Please observe the following precautions:

• Your Samsung device contains magnets. Keep it away from credit cards and devices that may be affected by magnets. Keep your device more than 6 in./15 cm away from medical devices. If you suspect interference with a medical device, stop using your Samsung device and consult your medical provider.

• Do not press the screen or the front camera with a hard or sharp object or apply excessive pressure. Doing so could result in scratching or puncturing the screen.

• This device is not dust resistant. Exposure to small particles may cause damage to the device.

• When using the speakers do not place the device close to your ears.

• Be careful not to expose the camera lens to a strong light source. If the camera lens is exposed to a strong light source the camera image sensor may be damaged. A damaged image sensor is irreparable and will cause dots or spots in pictures.

• If you use the device with its glass or acrylic body broken, there may be a risk of injury.

• Fold the device before putting it in a bag or storing it. Do not store the device unfolded as another object could scratch or puncture the screen.

• Do not fold the device toward the back side. The device will be damaged.

• When folding the device, do not place any objects, such as cards, coins, or keys, on the Main screen. The screen may be damaged.

• You may notice a crease at the center of the Main screen. This is a normal characteristic of the device.

• For the Z Flip6, be careful not to drop the device on the floor, as it could damage the screen itself or the area where the screen folds.

• For the Z Flip6, when using a wireless charger or NFC, fold the device and place the center of the device’s back on the center of the wireless charger or NFC tag.

Take advantage of both screens for your preferred viewing and camera experiences. Adaptive flex mode is only available for supported apps.

• Flex mode: Open the phone and set it on a flat surface. Adjust one of the halves of the inside screen to a comfortable viewing angle. The video or viewfinder moves to the top half of the screen, while the controls appear on the bottom half.

• Tent view: Prop your device up on a flat surface using the edges of the screen and watch video on the cover screen.

• Cover view: Watch videos on the cover screen by setting the other half of the phone on a flat surface and adjusting the cover screen to a comfortable viewing angle.

When the device is opened at an angle, the screen automatically adjusts the top and bottom halves for optimal usage. For example, while using the Camera app in the Tabletop layout setting, the preview moves to the top half of the screen, and the shooting options move to the bottom half.

Note: Flex mode is only available in supported apps.

The Flex mode panel allows you to keep an app open on the top of the screen and get additional controls on the bottom of the screen while your phone is folded upright. A button will appear on the navigation bar that lets you show and hide the Flex mode panel.

To turn it on:

From Settings, tap Advanced features > Flex mode panel to turn the feature on.

Note: Flex mode panel is only available for apps that support multi window. Auto rotate needs to be enabled to use Flex mode panel.

Your device uses a nano-SIM card. A SIM card may be preinstalled, or you may be able to use your previous SIM card. This device is also compatible with an eSIM.

1. Install SIM card: Place the SIM card into the tray as shown.

2. Charge your device: Before turning on your device, charge it fully.

Network indicators for 5G service are based on your service provider’s specifications and network availability. Contact your service provider for more details.

The device is not impervious to water damage in any situation. It is important that all compartments are closed tightly. Follow these tips carefully to prevent damage to the device and maintain water resistance performance:

• Rated IP48: Resists solid particles >1 mm; tested for submersion in up to 5 ft. of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. Rinse residue/dry after wet.

• Any device which uses accessible compartments or ports that can be opened should have these sealed or closed tightly to prevent liquid from entering the system.

• If the device has been immersed in water, the touchscreen or other features may not work properly. If the microphone or speaker is wet, sound may not be heard clearly during a call. Use a dry cloth to dry the device thoroughly before using it.

• Do not expose the device to water at high pressure.

• If the device is dropped or receives an impact, the water resistant features of the device may be damaged.

CAUTION: To avoid electric shock and damage to your device, do not charge device while it is wet or in an area where it could get wet. Do not handle device, charger or cords with wet hands while charging.

NOTE: Liquid other than fresh water may enter the device faster. Failure to rinse the device in fresh water and dry it as instructed may cause the device to suffer from operability or cosmetic issues.

Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. A USB Type-C 3A cable is included. Wall charger sold separately. Use only Samsung-approved chargers and cables. To avoid injury or damage to your device, do not use incompatible, worn or damaged batteries, chargers, or cables. Using other charging devices and batteries may not be covered under warranty and may cause damage.

While charging, the device and the charger may become hot and stop charging. This usually does not affect the device’s lifespan or performance and is in the device’s normal range of operation. Disconnect the charger from the device and wait for the device to cool down.

You can wirelessly charge your compatible Samsung devices using your phone. Some features are not available while sharing power.

1. From Settings, tap Battery > Wireless power sharing.

2. Tap Battery limit and choose a percentage. Once the device you are charging has reached this level of charge, wireless power sharing automatically turns off.

3. Tap the switch to turn on the charging feature.

4. With the phone face down, place the compatible device on the back of the phone to charge. A notification sound or vibration occurs when charging begins.

For best results, please note:

• Remove any accessories or cover before using the feature. Depending on the type of accessory or cover, Wireless power sharing may not work properly.

• The location of the wireless charging coil may vary by device, so you may need to adjust the placement to make a connection. When charging starts, a notification or vibration will occur, so the notification will help you know you’ve made a connection.

• Call reception or data services may be affected, depending on your network environment.

• Charging speed or efficiency can vary depending on device condition or surrounding environment.

• Do not use headphones while charging with Wireless power sharing.

Note: Wireless power sharing works with most Qi-Certified devices. Requires minimum 30% battery to share. Speed and power efficiency of charge varies by device. May not work with some accessories, covers, or other manufacturer’s devices. If you have trouble connecting or charging is slow, remove any cover from each device.

Use the Side button to turn your device on. Do not use the device if the body is cracked or broken. Use the device only after it has been repaired.

• To turn the device on: Press and hold the Side button.

• To turn the device off: Press and hold the Side button and Volume down button at the same time, and tap Power off. Confirm when prompted.

• To restart your device: Press and hold the Side button and Volume down button at the same time, and tap Restart. Confirm when prompted.

Tip: To learn more about powering off your device from Settings, tap Advanced features > Side button > How to power off your phone.

Use Smart Switch™ to transfer contacts, photos, music, videos, messages, notes, calendars, and more from your old device. Smart Switch can transfer your data using a USB cable, Wi-Fi, or computer.

1. From Settings, tap Accounts and backup > Transfer data for device setup.

2. Follow the prompts and select the content to transfer.

Use your device’s screen lock features to secure your device. By default, the device locks automatically when the screen times out.

Use the Side button:

• Press to lock.

• Press to turn on the screen, and then swipe the screen to unlock it.

When your device is folded, use the touch screen to access shortcuts without opening the device.

Available Shortcuts:

• Press Side button or double tap to wake the cover screen.

• Swipe right to display notifications.

• Swipe left to display widgets.

– To add a widget, touch and hold the screen, swipe left to the last screen, and tap Add widget.

– To delete a widget, touch and hold the widget, and then tap Delete.

• Swipe down to access Quick settings.

• Swipe right to answer or left to reject an incoming call.

Cover Screen Settings:

Customize the appearance and functions of your device’s cover screen.

1. From Settings tap Cover screen.

2. Tap one of the following options:

• Manage: Choose a wallpaper design for the Cover screen.

• Tap the layout image to customize the elements on the screen.

• Add new: Create a customized wallpaper to save to your designs.

• Widgets: Choose what information to show when you swipe left on the cover screen.

• Cover screen timeout: Set the cover screen to turn off after a set amount of time.

• Show notifications: Enable this feature to automatically display notifications on the cover screen.

• Turn on screen for notifications: Enable this feature to automatically turn on the cover screen when you receive a notification.

• Quick responses: Add or remove text message responses.

You can customize the shortcuts assigned to the Side button.

Double press

Choose which feature is launched when the Side button is pressed twice.

1. From Settings, tap Advanced features > Side button.

2. Tap Double press, tap the switch to enable this feature, and tap an option:

• Camera (default)

• Open app or function

Long press

Choose which feature is launched when you press and hold the Side button.

