What are the power supply, power cord, and interface cable requirements for the TOSHIBA TRST-P1?

To ensure compliance with Product Safety and FCC marking requirements for the TOSHIBA TRST-P1, you must use the power supply, power cord, and interface cable that meet the following parameters:

Power Adapter:

The power adapter must comply with Safety and/or EMC requirements of the country where it is used. It should be a Class 1 power adapter with SELV (Secondary Extra Low Voltage) and L.P.S (Limited Power Source), non-energy hazard output. The required electrical characteristics are:

Input rated: 100-240 Vac, 1.8A Max, 50/60 Hz

Output rated: 24 Vdc, 2.5A

It is recommended to use a TOSHIBA TEC recommended power adapter.

Interface Cable:

You must use a shielded (360 degree) interface cable. The shield must be connected to the frame or earth ground connection at BOTH ends of the cable. If using a different cable, it must be tested with the TOSHIBA TEC printer and your system for local EMC requirements.

Power Cord:

A UL listed, detachable power cord is required. If the power supply is mounted on the floor, a power cord with Type SJT marking is required. Using a different power cord may violate safety certifications. The socket-outlet must be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.
