What is the basic setup for the monitor?

  1. Insert one end of the VGA video cable into the PC’s graphics card. DVI, HDMI, or display port (DP) may also be used, but these cables are not included. For optimal refresh rate at 144Hz, it is recommended to use a Display Port (DP) or DVI-D dual link cable with the monitor’s corresponding connector.
  2. Connect the other end of the video cable to the corresponding connector on the monitor.
  3. Connect the power cable to the monitor, then connect the other end to a power source like a wall outlet or surge protector. It is recommended to use a surge protector.
  4. Locate the power button on the monitor and press it to turn the monitor on. If the power button cannot be located, refer to the Control Panel Section.

Where are the DVI, HDMI, and DP Connectors located?

How do you use the monitor’s FreeSync feature?

To use FreeSync, you need hardware with FreeSync capability, a DP, and the latest graphic drivers. Connect the appropriate cable to the DP connectors on both the computer and the monitor. After connecting, a prompt will appear to enable FreeSync on the computer. The FreeSync feature is on by default.


What does the solid blue indicator light mean?

A solid blue light indicates power is on and the monitor is operating normally.


What does the flashing blue indicator light mean?

A flashing blue light indicates no video source has been detected. Ensure the PC is on and all video cables are fully inserted and/or connected.


Where is the Control Panel located and what is it used for?

The Control Panel is located at the corner of the monitor. Its labels are on the front of the monitor while its buttons are directly under the labels on the bottom edge. The Control Panel is used to turn the monitor on and in combination with the On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu to adjust the monitor settings.


What are the functions of the Control Panel buttons?

  • Menu/Enter: Opens the main menu
  • Down: Moves down/lower while navigating
  • Up: Moves up/higher while navigating
  • Exit: Exits the current menu screen and returns to the main menu, or closes the menu if currently on the main menu screen
  • Power: Turns the monitor on or off

Note: The Down and Up buttons may be mapped to keyboard hotkeys if desired.


How do you access the OSD Menu and what is it used for?

The On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu may be used to adjust the monitor’s settings and appears on screen after turning on the monitor and pressing the Control Panel’s Menu/Enter Key. When using the monitor for the first time, settings will automatically adjust to optimal settings according to the computer’s configuration and parts.