1. From Settings, tap Advanced features > Side button.

2. Tap Long press for the following options:

• Digital assistant (default)

• Bixby

• Power off menu

Add a Google Account

1. From Settings, tap Accounts and backup > Manage accounts.

2. Tap Add account > Google.

Add a Samsung account

From Settings, tap Sign in to your Galaxy.

Add an Outlook account

1. From Settings, tap Accounts and backup > Manage accounts.

2. Tap Add account > Outlook.

You can set up your voicemail service when you access it for the first time. Options may vary by service provider.

1. From the Phone app, touch and hold the 1 key or tap Voicemail.

2. Follow the tutorial to create a password, record a greeting, and record your name.

A touch screen responds best to a light touch from the pad of your finger or a capacitive stylus.

• Tap: Lightly touch items to select or launch them. Double-tap an image to zoom in or out.

• Swipe: Lightly drag across the screen to unlock the device or scroll through Home screens or menu options.

• Drag and drop: Touch and hold an item, and then move it to a new location. For example, drag an app shortcut to a Home screen.

• Zoom in and out: Bring two fingers together or apart on the screen to zoom. Move two fingers apart to zoom in, and move two fingers together to zoom out.

• Touch and hold: Touch and hold items to activate them, such as displaying a pop-up menu of options for a field.

You may navigate your device by using either navigation buttons or full screen gestures.

Navigation buttons

1. From Settings, tap Display > Navigation bar > Buttons.

2. Tap More options for the following options:

• Tap Button order to choose which side of the screen the Back and Recent apps icons display.

• Tap Button position to choose the position of the buttons on the Navigation bar (Galaxy Z Fold6 only).

Navigation gestures

1. From Settings, tap Display > Navigation bar > Swipe gestures to enable the feature.

2. Tap More options for the following options:

• Block gestures with S Pen: Prevent the S Pen from making navigation gestures (Galaxy Z Fold6 only).

• Gesture sensitivity: Drag the slider to adjust the sensitivity level.

The Home screen is the starting point for navigating your device. You can customize it with apps, widgets, wallpapers, and themes.

• App icons: From Apps, touch and hold an app icon, and tap Add to Home. To remove an icon, touch and hold it on the Home screen and tap Remove.

• Wallpaper: From a Home screen, touch and hold the screen, and then tap Wallpaper and style. You can change wallpapers for the Home and Lock screens, and choose a color palette.

• Themes: From a Home screen, touch and hold the screen, and then tap Themes. You can preview, download, and apply themes for your Home and Lock screens, wallpapers, and icons.

• Icons: From a Home screen, touch and hold, then tap Themes > Icons to preview and apply different icon sets.

• Widgets: From a Home screen, touch and hold, then tap Widgets. Select a widget to add it. You can customize widgets by touching and holding them to see options like Create stack, Remove, Settings, and App info.

Customize your Home and Apps screens.

1. From Settings, tap Home screen.

2. Tap an option to customize:

• App size: Move the slider to adjust the size of apps on the Home and Apps screen.

• App labels: Enable or disable app labels on Home screens.

• Widget labels: Enable or disable labels for widgets.

• Cover screen mirroring: Use the same layout on your cover and main screens (Galaxy Z Fold6 only).

• Home screen layout: Set your device to have separate Home and Apps screens, or only a Home screen where all apps are located.

• Home screen grid/Apps screen grid/Folder grid: Choose layouts to determine how icons/folders are arranged.

• Add media page to Home screen: When enabled swipe right from the Home screen to open a media page.

• Show Apps screen button on Home screen: Add a button to the Home screen for direct access to the Apps screen.

• Lock Home screen layout: Prevent items from being removed or repositioned.

• Add new apps to Home screen: Automatically add newly-downloaded apps to the Home screen.

• Hide apps on Home and Apps screens: Choose apps to hide. Hidden apps are still installed and can appear in searches.

• App icon badges: Enable to show badges on apps with active notifications.

• Swipe down for notification panel: Enable to open the Notification panel by swiping down anywhere on the Home screen.

• Rotate to landscape mode: Rotate the Home screen automatically when orientation changes.

• About Home screen: Display version information.

