Section 1

(Power): Turns the TV on or off.

TV: Display TV channel list or switch to input.

(Quick Settings): Display Quick Settings.

(Input select): Display and select the input source, etc.

MENU (Control menu): Display the Control menu.

Up / Down / Left / Right Arrows: On-screen menu navigation and selection.

(Back): Returns to the previous screen.

(Home): Displays the Home menu.

(Google Assistant / Microphone): Use Google Assistant or voice search. An internet connection is required. This feature is only for limited regions/countries/models/languages.

+ / – (Volume): Adjusts the volume.

App buttons: These buttons provide quick access to various streaming applications.

Labels for the TV Model No. and Power Supply rating are located on the rear of the TV. They can be found by removing the terminal cover.

For product protection and safety, it is strongly recommended that installation of your TV on the wall be performed by qualified professionals. Do not attempt to install it yourself. Follow the instruction guide provided with the Wall-Mount Bracket for your model. The steps below are for preparing the TV before installation.

1. Remove the stand covers and terminal covers (for models with a Table-Top Stand only).

2. Remove the screws from the rear of the TV (for models with a Table-Top Stand only).

3. Attach the Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied) using the screws (not supplied).

Note:

• If using an electric screwdriver, set the torque at approximately 1.5 N·m {15 kgf·cm}.

• Be sure the TV is vertical before turning it on. To avoid uneven picture uniformity, do not power on the TV with the panel facing down.

• Be sure to store the unused screws and Table-Top Stand in a safe place. Keep the screws away from children.

For general troubleshooting, follow these steps:

1. Restart your TV by pressing the power button on the remote control for about five seconds. The TV will restart. If the TV does not recover, try unplugging the AC power cord (mains lead), then press the power button on the TV and release it. Wait for two minutes, and plug in the AC power cord again.

Alternatively, press the power button on the TV for about 40 seconds until the TV turns off.

2. Refer to the Help menu. Press (Quick Settings) on the remote control and select [Help]. If [Help] does not exist, select [Edit] and add [Help].

3. Connect your TV to the Internet and perform a software update. Sony recommends keeping your TV software updated for new features and performance improvements.

When you plug in the TV, it may not be able to turn on for a while, even if you press the power button on the remote control or the TV. It takes time to initialize the system. Wait for about one minute, then operate it again.

If the remote control does not function, try replacing the batteries.

Enter 9999 for the PIN and then enter a new PIN.

If the whole image or part of the image remains still, the screen brightness will be gradually reduced to prevent image retention. This is not a malfunction of the TV.

If the same image is displayed repeatedly or for long periods of time, image retention may occur. To reduce image retention, it is recommended that you turn off the TV normally by pressing the power button on the remote control or the TV.

Note: Images that include logos and bright colours (including white) easily cause image retention. Avoid displaying these types of images for long periods of time, otherwise image retention may occur.

The Panel refresh is not completed if:

1. The TV is turned on during the refresh.

2. The AC power cord (mains lead) is unplugged during the refresh.

3. The room temperature falls outside of the range between 10 °C and 40 °C during the refresh.

Please avoid the above three conditions during the Panel refresh.
