To assemble the STARFRIT 024732 for cooking, follow this order. All parts are marked with a letter from (A) to (F) to indicate the order of assembly.

1. First, place the STEAMER BASE (A) on a flat level surface and place the DRIP TRAY on top of the STEAMER BASE (A).

2. Place the SAUSAGE STEAMER (B) on top of the STEAMER BASE (A), make sure it sits flat. NOTE: You can also place the BREAD STEAMER (D) directly on top of the STEAMER BASE (A).

3. Insert the SAUSAGE TRAY (C) inside the SAUSAGE STEAMER (B).

4. Place the BREAD STEAMER (D) on top of SAUSAGE STEAMER (B), make sure it sits flat.

5. Insert the BREAD TRAY (E) inside the BREAD STEAMER (D).

6. Place the LID (F) on top of the BREAD STEAMER (D). Use the side LOCKING CLIPS to securely attach the LID (F).


How do I use the STARFRIT 024732 to steam hot dogs and buns?

WARNING: DO NOT operate the appliance directly under kitchen cabinets. Provide adequate space above and around the appliance for air circulation. NEVER operate the appliance while it is empty as it will damage the appliance.

1. Place the appliance on a flat, stable heat resistant surface.

2. Open the WATER-FILL SPOUT on the side of the appliance and fill the STEAMER BASE (A) with water to the MAX line. DO NOT overfill. ALWAYS ensure the water level is at MIN level before operating. NEVER use any liquids other than water.

3. Open the SLIDING DOOR on the SAUSAGE STEAMER (B) to access the SAUSAGE TRAY (C). Place up to 12 sausages on the SAUSAGE TRAY (C) and close the DOOR.

4. Open the LID (F) to access the BREAD STEAMER (D) and place up to 12 buns. Use the markings on the BREAD TRAY (E) to avoid obstructing the STEAM VENTS located on each side of the BREAD TRAY (E). Buns should be stacked on two (2) rows.

5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120-volt AC outlet.

6. Set the timer to the desired cooking time (maximum of 60 minutes). The LED indicator will illuminate, indicating the appliance is heating. NOTE: During first use, smoke or light vapours may occur due to the initial warming of materials. This is normal and will disappear.

7. When cooking time is up, the light will go off and the unit will shut down; unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.

CAUTION: Use extreme caution when opening the LID (F) or SAUSAGE STEAMER (B) during or after cooking. Hot steam will escape and may cause scalding. Use protective oven mitts or gloves. ALWAYS use tongs or utensils to handle hot food.

WARNING: ALWAYS unplug the appliance when not in use. DO NOT add salt or any other seasonings to the food while steaming.

Use the BREAD STEAMER (D) to steam vegetables and the SAUSAGE STEAMER (B) to steam fish or other meats. The BREAD TRAY (E) must be removed in order to use the BREAD STEAMER (D) for anything other than bread. To prevent drippings from the BREAD STEAMER (D) falling into other foods, use a small plate or tray to steam food.