• Contact us: Contact Samsung support through Samsung Members.

The Status bar provides device information on the right side and notification alerts on the left.

Status icons:

You can access the Notification panel from any screen.

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen (avoid the top right corner) to display the Notification panel.

• To open an item, tap it.

• To clear a single notification, drag the notification left or right.

• To clear all notifications, tap Clear.

• To customize notifications, tap Notification settings.

2. Swipe upward from the bottom of the screen or tap Back to close the Notification panel.

The Notification panel provides access to device functions using Quick settings.

• Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to display Quick settings.

• Tap a Quick setting icon to turn it on or off.

• Touch and hold a Quick setting icon to open the setting.

Common Quick settings include: Wi-Fi, Sound, Bluetooth, Auto rotate, Airplane mode, Location, Power saving, and Dark mode.

Quick settings options include:

• Edit: Change the order and display options for the Quick settings.

• Power off: Power off, Restart, Emergency call, and Medical info options.

• Settings: Access the device’s settings menu.

Use Galaxy AI features with compatible Galaxy apps on your device to unleash your productivity, enhance your communication, and create epic images. From Settings, tap Galaxy AI, and sign in to your Samsung account to use these features:

• Call assist: Get real-time translation during voice calls.

• Writing assist: Change the writing style, get spelling and grammar suggestions, and translate messages in select chat and text messaging apps.

• Interpreter: Live translation of spoken conversations available as voice or text output.

• Note assist: Automatically format, summarize, correct, and generate covers for your notes.

• Transcript assist: Transform recordings into text transcripts and summaries so you can review or translate them.

• Browsing assist: Get simple summaries and translations of webpage text.

• Photo assist: Edit images by repositioning, removing, or resizing people or objects and sketching things into the background.

• Drawing assist: Transform simple drawings into works of art and add new elements to existing images.

• Audio eraser: Eliminate distracting noise in videos by adjusting the volume of voices, wind, and other sounds in Video editor.

• Photo ambient wallpaper: Allow advanced intelligence to change your wallpaper based on the time and weather.

• Health assist: Get insights into your daily health metrics.

• Process data only on device: For added privacy, process advanced intelligence data on your device instead of online. Some features are not available when this option is enabled.

Set up modes and routines to automatically change your device’s settings to match your activity or situation. From Settings, tap Modes and Routines for the following pages:

• Modes: Choose a mode based on what you are doing or where you are.

• Routines: Create routines for your device based on times or places.

• Discover: Use suggested template modes and routines.

You can monitor and manage your digital habits. From Settings, tap Digital Wellbeing and parental controls for the following features:

• Tap the Dashboard to review screen time, notifications received, and unlocks.

• Most used app categories: Review which app categories are used the most.

• Screen time goal: Set a screen time goal and check your daily average.

• App timers: Set a daily limit for how long you use each app.

• Driving monitor: Review your screen time while connected to your car’s Bluetooth.

• Walking monitor: Review how much time you use your device while walking.

• Volume monitor: Choose a sound source to monitor the volume and keep your ears safe.

• Content restrictions: Review a list of restrictions.

• Parental controls: Supervise your children’s digital life with Google’s Family Link app.

Display missed calls, message alerts, time, and date without unlocking your device.

1. From Settings, tap Lock screen and AOD > Always On Display.

2. Tap the switch to enable the feature, and then set the following options:

• Show Now bar: Display a bar at the bottom of your screen with useful information.

• When to show: Choose when to show a clock and notifications on the screen.

• Show wallpaper on cover screen: Display the wallpaper on the cover screen (Galaxy Z Flip6 only).

• About Always On Display: Display the current software version and license information.

• Contact us: Contact Samsung support through Samsung Members.

You can also apply custom AOD themes from the Themes menu on the home screen.

App continuity allows your apps to transition between the cover screen and the large display seamlessly. For the Galaxy Z Fold6, you can choose which apps you want to continue using on the cover screen when you close your device.

To enable this, go to Settings, tap Display > Continue apps on cover screen, and tap apps to enable this feature.

Display the Taskbar on the bottom of your screen for a PC-like experience. Open apps and app pairs quickly.

