Before using your STARFRIT 024732 for the first time, please follow these steps:

1. Remove and discard any packaging, sticker, or promotional labels/materials.

2. Thoroughly wash all parts (except the STEAMER BASE [A]) in hot soapy water and dry thoroughly. WARNING: DO NOT place any parts in the dishwasher.

3. Rinse the STEAMER BASE (A) with hot water and dry thoroughly. WARNING: DO NOT immerse the STEAMER BASE (A), electrical cord or plug in water or any other liquid.

4. Assemble the appliance according to the “ORDER OF ASSEMBLY-COOKING MODE” instructions.

To assemble the STARFRIT 024732 for cooking, follow this order. All parts are marked with a letter from (A) to (F) to indicate the order of assembly.

1. First, place the STEAMER BASE (A) on a flat level surface and place the DRIP TRAY on top of the STEAMER BASE (A).

2. Place the SAUSAGE STEAMER (B) on top of the STEAMER BASE (A), make sure it sits flat. NOTE: You can also place the BREAD STEAMER (D) directly on top of the STEAMER BASE (A).

3. Insert the SAUSAGE TRAY (C) inside the SAUSAGE STEAMER (B).

4. Place the BREAD STEAMER (D) on top of SAUSAGE STEAMER (B), make sure it sits flat.

5. Insert the BREAD TRAY (E) inside the BREAD STEAMER (D).

6. Place the LID (F) on top of the BREAD STEAMER (D). Use the side LOCKING CLIPS to securely attach the LID (F).

WARNING: DO NOT operate the appliance directly under kitchen cabinets. Provide adequate space above and around the appliance for air circulation. NEVER operate the appliance while it is empty as it will damage the appliance.

1. Place the appliance on a flat, stable heat resistant surface.

2. Open the WATER-FILL SPOUT on the side of the appliance and fill the STEAMER BASE (A) with water to the MAX line. DO NOT overfill. ALWAYS ensure the water level is at MIN level before operating. NEVER use any liquids other than water.

3. Open the SLIDING DOOR on the SAUSAGE STEAMER (B) to access the SAUSAGE TRAY (C). Place up to 12 sausages on the SAUSAGE TRAY (C) and close the DOOR.

4. Open the LID (F) to access the BREAD STEAMER (D) and place up to 12 buns. Use the markings on the BREAD TRAY (E) to avoid obstructing the STEAM VENTS located on each side of the BREAD TRAY (E). Buns should be stacked on two (2) rows.

5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120-volt AC outlet.

6. Set the timer to the desired cooking time (maximum of 60 minutes). The LED indicator will illuminate, indicating the appliance is heating. NOTE: During first use, smoke or light vapours may occur due to the initial warming of materials. This is normal and will disappear.

7. When cooking time is up, the light will go off and the unit will shut down; unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.

CAUTION: Use extreme caution when opening the LID (F) or SAUSAGE STEAMER (B) during or after cooking. Hot steam will escape and may cause scalding. Use protective oven mitts or gloves. ALWAYS use tongs or utensils to handle hot food.

WARNING: ALWAYS unplug the appliance when not in use. DO NOT add salt or any other seasonings to the food while steaming.

Yes, you can use the STARFRIT 024732 to steam different foods. The BREAD STEAMER (D) can be placed directly on the BASE (A). Use the BREAD STEAMER (D) to steam vegetables and the SAUSAGE STEAMER (B) to steam fish or other meats. The BREAD TRAY (E) must be removed in order to use the BREAD STEAMER (D) for anything other than bread. To prevent drippings from the BREAD STEAMER (D) falling into other foods, use a small plate or tray to steam food.

For best results with your STARFRIT 024732, read the following tips:

DO NOT fill the STEAMER BASE (A) past the MAX line.

ALWAYS ensure the water level is NOT lower than the MIN line.

NEVER use salt or seasoning during the steaming process. You may season your food once cooking is over.

If you are steaming large quantities of food, stir the food halfway through the steaming process.

NEVER steam frozen food.

After several usages, scale deposits may build up in the STEAMER BASE (A). This is normal. Descale your appliance regularly using water and vinegar. DO NOT USE DESCALING PRODUCTS.

WARNING: Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool down completely before handling or cleaning.

1. Disassemble all the parts.

2. Drain any remaining water from the STEAMER BASE (A) and DRIP TRAY.

3. Thoroughly wash all parts (except the STEAMER BASE [A]) in hot soapy water and dry thoroughly. Wash after each use. WARNING: DO NOT wash any part in the dishwasher. ALL parts must be handwashed.

4. Rinse the STEAMER BASE (A) with hot water and dry thoroughly. WARNING: DO NOT immerse the STEAMER BASE (A), electrical cord or plug in water or any other liquid.

5. Dry thoroughly. Rinse after each use.

The STARFRIT 024732 is designed with a stackable feature for compact storage and transportation. To assemble for storage, stack the components in the following order as shown in the manual’s storage diagram:

1. Start with the Bread Steamer (D) as the bottom piece.

2. Place the Sausage Steamer (B) inside the Bread Steamer (D).

3. Place the Steamer Base (A) inside the Sausage Steamer (B).

4. Place the Bread Tray (E) inside the Steamer Base (A).

5. Place the Sausage Tray (C) on top of the Bread Tray (E).

6. Place the Lid (F) on top to close the unit.

NOTE: Metal rings are included on each side of the appliance to be used with a carrying shoulder strap (not included) to facilitate transport.
