How do I mount the SUNCAST WTS175 to the wall?

Follow these steps to mount the SUNCAST WTS175:

1. Mark the location for mounting the hose reel on the wall by measuring 36″ from the left side of the unit to the water supply and measuring 51 3/4″ from the ground. Note: If the hose reel is correctly mounted, the leader hose should reach the water supply without kinking the hose.

2. Line up the hose reel with your measurements and mark the hole locations. Note: Hardware supplied is for mounting the unit to wood. Consult your local hardware store for alternate mounting supplies and instructions. It is recommended to use a 5/16″ socket and small extension to install fasteners.

3. Pre-drill holes. Install the top two hex head screws halfway. DO NOT tighten them yet.

4. Mount the hose reel on the top two hex head screws.

5. Install the bottom two hex head screws and tighten all four screws. Note: DO NOT overtighten screws.

How do I connect the hoses to the SUNCAST WTS175?

Connecting the Leader Hose:

Connect the male end of the leader hose to the in-tube and the female end to the spigot.

Connecting the Garden Hose:

Connect the garden hose to the out-tube. Turn on the water supply and check for leaks. If necessary, tighten connections.

Caution: DO NOT cross-thread the garden hose onto the out-tube. Check that the garden hose has a washer inside the female coupler. If the washer is missing, consult your local hardware store for the correct washer needed.

How do I set up and use the tracker system on the SUNCAST WTS175?

During installation, push the tabs and raise the tracker arms. Run the garden hose end through the tracker.

To operate, run the hose through the tracker and slide the tracker as needed. Push the tabs to lower the tracker arms once the hose is through.

What is the correct way to operate and rewind the hose on the SUNCAST WTS175?

When finished using the hose reel, turn off the water source. DO NOT leave water pressure on when not in use.

Before rewinding your hose, remove the accessory and drain as much water out of the hose as possible. This will prevent extra stress on the hose reel (from the weight of water) that could cause permanent damage.

To unwind your hose, pull the hose out away from your hose reel in a straight line. Then walk the end back to the hose reel so the hose is in a “U” shape in front of the reel. This assists in easier rewinding of the hose.

How should I maintain and store the SUNCAST WTS175 during winter or cold weather?

If freezing may occur, remove the hose from the faucet and drain water out of the hose and reel. Freezing of trapped water may cause damage to the reel, hose, or pipes.

Store the unit indoors during colder months. Check in-tube and out-tube connections prior to first use each spring.

Once a year, remove the in-tube and clean and re-lube the o-rings. Re-install the in-tube.