1. From Settings, tap Display > Taskbar.

2. Tap the switch to enable this feature.

• To include recently opened apps on the Taskbar, tap Show recent apps or suggested apps.

Multitask by using multiple apps at the same time. Apps that support Multi window can be displayed together on a split screen.

1. From any screen, tap Recent apps.

2. Tap the app icon, and then tap Open in split screen view.

3. Tap an app in the other window to add it to the split screen view.

• Drag the middle of the window border to adjust the window size.

Tap the middle of the window border for controls to rotate the windows, swap windows, or create an app pair shortcut.

Configure Multi window features to launch with swipe gestures. From Settings, tap Advanced features > Multi window for the following options:

• Swipe for split screen: Swipe two fingers across either screen from the side or bottom to change to Split screen view. Swipe again to switch apps.

• Swipe for pop-up view: Swipe from the top corner of the screen toward the middle to change the window to pop-up view.

• Show multi window menu with 1 window: Tap the handle on the Main screen to show the Multi window menu (Galaxy Z Fold6 only).

• Full screen in split screen view: Hide the Status and Navigation bars when in split screen view. Swipe from the respective edges of the screen to show the hidden bars.

From the Samsung keyboard, tap the Settings icon for the following options:

• Languages and types: Set the keyboard type and choose which languages are available on the keyboard.

• Smart typing: Access features like Writing assist, Drawing assist, Predictive text, Auto replace, and more.

• Style and layout: Show or hide the toolbar, use a high contrast keyboard, choose a theme, mode, and adjust size and transparency.

• Other settings: Customize swipe, touch, and feedback; configure voice input; customize handwriting options (Fold6 only); use S Pen to text (Fold6 only); and save screenshots to the clipboard.

Enjoy a full kit of pro lenses and pro-grade video modes and settings.

1. From Apps, tap Camera. You can also double press the Side button to open the Camera app.

2. Set up your shot with the following features:

• Tap the screen where you want the camera to focus. A brightness scale will appear; drag the slider to adjust.

• To switch between the front and rear cameras, swipe the screen up or down.

• To zoom, tap a zoom magnification number at the bottom of the screen (rear camera only).

• To change shooting modes, swipe the screen right or left.

• For other shortcuts, tap Quick controls.

3. Tap the Capture button to take a picture.

From the Camera app, swipe the screen right and left to change shooting modes.

• Portrait: Adjust the background of your shots for portrait photos.

• Photo: Allow the camera to determine the ideal settings for pictures.

• Video: Allow the camera to determine the ideal settings for videos.

• More: Choose other available shooting modes like Bixby Vision, Expert RAW, Pro, Pro video, Night, Food, Panorama, Slow motion, Hyperlapse, Portrait video, Dual rec, and Single take.

1. From Camera, swipe right or left to change the shooting mode to Video.

2. Tap Record to begin recording a video.

• To take a picture while recording, tap Capture.

• To temporarily stop recording, tap Pause. To continue recording, tap Resume.

3. Tap Stop when you are finished recording.

From the Camera app, tap Quick controls > Settings for the following options:

Intelligent features:

• Scan documents and text, Scan QR codes, Shot suggestions, Intelligent optimization.

Pictures:

• Swipe Shutter button to (burst shot or GIF), Watermark, Advanced picture options (High efficiency pictures, Pro mode format, Motion photo).

Selfies:

• Save selfies as previewed, Swipe up/down to switch cameras.

Videos:

• Auto FPS, Video stabilization, Advanced video options (Video format, High bitrate videos, HDR10+ videos), Zoom-in mic, 360 audio recording.

General:

• Fit to screen (3:4 ratio) (Flip6 only), Tracking auto-focus, Composition guide, Location tags, Shooting methods (Volume buttons, Voice commands, Floating shutter, Show palm), Settings to keep, Shutter sound, Vibration feedback.

Privacy & Other:

• Permissions, Reset settings, About Camera, Contact us.

You can edit and manage pictures and videos stored on your device in the Gallery app.

