What types of discs are supported by the TASCAM CD-9010?

In addition to commercially-available audio CDs, the TASCAM CD-9010 can play CD-R discs that have been recorded in audio CD (CD-DA) format, as well as CD-R discs that have WAV audio files recorded on them. It can also playback 8cm discs.

Note: Music discs with copy control or copy-protection systems may not comply with CD specifications and may not be playable on this unit.


How should I handle and clean discs used in the TASCAM CD-9010?

Follow these guidelines for handling compact discs:

Handling:

  • Always load compact discs with their labels facing upward.
  • To remove a disc from its case, press down on the center of the disc holder, then lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges.
  • Do not touch the signal side (the unlabeled side). Fingerprints, oils, and other substances can cause errors during playback.
  • Do not use cracked discs.
  • Only use circular compact discs. Avoid using non-circular promotional discs.
