Step 1. Pull the entry assistance lever on the top of the seatback to unlock the seatback.

Step 2. Tilt the seat forward until it locks.

Step 3. Pull the seat release strap and slide the seat forward.

Step 4. Carefully enter the third row seating area and guide the base of the seat back into place.

Step 5. Pull the seatback into place.

The ignition must be off and you must be carrying your vehicle key on your person. To open, move your foot and shin close to the middle of the bumper in a kicking motion, without contacting the bumper. To use Easy Close, perform the same kicking motion, wait for the beep to sound, and remove all vehicle keys from the area near the trunk lid. The trunk lid will then close automatically.

If you would like the trunk to stop opening at a lower angle, interrupt the opening process at the desired open position, which must be at least half open. Press and hold the button on the trunk lid until the emergency flashers start flashing and an audible signal is heard. To reset the opening angle, push the trunk lid all the way up by hand, then press and hold the button on the trunk lid until the emergency flashers start flashing and an audible signal is heard.

Locate the Cruise Control buttons on the left side of the multi-function steering wheel and press the button to activate the system. A speedometer icon will appear in the instrument cluster display. When you reach your cruising speed, press the SET button. To increase or decrease speed, use the plus or minus buttons.

Step 2. Using the vertical menu buttons on the steering wheel, scroll to Speed.

Step 3. Select Cruise Control in the instrument cluster display then press the OK button.

To cool off or warm up automatically, press the AUTO button to turn the system on. Adjust the driver temperature dial to your preferred setting. Press the SYNC button to synchronize the temperatures between the zones.

Step 1. Press the Max Defrost button. It is recommended to turn the temperature setting to HI for quickest defrost or defogging.

Step 2. The A/C function comes on automatically and it is recommended to leave A/C on to dry the air.

Step 3. When the windshield is clear, press the AUTO button.

Step 2. With the ignition on and the vehicle in Park, turn the Infotainment system on. Your vehicle Bluetooth system will be in discovery mode.

Step 3. From the Bluetooth menu on your phone, search for new devices and select VW BT XXXX, where XXXX represents the last four digits of the VIN.

Step 4. A connection request will appear on the Infotainment display.

Step 5. Press Connect on the Infotainment display.

Step 6. The Infotainment display will then show a PIN.

Step 7. Make sure the same PIN is displayed on your phone and press Yes on the Infotainment display, then press Pair on your phone.

Step 1. Once a call has been answered, use the Horizontal Menu buttons on the multi-function steering wheel to access the Phone menu in the instrument cluster display.

Step 2. Press the Vertical Arrow buttons on the right side multi-function steering wheel controls until Private appears in the display.

Step 3. To select, press the OK button on the multi-function steering wheel.

Step 1. Pair your phone to the VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN 2021 Infotainment system with Bluetooth.

Step 2. A prompt will display on the vehicle touchscreen asking if you want to use Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay.

Step 3. Select Apple CarPlay. If this is the first time, accept the confirmation on your iPhone.

Step 1. Ensure you are running the latest Android OS on your device and download Android Auto from the Google Play Store if necessary.

Step 2. Plug your Android phone into the USB port using a certified USB Cable.

Step 3. Press the App key on the touchscreen.

Step 4. Select Android Auto on the touchscreen. Ensure the phone is unlocked or pair your Android phone to your infotainment system Bluetooth connection, then select Use Android Auto in the pop-up.

Step 5. Select OK on the touchscreen for the data transfer prompt.

Step 6. Follow the instructions on your device to continue setup.

Step 7. Android Auto will appear on the Infotainment touchscreen once all the prompts have been accepted on your device.

Step 1. Turn the ignition ON.

Step 2. Press the CAR button on your touchscreen.

Step 3. Select Settings on the touchscreen.

Step 4. Select Tire settings.

Step 5. Select Set.

Step 6. Select Confirm to store.

To unlock, ensure you have your key fob with you, then slide your hand behind the driver or front passenger door handles and wait for the door to unlock. To unlock the entire vehicle, touch the unlocking sensor twice in a row. To lock the vehicle, ensure you have your key fob with you and touch your thumb to the lock depression on the handle.

With the hood closed and the ignition off, press and hold the windshield lever down. The wipers will move into the service position. You can then lift the wiper arms away from the windshield. Before driving, fold the wiper arms back onto the windshield, turn the ignition on, and press the wiper lever down briefly to move the wipers back to the park position.
