To ensure safe operation of the SENCOR SHF 901WH, please adhere to the following safety guidelines:

This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or mental impairments or by inexperienced persons, if they are properly supervised or have been informed about how to use the product in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers.

Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user must not be performed by unsupervised children.

If the power cord is damaged, have it repaired at a professional service centre. It is forbidden to use the appliance if it has a damaged power cord.

Always fill the water tank only to the marked maximum water level mark. Never fill the water past the maximum mark.

Be especially careful when using the appliance since it generates steam.

When filling or cleaning the appliance, disconnect it by pulling the power plug out of the power socket.

Do not permit the area around the humidifier to become damp or wet. In the event that this happens, set the humidifier to a lower power level or use it intermittently.

Do not permit absorptive materials such as carpets, curtains, drapes or table cloths to become wet.

Never leave water in the water tank when the appliance is not being used. Empty out and clean the humidifier before storing it.

The water tank must be cleaned every 3 days. Microorganisms that may be present in the water or the environment can multiply in the water tank and may result in serious health risks if the water is not changed and the tank is not regularly cleaned. Before filling it, clean it out using tap clean water or a cleaning agent if required. Remove any limescale, deposits, or film that forms on the walls of the tank or inner surfaces, and wipe all surfaces dry.

Position the SENCOR SHF 901WH on a dry, even, and water-resistant surface approximately 15 cm away from walls and other objects. Ensure there is sufficient free space around the appliance. Do not place the humidifier on carpets, towels, blankets, or other absorptive materials. It must be located at least 2 metres from electrical or electronic devices or materials sensitive to moisture.

Follow these steps to fill the water tank:

1. Check that the power adapter is disconnected.

2. Carefully take the water tank off the base unit.

3. Turn the water tank upside down and screw out the filling opening cap.

4. Pour clean cold water into the water tank. Only use clean cold water without any additions. Do not pour water through the steam outlet or use hot water.

5. Screw on the cap and check that it is tightened firmly to prevent leaking by turning the tank over so the cap points downwards.

6. Put the tank back onto the base unit.

To start the humidifier, press the power button (A9). The appliance will automatically start at low speed with the illumination turned off. You can repeatedly press the button to cycle through the following operating modes:

If the button is pressed a fifth time, the SENCOR SHF 901WH will turn off.

When the water level falls below the set level, the backlight of the power button will change from blue to red, and the SENCOR SHF 901WH will turn off automatically. You should then disconnect the power adapter and refill the water tank.

The direction of the outflowing steam can be adjusted within an angle of 360 degrees by turning the steam outlet nozzle (A1) located at the top of the appliance.

The SENCOR SHF 901WH features a special pillow (A2) next to the steam outlet for aromatic oils. Always use only 3 drops of aromatic oil on this pillow. Under no condition should you pour aromatic oil directly into the water tank or the base unit, as this risks damaging the inner parts of the humidifier.

To maintain your SENCOR SHF 901WH, follow these cleaning steps after every use:

1. Turn off the humidifier and disconnect the power adapter from the power socket.

2. Remove the water tank from the base unit and remove the steam nozzle.

3. Screw off the tank cap and pour out any remaining water into a sink or drain.

4. Rinse the water tank with clean water to remove any dirt or deposits.

5. Wipe the tank with a dry wiping cloth.

6. Clean the base unit and the nozzle using a clean soft cloth lightly dampened in warm water, then wipe dry.

Note: Do not use abrasive cleaning products, solvents, or dishwashers to clean any part of the appliance.

Depending on water hardness, it is recommended to remove limescale at least once per week:

1. Turn off the humidifier and disconnect the power adapter.

2. Remove the water tank and the nozzle.

3. Empty any remaining water from the tank.

4. Fill the water tank with one cup of white vinegar and let it act for 15 minutes. Use a soft-bristled cleaning brush to remove accumulated deposits inside the tank.

5. Pour out the vinegar and rinse the tank thoroughly with clean cold water.

6. Wipe the tank dry with a clean cloth.

If your local water is very hard, the use of distilled water is recommended.

To clean the ultrasound disc (A5):

1. Turn off the humidifier and disconnect the power adapter.

2. Remove the water tank from the base unit.

3. Use only the supplied cleaning brush (A6) to carefully wipe the disc to remove dust and dirt.

Warning: Do not push heavily on the cleaning brush to avoid scratching or damaging the disc.

If the humidifier is not generating steam, check the following solutions:

1. Disconnect and reconnect the power adapter.

2. If a power outage occurred, wait for power to be restored; the unit should turn on automatically.

3. Ensure the water tank is properly seated on the base unit.

4. Check if the surface of the ultrasound disc is dirty. If so, clean it according to the “Cleaning the ultrasound disc” instructions.

An unpleasant odor usually indicates that the water tank is being cleaned incorrectly or the water inside is dirty. Clean out the water tank thoroughly using clean cold water and follow the regular cleaning schedule.
