How do I power the SBODE M400 on or off?
Long press the Power button for 2 seconds to power the speaker on or off.
How do I pair the SBODE M400 with a Bluetooth device?
1. The light indicator will twinkle when you power on the speaker.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth function of your mobile or other device.
3. Start to search for Bluetooth devices. “Sbode M400” will be found.
4. Please connect to it. When connected, the speaker will prompt “Device paired” and the light indicator will always be blue.
How do I use the hands-free calling features on the SBODE M400?
Answer a call: Short press the Phone button.
End a call: Short press the Phone button again.
Redial the last call: Double press the Phone button.
Switch to a private call: Short press the Power button or the Phone button to switch the call between the speaker and your cellphone.
Reject a call: Long press the Phone button.
How do I disconnect the current Bluetooth connection on the SBODE M400?
Long press the Phone button to disconnect the current Bluetooth connection. Other Bluetooth devices can then find and pair with the speaker.
How do I set up the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) function on the SBODE M400?
Note: This function requires two Sbode M400 speakers, and they must not be connected to any other Bluetooth devices.
1. Power on two Sbode M400 speakers and switch them to Bluetooth mode.
2. Short press the TWS button on one speaker. This speaker will search for the other Sbode M400 speaker and connect automatically.
3. After connection, the TWS buttons on the two speakers will turn BLUE/ORANGE. The speaker with the BLUE button is the left channel, and the speaker with the ORANGE button is the right channel.
To clear the TWS connection, long press the TWS button.
How do I play music from a Micro SD card on the SBODE M400?
Insert the Micro SD Card into the speaker. Then, short press the Power button to enter the memory card mode. The speaker will play the Micro SD card music directly and will prompt “memory card mode”.
How do I use the Aux-in mode on the SBODE M400?
1. Use the included 3.5mm audio cable to connect the speaker to an audio source (PC, MP3/MP4, mobile phone).
2. Short press the Power button to enter “AUX IN” mode. The speaker will prompt “Aux in mode” and will play the music from the audio source.
Please Note:
When connecting to a PC via the Aux In cable, it is suggested to use a branded adapter (5V 1A) instead of the PC USB Port to charge the speaker, as the computer’s power supply may be weak.
Make sure the speaker is in Aux In mode when using this function.
A short press on the Play/Pause button will mute the music on the speaker, but the audio source will continue playing.
How do I use the FM Radio on the SBODE M400?
1. Short press the Power button to switch to the FM Radio Mode. The speaker will announce “FM Radio Mode”.
2. Long press the “Play/Pause” button for about 3 seconds to search for local stations. It will save the stations automatically.
3. Short press the “+/-” buttons to switch to the previous or next station.
How do I use the SBODE M400 as a card reader?
1. Please power off the speaker.
2. Use the included USB cable to connect the speaker to a computer.
3. The speaker will enter card reader mode. The Micro SD card can then be read and written on the computer directly.
Note: The first time using this function, the computer will install the driver automatically.
Does the SBODE M400 have an intelligent power-saving function?
Yes. When the speaker is paused, muted, or without a Bluetooth connection for more than 10 minutes, it will automatically power off. To power it back on, long press the Power button again.
How do I charge the SBODE M400?
When the speaker has a low battery, it will prompt “out of battery”. Please charge the battery immediately using a USB adapter. When fully charged, the four battery indicator lights will be lit up.
Please Note: Use a good quality adapter at 5V 1A. A full charge will take around 4 hours. If using an adapter with 5V 500mA, it will take longer to fully charge.
What should I do if the SBODE M400 cannot pair with my Bluetooth device and play music?
(1) Please check the specification/manual of your Bluetooth device (mobile or computer) and check if the device can support A2DP stereo audio transmission. If yes, please turn on the A2DP stereo mode.
(2) Ensure the speaker is in Bluetooth status. If there are many Bluetooth devices around you, it may be hard to scan. Please turn off other devices.
What should I do if the Micro SD card does not work with my SBODE M400?
(1) Ensure that the Micro SD card is in good condition. Also check that the audio files are in the correct formats: MP3/WMA/WAV/APE/FLAC.
(2) Besides the above, the problem may be the compatibility of the Micro SD card. We recommend formatting the Micro SD Card to FAT32 file formats.
What should I do if the SBODE M400 speaker and all its buttons are not working?
The speaker’s inner system may be wrong due to some inappropriate operation. Please try using a needle to press the reset button in the reset hole next to the charging port.
