To ensure safe operation of your VAX GRAB & GO VHV22I2, please follow these guidelines:

Basic Safety Precautions:

• This vacuum cleaner is intended for household use only, not for commercial or industrial use.

• Keep fingers, hair, and loose clothing away from moving parts and openings.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless they have been given supervision or instruction.

Do’s:

• Always make sure the filter and dirt bin are fitted correctly before use.

• Always turn off and unplug from the charger before any maintenance.

• Turn off all controls on the vacuum before disconnecting or connecting the charger.

• Take extra care when cleaning on stairs.

• Protect the charger cord from heated surfaces or open flames.

• Keep all openings clear and free from debris as this may affect airflow/suction.

• Store your vacuum in a cool, dry area. Ensure the filter is thoroughly dry before storing.

• Use only with FULLPOWER Model SAW06C-090-0500AD charger.

• Use only Australian Certified approved 10amp extension cords.

• Only use the vacuum cleaner indoors and keep the cleaning area well lit.

• Only use VAX recommended tools and accessories.

• In between uses, lie the vacuum flat on the floor where it won’t be a trip hazard.

• Always carry the vacuum cleaner by the handle.

• The charging port must be clean and free from dust and dirt.

• For best battery life, store the appliance in a “charged” condition (minimum 30-50% charged).

To prevent damage to your vacuum or injury, please avoid the following:

• Do not pull or carry the appliance by the charger cord, use the cord as a handle, close a door on the cord, or pull it around sharp edges.

• Don’t handle the charger plug or use the vacuum with wet hands.

• Don’t use the vacuum if it has been dropped, damaged, immersed in water, or left outdoors.

• Don’t attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects, as this may cause damage.

• This is for dry vacuuming only. DO NOT vacuum any liquids.

• Don’t use the charger if it has a damaged cord or plug.

• Don’t try to short the terminals of the charger.

• Don’t use the vacuum with an incorrect voltage; the correct voltage is on the rating label.

• Don’t vacuum hot coals, cigarette butts, ash, matches, or other smoking/burning items.

• Don’t use in areas with harmful fluids like chlorine, bleach, or ammonia drain cleaner.

• Do not vacuum hard or sharp objects such as glass, nails, screws, or coins.

• Do not vacuum plaster dust, concrete dust, or other building materials.

• Do not vacuum flour, baking soda, or other powder-based carpet refreshers.

• Do not charge the vacuum in a damp or wet location.

• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

CAUTION: The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated.

• Do not disassemble, heat, incinerate, or dispose of the battery in fire.

• The battery and charger have no serviceable parts. Fire or injury may result.

• The battery must be removed from the appliance by a qualified person and disposed of safely.

• For best results, charge the battery in a location where the temperature is more than 10°C but less than 37°C.

• To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, do not store the vacuum outside or in vehicles.

• Do not expose the battery to high temperatures above 38°C.

Charger Specifications

Please follow these steps to assemble the charging dock:

1. Insert the charger plug into the charging dock as shown.

2. Turn the charger plug 45 degrees to ensure it is secured into the charging dock.

3. Feed the charger cord through the cord routing channel.

4. Place the charging dock next to a power socket and plug the charger into the mains power supply.

5. The vacuum and accessories can now be stored on the charging dock.

NOTE: Fully charge the battery before using the vacuum for the first time. Failure to do so may result in poor battery performance.

1. Place the vacuum into the charging dock.

2. The LED indicator will pulse with a red light while charging.

3. When charging is complete, the indicator will display a solid blue light.

CAUTION: When charging is complete, unplug the charger from the wall socket. If the battery pack becomes hot from continuous use, allow the vacuum to cool before recharging.

During use, if the battery needs charging, the LED indicator will pulse red until the power runs out. If this happens, the vacuum cannot be turned on and requires charging.

Operating the Vacuum

1. Press the On/Off button to switch ‘On’ the vacuum. The LED indicator will light up blue.

2. Move the vacuum back and forth over a surface using even strokes.

3. Press the On/Off button again to switch the vacuum ‘Off’.

IMPORTANT: For best performance, it is advisable to empty the dust container after each use.

Emptying the Dust Container

1. Ensure the vacuum is switched off.

2. While holding the vacuum, press the dust container release button to detach the container.

3. Empty the contents over a bin.

4. To reinstall, hook the bottom of the dust container into the main unit at an angle.

5. Hinge the container towards the vacuum until it clicks back into place.

CAUTION: Always switch off the vacuum cleaner before fitting or removing accessories. Take extra care when using the vacuum on stairs.

1. Choose an accessory and insert it into the dust inlet of the vacuum.

Accessory Usage:

• The crevice tool can be used to clean in hard-to-reach places.

• The brush tool can be used for general cleaning, such as on benchtops, car seats, and floor surfaces.

• The brush tool can also be installed onto the end of the crevice tool for additional reach if required.

IMPORTANT: The filter should be tapped over a bin every 4-6 uses to remove dirt. It should be washed every 3 months or when required, and replaced every 6-9 months depending on use. Always allow the filter to dry completely before reinstalling.

WARNING: Ensure the vacuum is switched off before performing maintenance.

1. Remove Dust Container: Press the dust container release button to separate the container from the vacuum.

2. Remove Filter Assembly: Remove the filter holder from the dust container.

3. Separate Filter: Separate the filter from the filter holder.

4. Clean or Replace Filter:

• Tap the filter over a bin to remove debris. Also, wipe debris from the filter holder.

• The filter is washable. Wash it under running water (40 degrees max).

• Allow the filter to dry for 24 hours or until completely dry before reinstalling.

• Replace the filter if necessary.

5. Reassemble: Insert the clean, dry filter back into the filter holder. Install the filter holder back into the dust container.

6. Reinstall Dust Container: At an angle, hook the bottom of the dust container onto the vacuum. Hinge the dust container towards the vacuum until it clicks back into place.

If your cleaner won’t run, check the following:

• Battery not charged: Charge the battery for up to 4 hours. The indicator light will pulse until the battery is fully charged and will then show a solid blue light.

• Battery might be too hot: Allow the vacuum to cool for 1 hour before attempting to use or charge it.

If you are experiencing low suction, please check the following points:

• Dirt container is not installed correctly: Review the ‘Filter removal and replacement’ section to ensure correct installation.

• Dirt container is full: Empty the dirt container.

• Battery charge is getting weak: Charge the battery.

• Filter is dirty: Clean or replace the filter.

• Clogged filter: Remove the filter and clean it thoroughly.

If dust is escaping from the cleaner, it could be due to one of these reasons:

• Dirt container is full: Turn off the unit and remove debris from the container.

• Dirt container is not installed correctly: Review the ‘Filter removal and replacement’ instructions to ensure it is fitted correctly.

• Filter is not installed correctly: Review the ‘Filter removal and replacement’ instructions to ensure it is fitted correctly.
