ATTENTION: It is essential to observe the recommended safety precautions when operating the VERTO 15G539 hand aerator:

The VERTO 15G539 is a manual mechanical device. It works by puncturing the soil with spikes or tubes attached to a rotating aerator drum. The holes created in this way provide all the nutrients necessary for the growth and regeneration of the lawn.

The VERTO 15G539 aerator is an essential device for the garden or allotment. It facilitates aeration and loosens the soil, which in turn strengthens the root system of the grass. It facilitates water penetration into deeper soil layers, allowing more water to be retained in the soil. It allows fertilizers to penetrate the soil more easily, so they are absorbed more quickly by the root system, accelerating grass growth. This process significantly speeds up the recovery of the lawn after winter. Aeration of lawns is essential after the winter period. It can and is even recommended to apply it systematically throughout the season, allowing users to enjoy a healthy and beautiful lawn.

The optimum times for aeration are spring and late summer/early autumn. The first treatment will help to refresh and regenerate the turf after the winter period. The second, on the other hand, prepares the lawn for the arrival of winter.

NOTE: Remember to aerate only from the second year after sowing the lawn.

To maximize the effect of aeration, the lawn should be properly prepared for the treatment. Before aerating, clean up the lawn after the winter period by raking out any unwanted grass and leaves that are left over from the winter. Make sure that the spikes will sink into the soil easily; a generous watering of the lawn can help, but you need to wait for the water to soak into the soil. During the season, cut the grass low before each treatment and then also water generously and wait for the water to soak into the soil. The soil under the turf must be sufficiently soft and moist and the lawn surface dry.

ATTENTION: It is strongly advised not to carry out aeration immediately after watering the grass as this may damage the turf.

Before installation, read the instructions carefully and familiarize yourself with the various steps of assembly before you start. Do not discard any parts from the packaging until you are sure you have all the parts. To avoid damage to parts, unfold and assemble on the floor. Keep assembly parts and plastic packaging out of the reach of children.

Unscrew the large nut (D) and washer (C) from the wheel axle. Attach the left and right sides of the frame (B) to the body (A) and fit the large washers (C) and large nuts (D) on both sides of the axle. Make sure they are correctly fitted and tightened well.

Using components (E), (F) and (G), screw the left and right sides of the frame (B) to the tube (J), making sure everything is tightened correctly.

Assemble tubes (H), (I) and (J) together. Make sure the tubes are well assembled before proceeding to the next step.

Before using the aerator, check that all fixings and parts are well tightened and secure.

Thoroughly clean the spikes and wheels after use before storing the unit. Store in a dry place. For the sake of proper functioning of the unit, lubricate all moving parts regularly.
