Warning: Screens can be damaged from direct pressure when handled incorrectly. It is recommended to lift the TV at the edges, as shown in the user manual. Do not touch the screen.

To connect the One Invisible Connection cable to the One Connect and your TV, follow these steps:

1. Connect the specific TV-end connector to the TV. Then, connect the connector with the arrow icon to the One Connect box.

2. Connect the One Connect AC power cord to the One Connect box and then to a power outlet.

Important Cautions:

When connecting the One Invisible Connection, use the Bending Cover to prevent the cable from being bent at a 90-degree angle, which could cause damage.

Pay attention to the shapes of the connectors to ensure they are connected correctly.

Be careful not to twist the cable of the One Invisible Connection, as this may cause performance degradation or damage to the cable.

When arranging the remaining cable, refer to the figure in the user manual for correct arrangement.

Be careful of the following actions because the One Invisible Connection contains a power circuit:

Do not bend the cable excessively.

Do not twist the cable.

Do not pull on the cable.

Do not press down on the cable with heavy objects.

Avoid actions that could lead to electric shock.

This is a CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT. Do not stare into the beam when it is open. Do not cut the cables, place heavy objects on them, or disassemble the connector.

To attach the stand to your SAMSUNG QE65Q8FN, first make sure you have all the accessories shown in the assembly instructions. Then, follow the provided assembly instructions to attach the stand components to the back of the TV using the included screws.

If you mount the TV on a wall, follow the instructions exactly as set out by the manufacturer. If not correctly mounted, the TV may slide or fall, causing serious injury and damage.

First, install the provided wall mount adapters as shown in the manual before installing the wall mount kit.

You can install the wall mount on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. For surfaces other than plaster board, contact your nearest dealer.

Fasten all four VESA screws when installing a wall mount kit.

If using a wall mount kit that attaches with only two top screws, be sure to use a Samsung wall mount kit that supports this type of installation.

Important Warnings:

Do not install your wall mount kit while your TV is turned on.

Do not use screws that are longer than the standard dimension or do not comply with VESA standard screw specifications.

Do not fasten the screws too firmly.

Do not mount the TV at more than a 15-degree tilt.

Always have two people mount the TV onto a wall.

When you install your SAMSUNG QE65Q8FN TV and One Connect, maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between the TV, the One Connect, and other objects (like walls or cabinet sides) to ensure proper ventilation. Failing to do so may result in a fire or a problem with the product due to an increase in its internal temperature.

For installation with a stand, ensure 10 cm of space on all sides and the back.

For installation with a wall mount, ensure 10 cm of space on the sides and top, and from the wall.

Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV may cause it to fall. To prevent this and ensure stability and safety, you can install an anti-fall device by following these steps:

1. Using appropriate screws, firmly fasten a set of brackets to the wall. Confirm the screws are firmly attached. You may need additional materials like wall anchors depending on the wall type.

2. Using appropriately sized screws, firmly fasten a set of brackets to the TV. Refer to the “Standard Screw” specification in the VESA table for screw size.

3. Connect the brackets on the TV and the wall with a durable, heavy-duty string, and then tie the string tightly.

Install the TV near the wall so it does not fall backward.

Connect the string so that the brackets fixed to the wall are at the same height as or lower than the brackets fixed to the TV.

The Control Stick is located on the bottom of the TV and can be used instead of the remote control. While watching TV, press the up/down directional buttons to change the channel, or the left/right buttons to adjust the volume. Press the center button to display the Control menu.

To use the menu, press the directional buttons to move the focus and then press the center button to select or run an item.

Press center button: Display Control menu / Select or run a focused item.

Press and hold center button: The running function is terminated.

Up/Down button: Changes the channel.

Left/Right button: Changes the volume.

The buttons on your Samsung Smart Remote have the following functions:

Power: Press to turn the TV on or off.

Voice Interaction: Press and hold the button, say a command, and then release it to run Voice Interaction.

Colour / Number button (123): Displays coloured buttons and a virtual numeric pad. Use coloured buttons for specific features or the numeric pad to enter values. Press for 1 second or more to see the TTX menu.

Ambient Mode: In TV mode, press to enter Ambient Mode. If pressed when the TV is off, the TV turns on in Ambient Mode. Press for 1 second or more to see the Shortcuts menu.

Directional pad (up/down/left/right): Moves the focus and changes values on the TV’s menu.

Select: Selects or runs a focused item. When watching content, it shows detailed program information.

Return: Returns to the previous menu. When pressed for 1 second or more, the running function is terminated. While watching a program, it switches to the previous channel.

Play/pause: Shows playback controls for media content.

Smart Hub: Returns to the Home Screen.

VOL (Volume): Move the button up or down to adjust volume. Press the button to mute. When pressed for 1 second or more, the Accessibility Shortcuts menu appears.

CH (Channel): Move the button up or down to change the channel. Press the button to see the Guide screen. When pressed for 1 second or more, the Channel List screen appears.

To install two 1.5V AAA batteries in your Samsung Smart Remote, follow these steps:

1. Press the triangle button at the top rear of the remote. The body will pop out slightly from the body cover.

2. Turn the remote over and slide the body of the remote upwards until the battery compartment is revealed.

3. If there are existing batteries, press the side buttons on both sides of the compartment to remove them.

4. Insert two new AAA batteries, making sure the polarities (+, -) are oriented correctly.

5. Slide the body of the remote back down until it is nearly in its original position.

6. Turn the remote over, press and hold the triangle button on the top rear, and slide the body of the remote down into place.