• Open pictures: From Gallery, tap Pictures. Tap a picture to open it. Swipe to see others. You can display on a TV via Smart View, use Bixby Vision, add to favorites, or access more options like Details, Copy, Set as wallpaper, etc.

• Edit pictures: Tap a picture, then tap Edit. You can use Photo assist, Transform, Filters, Tone, Decorations, Tools, and more.

• Play video: Tap a video to open it. You can add to favorites, use Audio eraser, or access more options like Details, Open in Video player, Create GIF, etc. Tap the play icon to play the video.

• Edit video: Tap a video, then tap Edit. You can preview, adjust speed, trim, transform, add filters, adjust tone, add decorations, adjust audio, and more.

• Share pictures and videos: Select items, tap Share, and choose an app or connection.

• Delete pictures and videos: Select items and tap Delete.

Your device will automatically create a Screenshots album in the Gallery app.

• Button method: From any screen, press and release the Side button and Volume down button simultaneously.

• Palm swipe method: Capture an image of the screen by swiping the edge of your hand across it, from side to side, keeping in contact with the screen. To enable this, go to Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Palm swipe to capture, and tap the switch to enable.

Record activities on your device, write notes, and use the camera to record a video overlay of yourself.

1. From Quick Settings, tap Screen recorder.

2. Choose a sound setting, and tap Start recording.

3. A three-second countdown runs before it starts recording. You can tap Skip countdown to begin immediately.

• Tap Draw to draw on the screen.

• Tap Pointer to show an icon when using your S Pen (Galaxy Z Fold6 only).

• Tap Selfie video to include a recording from your front camera.

• Tap Pause to temporarily stop recording.

4. Tap Stop to finish recording. Recordings are saved to the Screen recordings album in the Gallery.

• Access Apps list: From a Home screen, swipe the screen upward.

• Uninstall or disable apps: From Apps, touch and hold an app, and tap Uninstall/Disable.

• Search for apps: From Apps, tap Search, and enter a word or words. Tap a result to go to that app.

• Sort apps: From Apps, tap More options > Sort for custom or alphabetical order.

• Create folders: From Apps, touch and hold an app shortcut, and then drag it on top of another app shortcut.

The Calculator app features both basic and scientific math functions, as well as a unit converter.

• History: Access past calculations.

• Unit converter: Convert between different measurements.

• Scientific mode: Access scientific functions.

The Calendar app can be connected to your various online accounts to consolidate all your calendars in one place.

• Add calendars: From Calendar, tap the navigation drawer > Manage calendars > More options > Add account.

• Customize alerts: From Calendar, tap the navigation drawer > Calendar settings > Alert type to choose Light, Medium, or Strong alerts.

• Create an event: From Calendar, tap the Add detailed event (+) button, enter details, and tap Save.

• Delete an event: From Calendar, tap an event, tap again to edit, then tap Delete and confirm.

The Clock app offers features for keeping track of time and setting alarms.

• Alarm: Set one-time or recurring alarms. Tap ‘+’ to add an alarm and configure time, day, name, sound, vibration, and snooze.

• World clock: Keep track of the current time in multiple cities. Tap ‘+’ to add a city.

• Stopwatch: Time events down to a hundredth of a second. Tap Start, Stop, Lap, and Reset.

• Timer: Set a countdown timer. Use the keypad to set hours, minutes, and seconds, then tap Start.

Store and manage your contacts, and synchronize with personal accounts.

• Create a contact: From Contacts, tap Create contact (+), enter details, and tap Save.

• Edit a contact: From Contacts, tap a contact, tap Edit, make changes, and tap Save.

• Favorites: Tap a contact, then tap the star icon to mark as a favorite.

• Share a contact: Tap a contact, tap Share, choose vCard file or Text, and select a sharing method.

• Groups: From Contacts, tap Groups to organize contacts. You can create groups, add members, and set a group ringtone.

The Phone app allows you to make and answer calls.

• Make a call: From Phone, enter a number on the keypad and tap Call. You can also make calls from Recents or Contacts.

• Answer a call: On the incoming call screen, drag the green Answer icon to the right.

• Decline a call: On the incoming call screen, drag the red Decline icon to the left.
