windows, and other outside entrances to the room closed.

• Air Circulation: It’s suggested to have constant and efficient air circulation inside your working area. This can be achieved with XPOWER Air Mover combinations.

• Environment Humidity: The Air Scrubber should not be operated in an environment with a high relative humidity level, as this could cause blockage and damage to filters.

• Power Cord: The power cord is 13 feet (4.0 meters) long. Select a location where the power cord can reach the power source.

• Inlet and Outlet Orientation: Pay attention to the orientation of the air inlet and outlet. Make sure the airflow will not affect any object nearby the Air Scrubber.

• IMPORTANT: The effectiveness of the Air Scrubber can be influenced by various factors. For larger enclosed areas, installing multiple Air Scrubbers may be necessary.

To set up intake ducting on your XPOWER X-3400A, please follow these steps:

1. Turn off the machine.

2. Remove the foam cover from the intake.

3. Attach the ducting hose to the intake.

To attach an exhaust ducting hose to your XPOWER X-3400A:

1. Turn off the machine.

2. Attach the ducting hose to the exhaust outlet.

The XPOWER X-3400A is equipped with a variable speed control.

• To turn the Air Scrubber OFF, turn the dial to the “OFF” position.

• To turn the Air Scrubber ON, turn the dial to any speed position.

• Turn the dial clockwise to set the desired speed. “MAX” indicates the highest speed, and “MIN” indicates the lowest speed.

The Filter Clean/Change Light indicates that the filters have exceeded their maximum particle capacity, and the filtration efficiency has diminished. When this light illuminates, you should clean or replace the filters.

The foam cover on the XPOWER X-3400A must be managed correctly for proper operation.

• Before use, you must take off the foam cover. If you operate the machine with the foam cover on, it will cause abnormal motor operation and failure.

• After use, please put the foam cover back on for storage and transport.

The XPOWER X-3400A features a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protected additional electrical receptacle, also known as a daisy chain feature. Here’s how to use it:

• You can plug other appliances into the additional electrical receptacles. These will operate whether the Air Scrubber is on or off. However, the total amperage must be lower than the amperage instructed on the unit.

• Total Output: 12 AMPS MAX with the unit OFF, 8.5 AMPS MAX with the unit ON.

• If the Air Scrubber or the plugged-in appliance stops working, press the Circuit Reset Button to reset the circuit.

• A ground fault is an inadvertent contact between an energized conductor and ground or the equipment frame. If a ground fault occurs, the GFCI will immediately interrupt the power connection to the additional receptacle.

WARNING: Risk of electric shock. You should test the GFCI before each use.

• To test the GFCI, press the Test Button and then press the GFCI Reset Button. The Test Button should return to its unpressed position.

• If the Test Button does not react as described, consult the troubleshooting guide.

• Carry with Handle: Lift the Air Scrubber with the handle on the top of the housing.

• Stack in Carrier: You can stack up to 5 Air Scrubbers for transport.

Frequent maintenance is recommended for the XPOWER X-3400A. Always disconnect the unit from its power source before performing any maintenance or cleaning.

• When not in use, unplug the unit, remove all extensions, and cover the intake with the foam cover. Store the appliance in a dry and cool indoor place, out of reach of children.

• Use a damp cloth to wipe the surface of the housing. Do not clean the unit directly with water.

• Check if the grille covers are clean. Remove dirt or any other objects that could block the air inlet and air outlet.

• Do not stack more than five units of this appliance.

To unload the filters, open the filter cover by releasing the latch kit on top of the unit. You can then unload the filters from inside.

To ensure the best filtration efficiency, you should replace or clean the filters frequently or when the filter change light illuminates.

• Nylon Mesh Filters/Washable Filters (NFS16): These filters are washable with water. Use a vacuum or clean cloth to remove loose debris. Then, further clean the filter with water. Use a cloth to remove excess water from the filter and let it dry naturally in the air. If the filter clean/change light illuminates, you may need to clean the filter.

• Pleated Media Filters (PF16): This filter is not washable. Use a vacuum to remove loose debris. If the filter clean/change light still illuminates after cleaning, you may need to replace the filter.

• HEPA Filters (HEPA 50): This filter is not washable or reusable. Highly concentrated particles are captured by the HEPA filter, and cleaning this filter can be hazardous to human health and contaminate the nearby environment. You must replace the HEPA filter if all other filters are clean and the filter clean/change light still illuminates.

• When not in use for a long time, you should store the filters separately from the machine.

• Always clean the filters before storage. Place the filters in a sealed plastic bag and store it in a dry and cool indoor place.

WARNING: DISPOSAL OF FILTERS NO LONGER IN USE

The particles captured by a used filter can cause adverse human health effects and contaminate the nearby environment once the filter is exposed to the open air. Adequate personal protection equipment (PPE) is required during the whole process, for example, industry-approved masks, eye protectors, gloves, and coveralls. You should place the used filters in a sealed plastic bag before disposing. Follow local disposal regulations.

To ensure the best efficiency and lifespan, each filter must be reloaded in the correct position, sequence, and orientation.

• Filter Sequence: Filters must be loaded inside the Air Scrubber in the correct sequence (First Stage, Second Stage, etc.).

• Airflow Direction: On one side of each filter, there is a label with an arrow showing the airflow direction. When placing the filter, the side with the label should face up. The arrow on the label should point toward the blue machine housing.

• Last Stage Filter: On one side of the last stage filter, there is an EVA sealing pad around the frame. This filter must be loaded with the EVA side facing the machine housing. The EVA sealing pad ensures that all the air is filtered.

If your XPOWER X-3400A does not start, check the following possible causes and solutions:

• Possible Cause: No electricity.

• Solution: Check for power supply.

• Possible Cause: The power cord is not properly plugged in.

• Solution: Remove and reconnect the power cord.

• Possible Cause: The circuit breaker on the additional electrical receptacle (Daisy chain) trips.

• Solution: Remove all appliances on the additional electrical receptacle and press the circuit reset button.

If your XPOWER X-3400A is running but has low air movement, consider these causes:

• Possible Cause: Air outlet is blocked.

• Solution: Remove the blockage.

• Possible Cause: Filters are fully loaded. The filter change light illuminates.

• Solution: Clean or replace the loaded filters.

If there is no power to the additional electrical receptacle on your XPOWER X-3400A, here are the potential reasons:

• Possible Cause: The circuit breaker on the additional electrical receptacle (Daisy chain) trips.

• Solution: Remove all appliances on the additional electrical receptacle and press the circuit reset button.

• Possible Cause: A ground fault causes a power interrupt by the GFCI.

• Solution: Turn off and unplug the Air Scrubber. Remove all appliances on the additional electrical receptacle and press the GFCI reset button.

If the Test Button does not react as it should during a GFCI test, you should turn off and unplug the Air Scrubber. Remove all appliances connected to the additional electrical receptacle and press the GFCI reset button. If the problem persists, please refer to the troubleshooting guide for further instructions.
