When installing the VIVITEK WM-3Z, please adhere to the following safety precautions:

1. Be sure this manual is completely understood before installation work.

2. Installation or dismounting of the projector from the projector wall mount must be carried out only by qualified service personnel (two or more).

3. Using products heavier than the maximum weight (Weight Capacity: <33lb) indicated may result in instability causing possible injury.

4. For safety reasons, check the strength of the wall before installation. If the wall is not strong enough, reinforce it sufficiently before installation.

5. Do not make alterations to the projector wall mount.

6. Do not install the projector wall mount on a wall subject to vibration or impact.

7. Adhere to projector environmental specifications pertaining to humidity and temperature.

8. Use the supplied accessories only. Use of accessories other than those supplied may result in damage to the projector wall mount.

9. When dismounting the projector from the projector wall mount, be sure to unplug the AC power cord and other connecting cables beforehand.

10. Do not hit or hang any heavy objects on the projector wall mount. If the projector wall mount is damaged, stop use and contact a qualified service person immediately.

11. Please install this apparatus only on the horizontal surface instead of the slanting one.

12. Manufacturer is not liable for any damages or injury caused by mishandling or improper installation.

The VIVITEK WM-3Z comes with the following accessories:

The wall plate must be aligned to the center of the screen. The bottom of the mounting plate should align with the top of the image based on the specific V-Offset required for your setup.

The following table outlines the projection image size and installation distances for 1080p projectors (DH765Z-UST & DH768Z-UST):

Note: 1080p Vertical Offset (V-Offset) can be calculated for different screen sizes beside the four above. The formula is: V-Offset = [screen width/2 (0.29)]

The bracket is suitable for concrete wall mounting. Follow these steps:

1. Ensure the concrete wall mounting thickness is a minimum of 4″ (100mm).

2. Drill holes into the concrete wall with a diameter of 10-11mm and a depth of greater than 55mm.

3. Use the Anchor bolt (B) and screw (M6 × 55) (A) for installation.

4. Reinforce the wall sufficiently before installation if it is not strong enough.

The bracket is suitable for wooden stud walls. Follow these steps:

1. Ensure dry-wall wall thickness is a minimum of 4.5″ (114mm) and gypsum board thickness is less than 0.59″ (15mm).

2. When installing on the wood stud wall, align the center of the wall mount plate with the center of the stud.

3. Use a 3mm drill bit for pilot holes.

4. Use screw (M6 × 55) only for installation. Do not use the anchor bolt.

To manage cables through the support arm:

1. Loosen the screws with the L3 allen wrench.

2. Pull out the support arm around 4″ (100mm).

3. Make power cable and signal cables go through the support arm.

4. The cables can be routed through the wall plate by three ways as shown in the pictures in the manual.

5. Lock the screw “F”, but do not tighten it fully at this stage.

1. Move the projector mounting plate leftwards/rightwards to determine the projector position.

2. If the surface is not flat, please use the “G” (M4 connecting screw) spacers to avoid interference.

3. Install the projector plate using the appropriate screws.

4. Slide the projector onto the mount arm.

5. You can adjust the projector upward/downward according to your need. The sliding distance for adjusting the projector upward/downward is 3.15″ (80mm).

6. Tighten screw “F” after locating the projector position.

1. Check the scaleplate on the arm to see the distance from the mounting plate to the wall.

2. To make adjustments to meet your demands, screws must be loosened in a specific order.

3. When the length of the inside arm does not meet your requirements, loosen the screws on the outside arm to adjust the middle arm. Under this circumstance, the number read on the middle arm is correct.

4. Once positioned, tighten the screws.

The VIVITEK WM-3Z allows for several fine-tuning adjustments:

Vertical Tilt: Use the Adjustment Knob located on the side of the mount head to tilt the screen adjustment direction up or down.

Horizontal Roll: Use the Adjustment Knob located on the bottom/side of the mount head to adjust the screen roll left or right.

Horizontal Rotation: Use the Adjustment Knob to adjust the rotation (left/right yaw) of the projector.

When all adjustments are completed, the wall plate covers can be used to cover the blank area on the top of the wall plate.

1. The number of wall plate covers used depends on the size of the blank area.

2. The wall cover must be used in a specific order as shown in the manual diagrams (typically labeled 1, 2, 3, 4 depending on the gap size).

3. Finally, put the wall cover on.
