Parts Removal
*First unplug the pump’s power cable from the main power supply.
Step 1: Remove the connecting tube. First, remove the connecting tube that joins the primary side and the secondary side. Use the wrench to remove the joint end.
Step 2: Remove the diaphragm. Remove the four hex socket bolts (M6x22), then remove the pump head. Next, remove the four small flat head screws with cross holes (M5x12) and the push plate for the diaphragm. You can now remove the diaphragm.
Step 3: Remove the air release valve, filter, and pump head gasket. After removing the pump head, remove the five small pan head screws (w/M4x12 SW) to take off the pump head cover, pump head gasket, and filter. Next, remove the small pan head screws (M3x5) to take off the air release valve holder and air release valve.
Step 4: Remove the base. Remove the four hex socket bolts (M5x30) and then remove the base. This completes the parts removal procedure.
Attaching Parts & Assembly
Step 5: Attach the diaphragm. Place the new diaphragm onto the connecting rod. With the motor positioned above, adjust the diaphragm so there is an even space on the left and right sides.
Step 6: Attach the push plate. Place the push plate on top of the diaphragm. Apply Loctite 242 to 3-4 threads of the small flat head screws (M5x12). Tighten the screws in order (1 through 4) over 3 passes, partially tightening each time. Finally, use the torque screwdriver (5.0 Nm) to tighten each screw twice. After attaching, check the diaphragm alignment.
Step 7: Attach the air release valve and holder. The attachment direction varies by model and side; check the diagrams in the manual. Apply Loctite 242 to 2-3 threads of the attaching pan head screws (M3x4). Tighten them using the torque screwdriver No. 2 (0.8 Nm). After attaching, check the alignment of the valve and holder.
Step 8: Attach the filter. The attachment direction varies. Follow the diagram in the manual to ensure correct placement. Insert the filter all the way so it does not come out or get stuck.
Step 9: Attach the pump head gasket. Ensure the attachment direction is correct by following the manual’s picture. The direction is the same for primary and secondary sides on both models.
Step 10: Attach the pump head cover. The thick part of the center fin should be on the bottom. Use the torque screwdriver No. 2 (2.0 Nm) to tighten the five small pan head screws (w/M4x12S) in order from (1) to (5). Make two passes to ensure proper tightening.
Step 11: Prepare to attach the pump head. Before attaching, rotate the eccentric shaft to the top position as shown in the manual’s picture.
Step 12: Attach the pump head. Adjust the pump head so there is even space on the left and right side of the diaphragm, as in Step 5. Tighten the four hex socket bolts (M6x22) using a torque wrench with a 5 mm bit (13.0 Nm), following the order in the picture. Make two passes to ensure proper tightening. Do the same for the opposing pump head.
Step 13: Attach the base. After attaching both pump heads, tighten the base using a torque wrench with a 4 mm bit (5.0 Nm) and the four hex socket bolts (M5x30), following the order in the picture.
Step 14: Attach the connecting tube. The parts replacement procedure is now complete.