Alkaline batteries are recommended for longer battery life.

When you turn on the TV for the first time, the Samsung Smart Remote should pair automatically. If it does not pair automatically, point it at the remote control sensor of the TV, and then press and hold the ‘Return’ and ‘Play/pause’ buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more. The TV memorizes the external device and its connection port (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2).

When you turn on your TV for the first time, the Initial Setup starts immediately. This process allows you to configure basic settings like broadcast reception, channel search, and network connection.

Before starting, be sure to connect any external devices first.

To use the TV’s smart features, the TV must be connected to the Internet.

Follow the instructions displayed on the Initial Setup screen to configure the TV’s basic settings to suit your viewing environment.

If you connect an external device to HDMI IN (STB) before the setup, the live TV source will be set to STB, and you won’t be able to scan for aerial channels. If you want to connect an aerial cable, select Aerial during setup to scan and store channels.

You can also start the Initial Setup manually from the TV’s menu: Settings > General > Start Setup.

You can connect your SAMSUNG QE65Q8FN to the internet in two ways:

Network Connection – Wireless:

Connect the TV to the Internet using a standard wireless router or modem. During the TV’s initial setup or in the network settings, select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password if required.

Network Connection – Wired:

To edit external devices:

1. On the Source screen, move the focus to a connected external device.

2. Press the Up directional button. The following functions become available (functions may differ by port type):

Edit: Rename the port to make it easier to identify (e.g., “Blu-ray Player”).

Information: View detailed information about the connected device.

Add to Home: Add a shortcut for the device’s port to the Home Screen for quick switching.

If your TV won’t turn on, try these steps:

Make sure the AC power cord is securely plugged into both the TV and the wall outlet.

Ensure the wall outlet is working and the power indicator at the bottom of the TV is lit and glowing a solid red.

Try pressing the Power button on the bottom of the TV itself to rule out a problem with the remote control. If the TV turns on, the issue is with the remote.

If you see no picture/video/sound, a distorted picture, “Weak or No Signal,” or cannot find a channel, follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Make sure the connection to the external device is correct and all cables are fully inserted.

2. Remove and reconnect all cables connected to the TV and external devices. Try new cables if possible.

3. Confirm that the correct input source has been selected by going to Source.

4. Perform a TV self-diagnosis to check if the problem is with the TV or the device. Go to: Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Picture Test or Start Sound Test.

5. If the test results are normal, reboot the connected devices by unplugging their power cords and plugging them back in.

6. If you are not using a cable or satellite box and are receiving signals from an antenna or cable wall connector, run Auto Tuning. Go to: Settings > Broadcasting > (Auto Tuning Settings) > Auto Tuning.

If your remote control is not working, try the following:

Check if the power indicator at the bottom of the TV blinks when you press the remote’s Power button. If it doesn’t, replace the remote’s batteries.

Make sure the batteries are installed with their poles (+/-) in the correct direction.

Try pointing the remote directly at the TV from 1.5 – 1.8 meters away.

If your TV came with a Samsung Smart Remote (Bluetooth Remote), make sure to pair the remote to the TV.

If your TV settings are lost after 5 minutes, the TV is likely in Retail Mode. You need to change the Usage Mode to Home Mode. Navigate to Settings > General > System Manager > Usage Mode > Home Mode.

If you are experiencing intermittent Wi-Fi, try these solutions:

Make sure the TV has a network connection. Check this at: Settings > General > Network > Network Status.

Ensure the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.

Check the distance between the TV and the Modem/Router. It should not exceed 15.2 meters.

Reduce interference by not using or turning off other wireless devices. Also, verify there are no obstacles between the TV and the Modem/Router. The Wi-Fi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls, or fireplaces.

Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and ask them to reset your network circuit to re-register the MAC addresses of your new Modem/Router and the TV.

If you are having issues with video apps, try the following:

Change the DNS to 8.8.8.8. Select: Settings > General > Network > Network Status > IP Settings > DNS setting > Enter manually > DNS Server > enter 8.8.8.8 > OK.

Reset the Smart Hub by selecting: Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub.

The Eco Sensor on your SAMSUNG QE65Q8FN adjusts the brightness of the TV automatically. This feature measures the light in your room and optimises the TV’s brightness to reduce power consumption. If the screen seems too dark while watching TV in a dark room, it may be due to the Ambient Light Detection function.

If you want to turn this off, go to Settings > General > Eco Solution > Ambient Light Detection.

The eco sensor is located at the bottom of the TV. Do not block the sensor with any object, as this can decrease picture brightness.

To safely clean your TV:

1. If a sticker was attached to the screen, clean any remaining debris off after removing it.

2. To prevent scratches, be sure to wipe the exterior and screen carefully using a soft cloth.

3. Do not spray water or any liquid directly onto the TV, as this may cause failure, fire, or electric shock.

4. To clean the screen, turn off the TV, then gently wipe away smudges and fingerprints on the panel with a micro-fiber cloth.

5. Clean the body or panel of the TV with a micro-fiber cloth dampened with a small amount of water. After that, remove the moisture with a dry cloth.

6. While cleaning, do not apply strong force to the surface of the panel because it can damage the panel.

7. Never use flammable liquids (like benzene or thinner) or a cleaning agent. For stubborn smudges, spray a small amount of screen cleaner on a micro-fiber cloth and then use it to wipe away the smudges.

When you shut the SAMSUNG QE65Q8FN off, it enters Standby mode, where it continues to draw a small amount of power. To decrease power consumption, unplug the power cord when you don’t intend to use the TV for a long time.
